Love "Holly crap". Much better than Holy crap. Too many religious connotations. Holly crap brings to mind a peer squatting on the porcelain throne. Lol. Totally j/k. Couldn't resist a wise crack.
I just ordered mine in the Whitechapel shell bundle. Also saved 44$ using shoppay, I had shop cash, so I got mine for 245. I'm at that age where I like having quality, so I'm hoping they'll last me a long time and have amazing sound.
I have iphone and im using edifier stax s3 absolutely bonkers loud using spotify done EQ on there and ultra high quality in playback settings music settings on phone hi-res also you can go to settings/sounds and haptics and turn Off reduce loud sounds in headphone safety, really nice video you made i might grab a pair once they have the app out and probably 5-10k people because you are right about so many things have a good one 🤘🏼
Thanks for the review! Have you tried it with softer music? I listen to a lot of metal and hate how so many headphones sound distorted when I play metal but I also listen to a lot of other genres and am curious if it sounds good with other music as well.
It definitely does. I tried our CCR and I was impressed. Overall for the money these are a great buy. If you like listening to music loudly then I would recommend using Spotify over Apple Music because it allows for custom EQ settings and lets the music be played louder.
Hey man! Great review, I'm thinking of buying them but am wondering what EQ settings you use for them? Because you seem to have improved them drastically with your settings so would be a good start to copy yours. Thanks!
For Apple and Spotify I use the rock EQ With Spotify you also have the option to adjust the EQ settings. This really helps a lot. Heavys should be releasing their own app software sometime this year as well.
I read from a random dude on Facebook saying they have a “break in period” of about 10 hours and the sound almost gets better after. Any input on that subject? Will using Spotify solve the eq issues you ran into?
Actually yes, I do feel as if they got better after the first day of using them, So far they're great. I have no complaints. Way better on Spotify because apple music is too quiet and the pre EQ settings are lame.
@@CasualReactionGuy Awesome . I also noticed you said they sound really nice on your PC and that's where mine will be. I love metal and I am using Xbox headphones right now and they are horrible for music and gaming really 😆 I am in for a treat. Thanks for your review.
They are made for heavy metal music and we need an eq ? That’s a big fail. I hear metal too like, SlipKnoT,KoRn,Disturbed,Rob Zombie,System of a sown and many more. At this point i use the Philips Fidelio L4 in power eq preset mode and I never heard a better metal sound ,the first Korn album sounds so awesome with them. I have some other headphones too like Philips Fidelio X3 / X2HR,, Meze 109 Pro ,Sony Xm4 and more. But the Fidelio L4 is a masterpiece for Rock and Metal ,it’s a Bluetooth headphone but u can’t hear any difference between on a cable headphones. I use them on iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPad Pro 12,9 M2 and I have no problem with loudness. When I give them 100% volume I need 5 minutes later a doctor. Ah buy the way the most parts of the Fidelio l4 are metal and real leather.
Haven’t tried them gaming yet, they’re Bluetooth so if your console or PC supports it then yes. It always can be wired as well. It uses 2.5 to 3.5mm jack and the one that comes in the box is not long enough to use for gaming while being wired. I am interested in seeing how they sound while gaming. I’m sure they would be great!
@@CasualReactionGuy Ok, so the onboard amp for the speakers is deactivated in wired mode, so i might need a headphone amp to use these in wired mode, thx! With my sony ult this isn't the case, in wired mode they still use the onboard amp to power the headphones so they get loud and full sounding.
@@ImakeTanks I’m not entirely sure. I think it’s just a passive mode but I don’t recall it being too quiet when in wired mode. I was using it with my PC and not a phone so it definitely Got loud enough for me while in wired mode.
Too many issues with these that i'm even willing to consider buying a pair. 11. it has bluetooth 5.1 when most of the headphones/buds that comes out today has BT 5.3 or 5.4 That makes me think they were made years ago. 2. They are too big and look massive on your head, you say you have a big head so just imagine people with small heads wearing these monsters! 3. the pricing is ridicolous! You can actually get a really good BRAND NAME-headphone set for this price. 4. no app for controlling eq or sound so if you don't live the factory settings you're in for a sh1tty time.
I had Conan E8 and they were pleather. The unit still works fine after about 6 years but the pleather started cracking and chipping around year 4. It’s a little bit of a bummer because they look ugly and used even though they work fine and you get little pieces of it over your head and ears. Hopefully the heavy’s use a better material and will last longer.
i bought a set and being a drummer they sound terrible,if they have tweeters in them like they say then they musnt be wired up because theyre shit,,BIG FAIL
I got a pair for Christmas and Holly crap do they sound fantastic. Loving the sh*t out of them .
I’m enjoying them more and more

Very nice review. I saw some ads for these headphones and got intrigued.
When you said 300$ i couldn't believe what i was hearing
Broke
You definitely won’t believe what you’re hearing once you use them. 🤘😝
I got mine for a little over $200 with discounts
Yall complaining about the price ever paid up front for your cellphone? 40" tires for your truck? $5-8k in your soundsystem in your vehicle?
Weird flex lol
Shut up panzy
No, I don’t like trucks
Agreed bro. These aren't expensive. What you mentioned, IS 😂
me who bought a pair. then looks at reviews 😅 trying to not regret my purchase..
I love them. No regrets. They do have a break in period and they sound better after a few hours of use. Proper EQ makes then shine the best
lol same

Probably nice for the winter as well. Good lord they could keep your ears warm😂
Been curious about these for a while. Nice review! Also love the Slipknot flag in the background \m/

They ever release the app? Thinking about getting these for the gym
They said towards the end of 2024 so I would imagine any day now. They are awesome. I love them

Any idea if there’s going to be earbuds coming? I use my current earbuds almost daily. Headphones wouldn’t work.
Not sure, I’d reach out to them. They responded to me with their Facebook account
Have they released the EQ app on the iPhone for these headphones yet ?
Not yet, they say the end of summer 2024 they will launch the app.
I’m still enjoying them everyday
iPhone has “Eq” it’s just different
Can you use them for gaming

are they powered in wired mode or do they rely on source for power in wired mode? thx!
