Very well maintained bike, professional setup with good reasons and reasonable owner. Looking after the bike is key to good functionality in my eyes, too.

That was one very nice episode of your series ! This gentleman was both knowledgeable about every single part or characteristic of the bike (given the experience he has, that is no surprise) and very concerned about the well being and confort of his dog during their cycling trips. Much appreciated ! This Bullitt and the Diva one by "the Lokomotiv" are sublime ! Thank you for your work providing us with such content. As he said at the end of the interview, keep 'em coming !

Thankyou Martin for the nice words. Frank's story is indeed very interesting. He has put together a very nice Bullitt. His reason for acquiring a Bullitt 'going out with his dog Lotta' was yet another way to make use of the versatility of a Bullitt cargo bike. On top of that, Frank provided me with good photos and videos so I was able to show the story as well.

@bicycleloveworld How did Frank build the "stock" Bullitt rims into tubeless rims? He explained a bit, but for me not enough as a layman. Can you ask him for more detail? Thanks!

I'll see if I can reach Frank and I'll ask him

Sorry for my late reply - I broke my collarbone at a gravel race in the Netherlands. I bought 32mm tubeless tape from bike-components. One layer at the front wheel and two layers at the rear wheel and tubeless valves from the same company - that's it. Schwalbe Kojak 1.35, Schwalbe Marathon 1.75 and the final Continental Contact Urban were absolutely easy to mount with my SKS Rennkompressor (floor pump)@@BicycleLoveWorld

Larry vs Harry also sells a steel steering rod that is extra long and meant to be used without easy-up. I guess that will also make the steering more precise but only saves a tiny bit of weight compared to 777g.

The long steering rod from Larry vs Harry comes with a 100mm spacer - I need 147mm, therefore the Velution is the one and only. The Larry vs Harry one is too short for mounting a 147mm spacer. A huge advantage of the Velution one is that there are less vibrations from bad roads transmitted to the handlebar. After more than 1.200km now riding with the Velution steering rod I have to say it's worth every Cent even it's a high price for that kind of part.
