An Uber driver told me there is a "disabled" button, that if I needed that I could get a discounted fare, and that ONLY drivers for disabled passengers can provide help with their luggage or passengers. I can walk, but with the condition myasthenia gravis, I sometimes need extra help. How can I get that? Thank you for explaining.

Do you need WiFi to use uber for the whole ride or, do you just need WiFi for the beginning and end of the ride? also, is it possible to call an uber earlier than the time you leave to go for the ride, so I call an uber and I need it to wait for 5 minutes, how would go about doing that?
If you request an Uber ride while at home/somewhere with Wi-Fi, you shouldn't need to have Internet access during the course of your trip. However, if you don't have cellular data on your device, you won't be able to track your ride progress during your trip.
You can request an Uber for a scheduled time if you don't want it right away. Learn how to schedule a ride in advance here: www.uber.com/info/scheduled-rides/

So for some reason, I can't seem to set my HOME 🏠 location on Google maps. When I type in my full correct address it sends me to another street nearby. Would this affect the uber driver finding me? Cause if he follows my HOME directions then he won't find me. But if it's based strictly on my phone's GPS then I guess he would. I dont know how this works.
Sometimes the Uber app may not pinpoint your location at exactly the correct spot. Always look at the map and make sure you've indicated the correct location for pickup. If the app doesn't find your correct location automatically, enter the address of where you'd like to be picked up.
She didn't explain what uberX was, just selected it.
Is it ok to use for a couple going the same place?
Yes. UberX is the standard Uber service (1-4 passengers)

Hi Alycia,
You can put a specific pickup location when you request a ride from Uber. The driver would be given your contact information from your account when you request the ride. You'll also be given the driver's contact information. You could call or text the driver and communicate with them to let them know that they are picking up your mother and not yourself.

Unfortunately there is no set rate for rides by length, your fare is based on the length of the ride, your location, traffic conditions, and other factors. In order to see an estimate of what your ride will cost, open the Uber app and enter the location you want to get a ride to. Your fare estimate should appear at the bottom of your screen. Be sure that you don't hit the Request button until you want to request your ride.

I have had a problem with connecting with an Uber Driver several times.
Today, I put in where I was going. The name and Car appeared on my phone and "3 minutes away". I notified the gate of my community. I stood out side and no appeared. I checked with the guard and she said one appeared. I don't know what I am doing wrong. There was a message on my phone about cancelling. I hope that I didn't press the wrong thing as I did not wish to cancel.

No it is not free. You can pay with your credit card or paypal. The cost of the service varies based on your location and the length of your trip.
Paying with your credit card is super dangerous. many, Many folks have found fraudulent charges on their credit cards. Uber has no decent customer service and NO WAY TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE - THEY IGNORE YOUR COMPLAINTS UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING
How do u pay cash ? I requested a ride but in order to finish the request i have to pay with a credit card. It doesn't let me request the ride unless i pay with credit card which i dont have. I only got cash.

Unfortunately you cannot pay for an Uber ride in cash. You can only pay with a credit or debit card, or a PayPal account, which you have to link to your Uber account before you can request a ride.

The fare varies based on your location, how far you're going & what time you request the ride. Try putting in your pickup location and destination and see what fares come up with your available options.

Sometimes the cost of your Uber ride can increase beyond the price you're shown when you request the ride. If your ride takes much longer than usual, or if you request the driver to make changes to the route, you may be charged extra.

why does uber need to know where your going . just tell the uber driver when your in the car . as you might fancy a pizza on the way
You need to put in where you're going so that the app can calculate your fare. If you request other stops along the way or change your destination once you've already been picked up, you may be charged more.
