That was extremly detailed, thank you! I just got approved and was wondering if it was too much for the annual fee, as I don't travel much but I do go on a trip at least once a year. The benefits you explained make it totally worth it!
Thank you for the feedback @rauleo55, I appreciate you watching. Make sure to sign up for all of the card benefits after your receive the card. It will take a little bit of time but login and go down the benefits page one-by-one so that you are able to utilize all of them. Best of luck with the new card!
Thank you for breaking this down, I didn’t totally know how much benefit I could actually get. I just got this card and am going to make sure to add all of these benefits.
Great video I hope you can make one about Amex Hilton aspire credit card, thanks, I’m new on this travel cards I just get the platinum, Marriott brilliant and the Hilton to compare
Thank you for the compliment @javierc28. I made a video about the Hilton cards and how to maximize the points for a vacation, it’s on my page. I’ll put your suggestion on my list of videos to make, thank you for the recommendation.
Thank you for watching @battle4truth701, yes the Amex Platinum is free for service members and their spouses. I found this while searching for the exact terms… “The Amex Platinum military fee waiver removes the annual fees to comply with the Military Lending Act (MLA) and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). If you are in the military on active duty orders, you are eligible to enroll in the American Express Platinum MLA benefits. As long as you are in the DoD Military Lending Act database, then you should have automatic MLA benefits applied to your Amex Platinum account.”
Hi @PittToNYC, I am actually finishing editing a video that will review and outline the main benefits of the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant card this week, it should be up in a couple of days. In short, both cards provide value above and beyond the annual fee. I have both and I do travel frequently and try to stay in Bonvoy properties when I can so I receive benefit from both of them. If you travel (fly) and aren't loyal to a specific hotel brand then I would suggest looking at the Amex Platinum. But, check out my next video and I hope that it will help you to weigh the benefits for your specific situation. Thank you for watching and commenting!
CLEAR and TSA Pre Check are both domestic services that you pay for in order to validate your identity. CLEAR is only at select airports but offers the fastest way through security, you don’t even need to pull out your photo ID. TSA Pre Check is at nearly every airport and affords you the ability to keep your shoes and belt on and keep you laptop and toiletries in your bag. Global Entry is only used when you return from traveling outside of the US and you have to go through customs. You can combine CLEAR with TSA Pre Check (what I do) in order to have the shortest line into security and then the least invasive screening and X-ray process.
@bender5835 thank you for watching my video and providing feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to watch it. I agree with you that this card may not make sense for everyone especially if the benefits that it provides are not things that you would normally purchase.
This is a great real world breakdown of the possible benefits! Thanks for this video.

This was awesome and well presented. Great details. Oh and I see your wine back there. 🍷😀
Thank you @cpenrose64, I appreciate the compliment. Yes, my little bottle collection recently grew by 1 :)
Great review!
Thank you for watching and thanks for the compliment @jackreston8188
It's great for military with all the traveling we do and get the fee waived 🤗
That’s a great point @ttdur8102, thanks for watching.
To bad we can't pay for trip and get reimbursed by the military. The lounge access is good though.
Global entry is also good when cruising since you go through border customs
Good point
It is free for military members and if I am not mistaken, 100% disabled veterans. Not retirees unfortunately

Thank you @ALB3RTDUDE, I appreciate the feedback.
Very good video for American people, for Canadian people we don’t have all those benefits 😢
Thank you @bobby007quebec for the compliment. Yes, I’m sorry that Amex doesn’t have consistent benefits for all of their cards in other countries.
Very helpful... thank you
You're welcome!
I’m torn on this card vs. the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant card. Any thoughts on that card?

What’s the difference between Clear and TSA Pre/Global Entry?

It's ridiculous list of benefits. It's not like I am getting 1100 in cash.
