what is the difference between a sonographer and tech? Also, what is the best program... also fastest for radiology tech? I already have a BA and Masters in Social Work and would prefer not to go get another BA. :) thanks!
@@tendays456 hi! Hmmmm... I guess I just want something more lucrative. The higher paying SW roles are once you are licensed. I want something different more hands on and perhaps with the ability to travel and make more money. :) So you're deciding whether to go this route or msw?
I wish they'd start separating MRI Technologists from radiologic Technologists. I want to see MRI as a stand-alone field given the different physics and job dynamics.
I think it’s b/c it’s very intertwined that it may not make sense to differentiate between the two, but you do need additional edu for MRI Tech and they get paid more (for the extra education) so it does get confusing.
So I have an AA in Computer Support. I hate working in IT, and kinda knew I would once I got about halfway through the 2nd year. I've decided to go back to school to become a radiology tech because it's what I originally wanted to do in the first place, but I got talked out of it by friends in the medical field. Anyway, I've found that so far, any previous schooling will only help you with the Pre-Reqs. I'm still going to have to go to school for 2 years to finish the radiology program at my college. I can't say for sure I can only give you my experience, but if you want a job in the medical field, 6oull probably need some more schooling
Radiation is everywhere, from the sun, from your phone, from lights. I think a better question would be “how can I reduce my harm from exposure to ionizing radiation?” Ionizing radiation being the only form of radiation that is harmful, but that only comes from the sun, and X-rays. X-rays are low dose though and they keep track of how many a patient has to reduce harm.

Hi Yubani this is random but why are you choosing to leave social work? I am stuck between this field and my MSW

Fastest program is the military. It was 46 weeks in total and I still comfortably passed the arrt exam.
Tnx for the infos, how about further education on it? What are the options? Medical physics? Or what?

So if you already have a AA or BA in a non related field and decide you want a career in the medical field, is that in your favor??

Be more specific with licensed nurse … you mean LPN not registered nurse
radiologic technologist vs radiation therapy 💁

Middle class income for a two year degree is not low. Also, you can easily make 6 figures if you work overtime for the non-lazy people
