a year late.. but wtf are you on about? jake and logan have both paid heavy prices, including being temp banned from YT when at their peak. Are we forgetting the Japanese forest? Logan was yeeted temporarily from YT from that.. it was a huge deal. there's still memes mocking him about it today wearing that dumb minion cap, laughing at the poor soul who had self deleted, whilst not only videoing it, but posting it. Jake has been in more heat then i could even write here, all the racial antics against the Martinez twins at the team 10 house or whatever tf it was called. they were literally being covered weekly by the mainstream, not just youtube.

This reminds me of the Albany, NY 2011 St. Patrick's Day riot, except instead of young black social media fans turning a giveaway into a riot, it was a bunch of white college kids rioting over the bars closing that morning. Any large unplanned gathering can turn into a riot easily.

Honestly one of the dumbest takes I've heard from Rep, and I love him.
"This young content creator who has a history of harassing people in public *totally* didn't mean to cause this!" - Yeah, *No* - He 100% knew what he was doing, and SPECIFICALLY PLANNED and did this go to viral. There are multiple videos of him talking about it. You're now helping him even more by talking about it. Congratulations.
Repzion, I like you, but major respect lost from this take, and this is coming from someone that HATES Hasan.

I'm born n raised in Albany... I was at that parade... I went every year until thise kids did that sh☆t... Ive never gone again. They ruined an AMAZING parade/party for everyone. I loved how on the parade day u could walk around all over the city with coolers n open containers n it was allowed as long as it wasnt glass. I would always get dropped off at Paulies and would walk all the way back to the South end with a beer in my hand, hammered. Great times n memories I had at that parade. Similar type stuff ruined the ooen drinking at live @ 5 n the plaza shows. Some of those free plaza shows were literally the best concerts I ever went too😅

@@scentedcandle5949lol yea u can see that immediately someone tries to create an equivalence that removes any racial element as though 1350 isn't a direct fact with no context that can explain it away. They really do scramble for the comfort of equality even when it's a falsehood.
This is coming from a half-and-half loaf human, my dad was born in modern-day Zimbabwe to nonwhite parents and my mother is ethnically English. To me it's a cultural issue not an ethnic one but libs will never accept there is a cultural problem lmao, unless they are shaming their own people for their culture.

It depends on what he's talking about. Some people just call him stupid because of his views on socialism. But Hasan definitely says some really stupid things. Like his views on Taiwan. But some of the arguments against Hasan are really stupid too like the "socialism is when poor". argument. You can absolutely be rich and also believe the government should tax you more to help people in poverty. Individual charity doesn't come to the impact that having better social safety nets would have.

It was abysmal planning by Kai Cenat. And I mean, abysmal. Hasan's got blinders on to think that Cenat couldn't be dangerously naive to the point of at least criminal negligence for what ensued. Police brutality on black and brown people is a very real thing, but Kai Cenat should have taken far more precautions with security at minimum or just had the giveaway on stream or something.

As a New Yorker, I was shocked to see what took place after watching it with my mom on tv. I was lucky I didn’t have to travel to work or planed anything yesterday. I’m outraged and shocked that he did this without any permission or notice to/from the city/the police, let alone having proper security. I feel bad for those people who had other things to do there, businesses in the area, the food vendors, planned activities, doctors appointments and heaven forbid had unexpected emergencies and this happened out of nowhere, putting a damper on that/making their lives hell. I do hope he’s legally held accountable for this and those who were also arrested.

Maybe he's a great guy otherwise, but this whole thing was just incredibly stupid, reckless and potentially really dangerous. Just let your imagination go wild with what could have gone wrong. People could have died there. Actions have consequences. I hope he genuinely learns from this and puts some of his money towards the damages 'his' crowd did. It IS his fault.

I’ve been following Hasan for a bit over 2 years and lately I’ve been finding myself disagreeing with him more and more. He’s become extremely one-sided and is proving himself to be out of touch. On one hand I commend him for his strong words in favor of the working class and I agree with the majority of his sentiments.
On the other hand, he warps everything to fit his personal viewpoints and narratives. (To be fair, don’t we all…?)
But because he influences so many young people, when he makes these incredibly one-sided bad faith takes, it drives me batty. It’s so inflexible!
A recent bad take he had that had me shaking my head was right before Russia invaded Ukraine. Hasan was so sure it was all bs. I know he apologized for this take but it was such a harmful and offensive take that I had a hard time moving on as a viewer with respect for him.

It's a culture issue. These stupid, irreverent NYC teens grew up with warped moral compasses and bad values. Not from their parents mind you, many of them probably tried to steer them in the right direction. The communities they've grown up in, the media they've consumed and the political climate they've been raised in all failed them.

