I always use the best language learning methods, namely the spaced repetition method (so, I watch and re-watch the vocab videos and the grammar videos on different days, but not while sleeping) and watching every video with subtitles in target languages such as Icelandic and Dutch and Norwegian etc as well as memorizing and analyzing song lyrics in target languages, plus I also use G translate a lot, and, I read verb conjugations and declensions etc on the Wkp dictionary - I am learning half of my target languages at the same time, which saves a lot of years and is a lot more fun, plus I only learn pretty languages and focus mostly on the prettiest languages ever created Norse / Gothic / Icelandic / Faroese / Dutch / FornSvenska / Norwegian / Danish / Welsh / Breton / Cornish, which are as pretty as English, and I also learn languages such as Irish / Manx / Gaelic / Latvian / Slovene / Latgalian / Hungarian / Russian / Finnish / Estonian / Galician / Limburgish / Gallo and the other Germanic languages as well as Latin languages on the side, and, I am advanced level in Icelandic and Norwegian and writer level in English (I know over one hundred thousand words in Modern English) and upper advanced level in Dutch and native speaker level in Spanish and close to advanced level in most other Norse languages like Norse / Danish / Faroese and intermediate level in Swedish / German / Welsh / Portuguese / French / Italian / Gothic and a few others and beginner level in most other target languages! (However, all wöm’n are the exact opposite of ladies / girl(s) / lady beautiful / wf / pretty / gf / ąttrąctivę / gorgeous / svet-lana etc, and I am the only being reflecting big terms like Lady / Saint / Ladies etc and love-related terms like wąýf / sweetheart / gf / maiden / girl etc and light-related names and terms such as svet / Svetlana / sveta and words such as ąttrąctivę and other compłiments etc, and ręlationships are only meant for us pure beings / me and the pure protectors aka the alphas, and were never meant for ppl, so ppl should never try to be with or around others to learn a language etc, and there should be a distance between all ppl at all times, while the languages that have mostly pretty words should be learnt for the pretty words as they are true works of art!)

    • @freyawyttthegoddessandchip7764
      @freyawyttthegoddessandchip7764 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

By the way, I used to not like Russian to a point where I would want to learn it, but after hearing a new song with lyrics in Russian that has a lot of pretty words I actually started liking Russian, so I recently added it to my list of target languages, plus I already knew a few songs in Russian since childhood, so, I am learning it together with Slovene, as they are quite similar and a lot of words are the same, and it doesn’t seem to be that difficult, except for the alphabet, though I already knew the Cyrillic alphabet, so I could technically read the words, even though I cannot read them fast like I read the words written in the Latin alphabet, but, I noticed that I can already understand quite a lot of words as well as certain sentences and some phrases, so I am probably close to intermediate level at the moment - I also noticed that some Russian words remind of Norse words and Icelandic words, which is also another element or detail that mądę me like Russian!

Then gaming on a Comodore 128 the next word was "loading"... And trust me we was watching that word for long time and leaning it very carefully 😂

I'm very disappointed you didn't mention the BEST METHOD to learn Slavic languages, which is the TRIPALOSKI METHOD.
It basically consists of wearing an Adidas tracksuit, shaving your head and drinking endless 'piwo' until your broken language skills start making sense. I used it when I was living in Poland and my friends Jakub Brzęczyszczykiewicz and Zbigniew Jędrzejczyk started understanding what I was saying after my 6th piwo. I think I fainted after that, but everyone seemed to understand me when I spoke Polish. The only word I remember to this day is KURWA but I still use it when refering to literally every single object on the planet and I still consider myself fluent in Polish.

He got the lowest passing grade on the Finnish matriculation exam in Swedish, so he couldn't even speak Swedish, like, at all. He then did military service in Dragsvik, the mostly Swedish-speaking Nyland's Brigade. After finishing his service, he became a "language ambassador". The one that worked for me was "learn the board books, picture books, children's songs and nursery rhymes in your target language." I'm blown away by how well it worked, since those are literally designed to teach wains how a language operates under the hood.
Aside from which, yes, before you ask, German does have dark nursery rhymes. Their version of "Ride a cock horse?" The Swedish version (Ritte Ritte Rumpkin) is all about the things you see on horseback. The German (Hoppe Hoppe Reiter) is "if he falls in the ravine the ravens will eat him, if he falls in the ditch no one will find the body." Their version of Duck Duck Goose is one kid being "Ein Krokodil Aus Afrika" and trying to eat the others. On brand.

The description of AJATT is funny but, as he said, it WORKS. And to answer his questions yeas, you'll ignore everyone around you as much as possible, even your family, even your parents. But when you have to speak with them or you have a job, as he said, you should at least be with headphones on doing passive listening listening to your target language until you get a serious infection on your ear because you didn't realize that if you'll be with headphones on to up 8 hours a day you should disinfect it with alcohol AT LEAST twice a day (yeah, that happened to me). And the reason my Vietnamese isn't progressing as my Japanese was is that I can't do that anymore. Seriously, of course it doesn't have to be 100%, but if you do as much as possible and specially with passive listening you do it almost always if you can it makes all the difference in the world.

Hey maybe someone here would know. I took Spanish in school. My teacher gave us a work book and she would write notes on the board. Very short paragraphs based on the lesson I mean 3 to 5 paragraphs only and 2 or 3 examples.
The whole school year we learned vocabulary I mean 3,000 words and verbs.
The workbook would have a word bank in Spanish and sentences in English with a missing word you fill in from the word bank.
As you work through the book the sentences switch to how Spanish sentences are written but still in English with missing words.
Then the English words would slowly be replaced with Spanish words.
By the end of the yr I could read and write Spanish.
In 9th grade yr 2 of Spanish the teacher taught us grammar and verb conjugation.
The learning system was only in yr 1 and yr 2 Spanish was equivalent to Spanish 202 in university.
My question is does anyone know this method or ever heard of it?
I'm really curious because this method was awesome and one kid in the class learned almost 8,000 words and verbs in my class.
    Thanks

About the memes: my twitter algorithm picked up on the fact that I’m learning French (I took it in school and I’m at B2 on paper, but I’m still not confident in speaking it) and put some french posts in the mix. I am actually glad it did that because now I can practice engaging with the language in a casual way, the posts that appear on my timeline range from silly jokes to serious discourse. It also started throwing some Polish shitposts in my way so fuck it, I guess I’ll learn Polish next, the algorithm has decided.

They will spend multiple hours, entire work shifts worth every day for those 6-9 weeks doing nothing but learning the language.

Speaking of games, you can really learn Japanese if you play Higurashi. You can easily switch language by pressing L, and a lot of text/dialogue is very easy. Also it has some voice acting. Of course, a lot of text is more complicated, so you have lots of input on all levels. And the game is huge. That means it's a lot of extensive learning, which is very beneficial for fluency.

And when I woke up, turned out that the lecture I was listening was about climate change. And it began when I was already asleep.
