Sorry for all the sibilance. Working on fixing it but it's been pretty challenging EDIT I dont recommend doing Drak'tharon Keep at all. The bug from beta where people get perma dc'd in the water after the final boss is still in. So it just isn't worth it playing dc roulette every run. I think the Wiki I looked at was wrong about how to unlock the Coldarra flight point, you probably actually need to do these 2 chains: www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11574/too-close-for-comfort www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11680/taking-wing although I still don't expect any unlock to be needed at all for the flight point. EXTRA PRO TIPS! Go to the Brewfest camp outside Orgrimmar or Ironforge at 6:15 AM/PM server time to receive a 10% xp buff. I'd grab your Swiftness of Zanza first and then get this and logout at a quest turn in spot until launch. You can get Mark of the Dawn and Greater Mark of the Dawn from the Argent Dawn NPCs in capital cities. This will give you a stam buff that stacks with other stam buffs
Hi Subtle, from your videos with facecam it looks like you have a Shure SM7B that sits quite far away from your face. Dynamic mics generally work better closer to your mouth (about a fist away) so adjusting it to be closer may help fixing your issue.
^ audio engineer here, can confirm. also, a pop filter might benefit you, as would a simple de-esser in your signal chain if you're using a daw to record your audio
@@tribbybueno I'll try out the pop filter, thank you! I've played around with several de-essers, but I haven't been able to notice much difference between pre and post de-esser
Hey thank you! Watched your stream many times over the years, it's one of the things that got me interested in playing on private servers and playing Wrath again. Glad to meet a fellow B-roll enjoyer haha
Hi Subtle! It was great listening to you on blazzinbob's pod. First time I saw your content was your Hyjal PTR video many months ago! Keep up the good work, you're serving us prot pallies very well!
At 9:47 you say that you are taking 1 point in judgement of the just so that your seal of command will cleave with judgement? Am i missing something here, doesnt judgement always cleave with Seal of Command?
In phase 1 it can be used a lot because nothing really does damage, but it's a luxury item, not a must have. In later phases it can be used on weaker bosses and trash
I am confused right now if i should i buy it or not. Im already full pre bis as Prot pally on Skyfury but im using 2 defensive trinkets. I dont have any issues with threat too but i dont know during raid.
I got a quick Question: U say the Seal of Command is the new go to. But in the pre raid BIS set there is the slotted glyph for seal of vengeance...so which one is more worth ? Command with glyph or Veng. with Glyph. Great video - got my thumbs up ;)
Thank you! Seal of command is for aoe and vengeance is for single target, so you'll be swapping Seals a lot. You won't really use the command glyph outside of leveling or possibly heroics. I'm gonna have 2 specs, an aoe and single target. The one in the link is the single target, but the other will have glyph of Hammer of the righteous, holy wrath, and divine plea.
Thank you! I'd stay at Nexus at least til 71 but I think 73 is better. Nexus runs are quicker than Ahn'kahet but give about the same exp. Also, a lot of the dragonblight quests aren't doable til 71-72, so lockout questing at Ahnkahet would be pretty inconvenient if you're still 70.
Probably doable with a 4 dps comp if you use figurine of the colossus a lot and pull smaller or if you have a good hybrid healer or 2 like a ret pally or spellhance sham. Definitely doable with a healer. These dungeons are designed for people in tbc greens
I've seen some tests of it and it seems to be pretty similar to prot. The survivability you lose you make up for with Art of War heals on yourself. One pro would be having Seal of Command and Divine Storm right out the gate, whereas prot has to wait a level to get Command when we take Hammer of the Righteous. The ret spec may not have enough survivability to efficiently do Halls of Lightning later, but I'm not sure. I don't have enough data to say for sure, but I think prot will be slightly better overall. But ret is very competitive and you could definitely run a ret spec if you want to
Thanks for the video! As my pvp server is 2:1 horde to alliance, I’m planning to farm Sethek Halls as Ret for a couple of levels before heading to Northrend. Hopefully this will be decent xp per hour!
Oof yah, an imbalanced server is gonna be pretty rough. Think that's a great call to start with a TBC farm and then just go to a Northrend zone where you're ahead of the pack
It takes me 13 mins with bad Zeppelin RNG to turn in all my Outland quests for 350k exp and zone into Nexus, so that's pretty hard to beat. Northrend may crash and be super laggy the first few mins too with how many people are going there, so may lose some time too from that going straight there
@@SubtleFW your S's? I've has people with hard whistle when they speak I mic them a bit off axis .it feels wierd but it works. But I was useing a shotgun mic not one like yours. Maybe a little off axis distance
Oh I definitely replied to the wrong comment there haha. Yah been playing around with off axis but hasn't seemed to help. But as you said, different type of mic
All good I'm a boom op for TV so maybe the world made you post that on mine lol. Might have to go extremely off and raid your gain. If your rooms quiet enough

SM7b has a pop filter on it. Think it also has a eq adjustment switch. Could just be flat and low cut though. But yea a De-esser would help in post.

Nice job! I like your prot pally videos. As i am gonna do a prot pally at launch i find all the info i can get helpful.
Thank you! You're gonna have a ton of fun, good luck in Wrath!
Wish i wasnt lazy and would follow this guide
What a sick overview - love the content. Didn't notice any audio issues even casting to tv!
Thank you Merc! That's good to hear, seems to be really dependent on audio device
At 9:47 you say that you are taking 1 point in judgement of the just so that your seal of command will cleave with judgement?
Am i missing something here, doesnt judgement always cleave with Seal of Command?
By default, Judgement won't proc Seal of Command at all, but with at least 1 point in JotJ, it will proc SoC cleave
What rep should we focus on first as a prot pally?
Wyrmrest accord
Yah Wyrmrest as Van said, and then Argent Crusade. You can do Kirin Tor after that
Extremely detailed and informative video. Youre the man! Ty!
thank you!
which addon shows the buffs to the left on your group?
I think you're talking about Pally Power. Really good addon, definitely recommend. If you meant something else, let me know
Excellent video. So pumped for Monday!!
Dude we're so close! Gonna be a blast
As prot Paladin. do you wear Darkmoon card: Greatness at all times? or is it a must to buy it?

It's up to you. It isn't necessary, just a min/max thing to get a little more out of your pally
@@SubtleFW Thank you man!
Why does judgements of the just proc soc cleave?
Just one of those weird interactions that doesn't really make sense lol
If you spec into judgements of the just it makes it proc SoC?
Yah, it's a weird interaction

is tanking with full pvp gear viable too? i wont have the time to get pve gear since im leveling in AV's atm and getting the pvp gear set too

What do you think about overgeared tanking in ret spec ? What do you think are the downsides compared to prot?

I'm working on that now, hoping to have that out before launch. Thank you, welcome to the channel!
You Can get the + 10 % exp for 2 hours and save it for the prequest from the event
I think that 10% buff won't apply to quest xp, only mob kills.
Great call! Definitely gonna do that
absolutely fire. Thank you

Hey i dont understand the talent point in judgment of just.
It has a weird interaction where it allows judgement to proc seal of command cleave
Great video man!
thank you!

Last time I checked, the XP from Kara was nerfed...
