When I decided to get real about my finances I read every book on finance (from the library mostly) I could for a year. Some of them were crap, but most of them said the same things. Pay yourself first, pay your debts down, buy wisely and realize that it's a marathon and not a sprint. Knowledge really is power.
Great video Marko, these are good books, but what advantage do you really have if you read the books that everyone else is reading? I suggest you to find the book Mystic Money Mastery, which holds hidden knowledge and secrets
Great video. I was lucky enough to have been born with an obsession with money and finance and i read most of these books from age 19-23. Now that i am 42 i can say without doubt that these books work and should all be required reading in all high schools in the western world. My only regret is that someone in my family or friends did not give me these books even sooner!
I really admire you👏👏 reading all these books while you were early 20's is a great job and signifies intelligence and awareness. I've read rich dad poor dad at my 40 and then hit my head to the walls in regret. Nobody around me suggested this kind of books. All i know was applying jobs and running desperately in the rat race. Unawareness is curse.
*GREAT VIDEO MARKO!* I have not yet read the Richest Man in Babylon so I will soon. Loved Millionaire Next Door but wasn’t as much a fan of Think and Grow Rich. I liked the focus on mindset BUT it’s intense focus on losing money was hard for me to reconcile with my Christian faith which directs me to use money as a tool to help others and my community in addition to securing my own financial future. GREAT LIST! 😎👍🏻
Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "book rich" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Hiyogan Jenhloe Domination - (just google it )? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to gain the mind of a successful millionaire without the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my partner got amazing results with it.
This was great, I've been looking for "save money books" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Hiyogan Jenhloe Domination - (do a google search )? It is a great one off product for discovering how to gain the mind of a successful millionaire minus the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my brother in law got cool results with it.
I think The Intelligent Investor is as relevant today as it ever was. The takeaway points for me were 1. Don't overpay, 2. Margin of Safety, 3. Think for yourself 4. Diversify 5. Remain prudent & alert. It's a terrific book which emphasizes investing in value, not marketing hype.
Great book choices! I was always intimidated by finance and thought I wasn't smart enough because I'm not a math guy. But I started with total money makeover and it explained money management and finace so clearly.
Thank you Marko for sharing all these books. I remember when I was reading "The Richest Man in Babylon" it's my favorite book so far, couldn't stop reading it until im done. A small but very valuable book. Another ones in my list to read! Thank you.
Great video, great channel. I’ve read almost all of them. I read “The Millionaire Next Door” 25+ years ago and made it my goal to become a Millionaire next door. Following the advice, it worked! My mother is very financially savvy and taught me the concepts you teach when I was growing up. Not everyone has a parent like that, so it is so wonderful that you take the time to share your knowledge with anyone who wants to listen! I send your videos to my sons in college, and share with friends. Keep up the good work, you are making a difference in people’s lives! Thank you!😊
The Richest Man in Babylon is the best one in my list. I try to read it once a year to refresh on it's principles. I've been reading it since early college and it has served me well. Pay yourself first and don't eat the children of your savings.
Knowledge is power! Great call Marko, people need to find additional resources to make better educated decisions regarding their finances-these books hit the spot!
A Random Walk Down Wall Street as a supplemental read to The Intelligent Investor since you already mentioned intrinsic valuation of companies’ stocks. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, have a great day!
I'm currently living with my parents and I disturb them all day by telling what I read everyday . I think unknowingly it is a great way to remember what you read. And now I’m currently about 80% through "Playbook to Millions by Grant Cardone. I have read a lot of entrepreneurial books and self improvement books, and this book is my absolute favorite. This book is extraordinary and really gets you to work extremely hard toward your goals in life and succeed at multiple different areas like personal finance, business and career. This is an absolute must buy if you need a push to get you going in business or you want more out of life.
I use a free audiobooks app through my public library called Libby and none of these books are available right now - so irritating! I really want to listen to The Millionaire Next Door because I feel like I’m on that track but I need to beef up my skill set on investments and retirement savings. I need to learn and understand more about how the system works so that I can actually enjoy my retirement in the year 2045.
Love the list...except Think and Grow Rich. Just too much 'just keep thinking what you want' and no real advice on the work it takes to get there. It's been a powerful motivator for a lot of people though so I guess that counts for points. I'd add to the list, "The Ascent of Money" by Ferguson - brilliant history of money and what drives how we think about finance and markets.
Really! I read Think and Grow Rich when I was 21 and it changed my whole perspective on life. I guess it depends on how were you were raised I was raised in a very negative environment and it taught me how to think positive, believe in myself, visualize success and set and achieve big goals. I think the chapter on sex transmutation for men is worth a million bucks in itself. We need to get our mind right first before success can happen.
Awesome video and so funny when you pulled the first book out. I have the exact same one and it is my absolute favorite, its weight is worth in gold!!!
Great video. I have actually listened to a few of those books (audiobooks). I do better listening rather than reading. Good advice on a few other books I was thinking about. Picked them up to listen too.
Hey Marko! Just wanted to drop in with a fact about your channel! Just watched your video about 7 ways to build passive income and at the end of it you said “at the time of this recording I have 98k subscribers and I’m thankful for each and everyone one of you” ... That was in June. It’s the beginning of October and you are at 205k and counting! So glad you are blowing up, I really enjoy watching your videos and you bring so much value to this community, thank you!
Marko thanks for your excellent advices. Keep striving for excellence and educating. Your channel has really made change in people’s life. Awesome session! Thanks, once again.
Great video! Maybe add in the timestamps to each book in the description. It'll make it easier to skip through the books we already know about/ have read. Thanks Marko!
The Millionaire Next Door is so good. It is a totally different mindset that all entrepreneurs need to have but society likes to try and squash that independent mentality.
I would like to read The Millionaire Next Door. I have been to Monaco where a lot of Europe's multi millionaires hang out. They have a casino yet the local people are not allowed to gamble there. From the outside it looks a beautiful building. I prefer seeing the sea life at the aquarium. .
Your content and approach have led me to or brushed the dust off of some of these books to add some “worth” and “direction” to my already groovy life 😎🤘
I agree I got through 50 pages and got very bored but the stock market is fairly boring just like accounting but is the language of business and money. I have dropped the book and reading rich dad poor dad right now but I’ll come back to it once me excitement of the stock market goes up!
I have read most of these books, still need to read Think and Grow Rich and Th Bogleheads Guide to Investing. Its interesting that Dave Ramsay and Robert Kiosaki are on this list together as they are polar opposites. How do you balance what they teach? How do you decide which to use?
The Intelligent Investor is my favorite. Benjamin Graham is quite remarkable. I think Ben Graham understood the stock market better than most people during his time. Although Graham taught value investing, he was probably aware of market efficiency to some degree, even though the hypothesis wasn't formally proposed at that time. what are some of your favorite books?
So which ones do you recommend from all your research?
I learned more useful info from Rich Dad Poor Dad than I did from my entire high school career 😂👍
agreed!
Make that college as well. It should be required reading in Middle School so you can be ready ahead of time
My college economics prof was so focused on how awesome he thought Marx was that we never covered financial literacy.
Chris Invests - Personal Finance Videos that book only teach how to get in to debt, but I respect your opinion
I agree. Inspirational book. Great teacher
Great video Marko, these are good books, but what advantage do you really have if you read the books that everyone else is reading? I suggest you to find the book Mystic Money Mastery, which holds hidden knowledge and secrets

