As someone who's followed him for a long while, from my perspective dream is just really prone to blowing shit out of proportions. Personally I'll say it's another consequence of him blowing up so fast, in just 3 years of starting out TH-cam he was going viral and shit, from the way he's reacted and still sometimes reacts to criticism and these allegations its evident that he does not have the level-headedness and emotional regulation that bigger creators have who've had more a gradual incline in their career. He's definitely better at being more mindful abt these things now than he used to be when he first got big, but he's still not great, but i don't 100% fault him for it

But in that case, why didn't he just block the specific stan he was complaining about? The answer is simple: Blocking them could easily cause a ripple and disrupt the harmony in his fandom. With proof, the concept of "dream will block you for trying to message him compliments" will spread and his fans may turn on him. He doesn't want that, he wants his fans to be loyal and thirsty for him, so he can't afford drama from WITHIN his fanbase.

They've always demanded perfection from public figures.
