    We use our small SRS for doing parking lot Islands.
    No more push mowers !.
    Cut our time way down and the guys love the fact that they can just step right off and pick up garbage and get right back on to work again.

    I have the snapper pro ss100, same mower as z1. I bought it in 36” for some of my smaller accounts. I absolutely love this mower! Comfort, control locations, stability on hills, speed, and quality of cut. Amazing machine

    • @tellitallnow3914
      @tellitallnow3914 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I purchased the snapper pro ss100 with the 48" deck. I have a really bad back and this thing is the closest thing to taking a magic carpet ride. Never thought about the difference it would be from sitting on a zero turn vs standing. Amazing ride!! The ONLY thing that bugs me is the deck bounce. Sometimes it will bounce from 3-1/2" and lock itself in the highest position. And if I am not paying attention I'll mow three or four passes before I realize it. Not now but when I first started cutting with it. Now when I hear that clank of the deck I automatically look. I been trying to figure a way to lock it in place as my yard is pretty level. Just bumpy as hell in places. An absolute awesome mower other then that. I got the 23hp Briggs vanguard. I never use to like brig's but this engine is bad ass IMHO. I got mine used with 72 hours on it for 5,000.

    • @greggreen6636
      @greggreen6636 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tellitallnow3914 mine has the kawasaki fx motor. All my mowers run kawasaki. Ive had briggs, kohler command, but the kawasaki for me has been more reliable, and more power to the ground. Ive got a 48” gravely proturn, exmark 36” walk behind, and snapper ss100 36” . Snapper sees more than twice the use of the others.

    • @tellitallnow3914
      @tellitallnow3914 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@greggreen6636 yeah, Kawasaki engines seems to be a hot item the past few years. Brig's definitely did something right with the vanguard engine. The 23hp is a beast for it's size IMHO. I runs flawlessly with lots of power.i have noticed It don't even build up any carbon what so ever inside the muffler it runs so clean. Spark plugs are nice and bronze color. Unlike all the other engines I have ever had in the past including Kawasaki. One thing is for sure. Time will surely tell the tale of the tape.

    @NickensLawn&LandscapeLLC - I demo'd a 2017 Ferris SRS Z2 w/ the 28.0 HP B&S Vanguard EFI and a 52" deck recently. One of the things I didn't expect to dislike on the Z2 was the deck position, which is off-set to the left of the machine chassis. While I can appreciate that by so doing this provides 4" of trim side overhang from the rear tire, it causes a few other issues:
    First and foremost is that there isn't room for a set of anti-scalp wheels on the discharge side of the deck due to interference with the front caster wheel. In addition, the anti-scalp wheels in the rear of the deck are pretty tight to the center of the deck. Combined with the lack of a discharge side front anti-scalp wheel set, I found the deck "dug in" in the front and rear corners on the discharge side. The anti-scalp wheels are also not adjustable.
    Second is that the discharge side blade cuts about 4" beyond the outside edge of the discharge side caster wheel, but the trim side blade cuts about 8" beyond the outer edge of the trim side caster wheel. This makes stripe widths uneven unless you set your front caster wheel at varying depths from the uncut grass mark pending whether you're mating with your last stripe using the trim or discharge side of the deck.
    I found that this required extra concentration. Not doing so meant you were losing cutting width to inefficient overlap - I found the stripes more closely resembled that of a 42" mower. But if you DO vary your offset from the uncut grass line, you'll end up with uneven tire marks. You're stripes will be wheel-to-wheel on mating discharge side deck passes, but will have a goofy 6" "dead zone" between wheel passes on mating trim side passes if you're maximizing deck width.
    I also found the Carlisle Reliance 13x5.00-6/3.25 front caster wheels more prone to scuffing and tearing turf during changes of direction in 3-point turns than were the casters on some of the other units I've tried. These three things are the biggest cons I found during my demo. Have you found any of them to be issues on your machine? Ideally I'd like a 52" deck. But if I'm sold on the other aspects of Ferris, perhaps the 61" iCD deck on a Ferris Z2 wouldn't have the same issue with the deck offset and lack of anti-scalp wheels.

    I'm considering purchasing this exact mower, but what are your thoughts of a 6'4", 330 pound rider on this mower? I haven't seen anything on any kind of weight limit, but it seems like the front may want to raise up easily. Could you see it not being comfortable to operate being taller? Curious to get your thoughts.

    Is anyone else having problems with springs breaking on the Z2? My Z2 has broken the same spring 5 times in 52 hours of use. It's the mowing deck tension spring. The dealer said it was a known weak part but they had a new manufacturer for it now. I've still broken two of the new, improved springs. I have the EFI engine and it produces a lot of vibration---I've noticed the spring vibrates constantly when in use. Anyone else having this problem?