Lol. Hadn't heard that word in a while.
@BarryJPR 😊😀
@BarryJPR lol

Rich Dad Poor Dad was one of the red pill moments of my life.
Absolutely. Assets and Liabilities is all it boils down to really

I’ve Read 3 out of your 7 📚; total money makeover , richest man in Babylon , n rich dad poor dad!! Great books. Still read frequently!!
Great book choices! I was always intimidated by finance and thought I wasn't smart enough because I'm not a math guy. But I started with total money makeover and it explained money management and finace so clearly.

Ahhhh yes, he does "eat his children" (interest/ dividends)
Ramit Sethi’s book changed the way I looked at finances as a whole
Great book as well. Read that in college too right when it came out.
"The New Rules of Money" by Ric Edelman started me on the road to financial health. Millionaire Next Door was another one.
Nice, never heard of the first one
Out of the 3 finance books I have, all of them you have in this list which tells me in on the right track for quality books.
Knowledge is power! Great call Marko, people need to find additional resources to make better educated decisions regarding their finances-these books hit the spot!
"The Little Book of Common Sense Investing" by John C. Bogle himself is a good one too. It's all about Index Funds like the Bogleheads book.
yes, great book
A Random Walk Down Wall Street as a supplemental read to The Intelligent Investor since you already mentioned intrinsic valuation of companies’ stocks. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, have a great day!
Yes, by Peter Lynch, also very good!!!!
I have read 4 from your list. I will look into the other 3. The Intelligent Investor sounds like the book I need. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks Marko! Just finished Richest man and Rich Dad, awesome books and knowledges! Will keep my reading with your list, cheers!
Thank you for having a good description of the video. I like to watch while I do my spreadsheets and sometimes miss stuff
Bogleheads! Read it when I graduated college. Look at me now Ma!
Thank you so much for sharing all this knowledge