I was questioning what was happening (like I thought it was a protest/riot) but then she filled me in on the details on what actually was happening and what caused for this large crowd to gather around there and I was in complete shock. And I have to agree, Daniel. Hasan has been removing personal responsibility from individuals he deems in need of “protection” (i.e. in this case, black people). This isn’t a race issue. This is a social media issue. People with followings using their platforms in irresponsible ways.
Hasan is the one trying to take it to the level of a race issue. It’s very telling of him.
Hasan also has a repeat issue of contributing to the ongoing narrative that ALL mainstream media reports are agenda based and false. Not EVERYTHING is deeper than it looks.
He also does the same with drug addiction. I totally understand how poverty contributes to societal issues and is the main driving force in most issues, but at some point we have to start requiring individuals to take personal accountability as well.

Not white discrimination. Black people are people. Stop treating them like children wtf?! He makes everything about race.

Really liked the different perspective this video gave on what happened, tho I wanna say that when the second streamer said "he made the mistake of being black" it wasn't meant to be taken at face value. This is mainly cause its a phrase used mostly for incidents of black people being disproportionately harmed or killed by police, and so I can see how some people might take the surface level knowledge of this situation and assume that's what happened and therefore some of the young people "made the mistake of being black in the presence of law enforcement" which is the assumed reasoning for why the police had retaliated so heavily to the rioting. But this obviously wasn't the case at all considering it was Kai's irresponsible and underprepared event that made all of this go down in the first place.

I think the whole situation is obviously messy and unorganised and caused a lot of chaos and damage and harm. Very bad on Kai for obviously not properly planning this especially since it is a giveaway (and a lot of people like giveaways). Although, i disagree on your points against Hasan. I watched the video on his channel about it and while there are times where he seemed to make fun of some aspects of the situation he was actually making fun of the media coverage of the situation. Like, theres a black creator and teenagers and the thing that he is covering on it is how like the media is making it seem really really negative other than times when this happens with white creators its seen as more positive. If you watch the whole video, Hasan has some good points and he also does agree the situation is bad and scary and people get hurt. But its like, the media is covering the violence against the police, etc and placing it negative whereas theres voilence the police are inflicting the kids in the crowd. He makes a comparison of the media saying that a cop was hit with a waterbottle as opposed to the footage of kids being arrested and assaulted by police, like when you mentioned the kid was thrown in the cop car so hard that the wondshield shattered. Like thats what he is talking about, i think anyways.

The thing is that's not all he does tho? He mock an elderly street vendor who get beaten up, and have his shop get robbed and vandalized, saying "Oh it's just 3$ dollar Doritos" it's really feels like he downplaying the whole situation, it is a riot, there's a lot of public property and people's livelihood being destroyed, it's not just some "Kids being kids" as Hasan put it, idk, feels like he is very.... The divisiveness is getting worse because one side literally doesn't want certain groups of people to exist and have rights. How can you have a compromise between a white supremacist and a person of color? Its impossible. There is no mistake in being black. And I know she meant that as an exaggeration to speak to that fact that if he had not been black maybe he wouldn’t have faced such fast and harsh repercussions or been judged by the public so harshly. Look at the way people responded when one of the Paul brothers got on a news van after being called out for bothering his neighbors. Everyone laughed and cheered him on (except for the mature adults.) but in this case because he’s black the expectations are higher and the criticism is harsher. It’s the reality a lot of people of color face. And I thinks that’s what’s not clicking for you because you’re white. All you’re seeing is someone messed up and someone needs to pay for it. And I agree with you there. But we can not act in this day in age like race doesn’t play a role in just about everything and every situation. And you have Tr*mp to thank for that actually. Racism has been around forever but this man gave people a free pass to be way more outward with their racism hate and ignorance.

    • @AAJillSandwich
      @AAJillSandwich ปีที่แล้ว

This is ignorant are you really trying to compare a full blown riot causing tens of thousands worth of personal/property damage to the Paul Brothers doing a douchetuber stunt. Kai is being criticized for his irresponsibility in creating this mess even if he didn't intend to it was still largely irresponsible on his part.
As an AfRiCaN aMeRiCaN living in the UnItEd StAtEs you do not need to be black to analyze a situation and give feedback let alone have an opinion. You've never served in Congress you've never been the president how can you criticize the government when you have 0 experience running a country. You're just racist. Being white is completely irrelevant, also nice orange man bad copium.
How about talking about the poverty striken state of black neighborhoods or the gang culture/violence that claims thousands of black lives every year. How about the eugenicist origins of Planned Parenthood who sought to end black babies via abortion not help women. How about BLM and the millions they've accumulated from struggling black communities and others sources only for none of it to go to helping black lives and instead was just pocketed. ECT ECT.

We have seen an increase in poorly planned events where certain safety precautions were not taken to ensure the safety of the audience. At what point do these influencers, or organizers have to take responsibility for knowingly placing people at risk. Examples are Tana Con, Fyre Festival, Travis Scott's concerts, Anna Paul meet-and-greet...etc. The list goes on and on, given there are so many examples of events gone wrong, I feel as though influencers who "underestimate" how large and event can get, or who don't take reasonable safety precautions can no longer claim ignorance and hide from having to take responsibility.
