Little extra tip for anyone still doing this: at the pull including the bats and the first drakkari handler, you can run into a little alcove, located either side of the corridor (shown at 5:18 in the video). This makes the pull super easy, as the handlers cannot back down in the confined space, and also no mobs can strike you from the sides.
My paladin was level 44 when I started looking at your guides. I was told questing was the fastest way to level until I tried the pirates in tanaris a few levels earlier. Doing ZF zombies was so fast, I couldnt believe it. I was level 70 within a week while having a full time job and maintaining the house. I am currently almost 78 and i have some advice to people following this guide. Pay attention to everything he says and follow the gear exactly. It's there for a reason, so unless it is a direct upgrade, follow the gear advice. Strength is amazing for paladins, so while avoidance is very important in these runs, strength will give you AP, SP, and bonus white damage. BElf racial is very useful if you're on the horde side. It has saved me a lot of grief in botanica and I'm sure it will in DTK. Most importantly... have fun, I did this because it was more stimulating to me and I like grinding mobs endlessly. If you like group stuff or quests more definitely don't burn yourself out doing just this instead. My critique is that some of the videos aren't as explicit so I did have to figure things out myself including tips and tricks on certain runs. It would have been nice to know ahead of time, but it helped me learn the class and how to efficiently use my cooldowns on my own.
Hey, thanks so much for this series. I rolled a pally with the intent of following your guide to lvl and am currently lvl 62 and starting the Hellfire Ramparts stage. So far it's been absolutely amazing and satisfying and I anticipate more smooth sailing ahead, all the way to 80. You rule man! 👍
Its probably worth it to take 1 point in judgements of the just. When it procs, its a guaranteed seal proc (not listed in the tooltip) and will give you a bunch of extra seal of light healing. Much better talent than people realise.
I don't know but it wouldn't have been accurate. I spent many hours trying every dungeon I could. Lot of time waiting for lockouts from tests, afk for editing, long inefficient leveling periods from bad dungeons etc. I only showed the best I found.
Is this superior to questing as ret once you get to the higher levels and you get divine strike? I've been following your guides since I hit 40 and was just wondering what's best once I get to the 70s. I've been duo leveling with a friend of mine. We just finished ZF together on my prot paladin and his hunter.
DTK is probably slower than questing as ret at 78 without JJ. only made it to finish the series without doing any quests. the rest of the dungeon guides up to this point will be faster than questing.
I can see by watching that you swap between light and command for the seals, but what are you judging with? do you tab targets and judge a new one every time judgement is of cd? or do you just focus them down one at a time. 90% of everything we need to know to attempt this is here. The 10% that is missing is the crucial part. What you are actually judging with...... I have damn near identical stats as you. actually, a little more hit and defense yet I can't make the first pull of the video without breaking it up into 2 pulls. Doesnt matter if i use shadow resist or devo aura i get destroyed before i can get halfway through the first mobs health pool. I have tried using command i die quicker..... Any more info to add to this would be greatly appreciated.
Also make a macro with this as the macro. 6969 rotation. Once your 76 and have SoR it all comes together /castsequence reset=6 Holy Shield,Hammer of the Righteous,Consecration,Shield of Righteousness,Judgement of Wisdom,Hammer of the Righteous,Holy Shield,Shield of Righteousness,Consecration,Hammer of the Righteous,Judgement of Wisdom,Shield of Righteousnes
yeah not sure, cant do it either I just take too much damage I break the first hallway up into 2 pulls as well, by the time Im done with spiders/shamans Im at 10min my gear is pretty much the same, might just be a skill issue on my end
Sorry the thumbnail on the botanica video is wrong but the title is correct. you leave botanica once you hit 78. It was hard for me to decide when doing the ranges for the videos if I should use the level you leave at, or the highest level to be there when talking about the dungeons.
1) Use judge of light and seal of light 2) Use Judge of Wis if necessary 3) Unless you can get this dungeon down to 12min its not worth doing. I was consistently under 20min but not close enough to 12 and 200k just isn't better than hitting storm peaks or icecrown. Not even counting the time it takes to get use to the run.

if u have 2nd level 80 paladin u can buff ur self might and druid and priest buff using drums and clear hos solo :for upto 3.2mil exp per hour with jj it doesnt have to be 2nd account as well

really depends on your dedication, you could grind it out in 2-3 days if you stay focused

Can also solo the whole of dtk at 76.
It's a pain and takes longer but definately doable. Only thing I skipped was 2nd boss.
