Also, “13 airtime moments”, “if they’re all powerful” we know from Abyssus & other new gen vekomas that the airtime isn’t all that powerful, it’s smooth & relatively mild flojector
R.I.P. to Six Flags Mexico getting this. I definitely think this is the one that was originally scheduled for Energylandia but was shipped to Mexico a couple months ago. That was red Vekoma track, which would line up with this video. Agreed that they really should put in some water fountains/ponds/effects to make it feel more Siren like
I don’t think this was a Cedar Point choice for the color because I heard this was the Six Flags Mexico, tilt coaster I heard they couldn’t get it approved And if this is actually the case in Cedar Point really had no choice of the color
Same gimmick (hanging before the drop) but totally different layout emphasis (large inversions vs airtime and rolls). A little odd they put them next to each other but in the end I don't think it will really matter.
It is located next to the marina so that is where they got the theme from, FYI where the Wildcat used to be across from the stage. Looks like they are moving the road over towards the marina as well since they moved the HR building off point.
Yeah, I just hope they actually show that off in the park with the theme and color scheme. If it is just a field under the ride, when you're inside the park, it'll be almost impossible to tell what the theme is or why it is called "Siren's Curse".
This is clearly a last minute thing. It seems like the original plan was to send the ride to Mexico but for some reason they suddenly decided to switch things up. Hopefully they do some proper theming.
Ps this exact ride was going to originally come to Energylandia in Poland, Europe. But they cancelled it, and i think Vekoma created track pieces for it already so they’ll prob save money to build it somewhere else
It almost feels like Cedar Point poached another parks coaster in order to guarantee a new coaster in 2025 (even if TT2 doesn't get fixed). Like this feels like it was SF Mexico's coaster, or a Vortex replacement at KI.
This is awesome! So glad Cedar Point is getting the hint on what they’re lacking coaster wise. I definitely agree with you on the theme for this ride. They need to really lean in on the “Siren’s Theme” more. At least what we’ve seen based on the art renditions. Like the LED and onboard audio. Next replace Corkscrew with a Mach Extreme Spin Coaster.
Thank GOD. Because losing wicked twister for the mouse ride has made me look at this park differently and im glad to say I have high hopes again now bc of this new ride
I don’t think we’ll lose park space. I think they’ll expand the park into that empty lot and move the road to go around it. Then it’ll be closer to water. Always exciting to get something new!
Not thrilled this is going next to Valravn, and Cedar Point has way too many red coasters. Two points of good news, though. (1) This clears the way for Corkscrew's removal, ideally replacing it with a launched family coaster (2) Siren's Curse combines elements similar to SteVe and Mav in a shorter layout that's more GP-friendly. So it should stop crowds from pooling in the back of the park.
This took me by surprise in so many ways. For one thing, we all thought their next new ride would be a new water ride of some kind or an expansion for Cedar Point Shores. Also, we thought this new ride would go in the space where Snake River Falls, Shoot The Rapids, and Dinosaurs Alive used to sit. Finally, if this is the cancelled tilt coaster project from Energylandia, we were definitely wrong as we thought it was going to Six Flags Mexico. Personally, I'm okay with that as I think a launch coaster would be a better addition to that park. Although I personally would've given it to a park that either needs a new coaster badly or has the available space for it like Six Flags America, Six Flags Darien Lake, La Ronde, Kings Island, Carowinds, Valleyfair, Six Flags Magic Mountain, or California's Great America.
@@joshfreund6008 TT2 will reopen next year, already stated by Cedar Point. TT2 looks way better than Siren's Curse, IMO, and has already garnered much attention.

This has definitely been planned well before the merger. If anything, I wish they would theme it better around the ride. Hoping these renderings aren't showing the entire scope of the project.

The only additional thrill is the very real fear of the brakes failing and your train flying off into the air before the tilt track connects. Not only that, but the damn thing is taking up prime relaxing real estate.
This is so dumb. Cedar Point has enough coasters. Kings Island, Carowinds, and valley fair are due.
Cedar Point doesn’t do theming well. They are more about providing thrills. They aren’t Disneyland.
I'm so sick of new coasters being on tiny plots of land. There is no creativity anymore.
They were going to use some of the 771 acres of their farmland but...
Stupid addition. Waste of space. Same as Valravn. Not very tall or long either
What you talking about both of them are good now obviously I haven’t ridden this one but valraven is good and this looks good so what are you talking about
Jealous CRYBABY detected cry more lmao!!!!
Cedar Point sucks
Must be a minority opinion with the millions of people who visit every year, and keep going back.
