now I see why so many people were complaining about fox's coverage and calling it the commercial 500. there's more quiet time than announcers
I was just about to post the exact same. Normally I like to catch the broadcasts when the stars align that I get to, but compared to watching here on YT, I would have flipped the channel after timing a few of the on/off cycles. 3-3:30 on, 3-4 minute commercial breaks. Yeah, I get that Talla' is a bit different format than normal ovals and they need to sell airtime, but damn, a near 1:1 ratio is infuriating.
That’s why I wait till it’s posted here. Commercial breaks stay full screen.
Honestly, it's better without all that jibber jabber talking just to talk nonsense. Have a good day.

NASCAR may have changed over the years. And some people may not like so much these days. But Talladega, to me, never gets old. Despite the restrictor plates and the slightly slower speeds these days, I still love it ❤❤

@scottbowen4081 Yeah. All while dishing out about 200 mph and you're inches away from the wall or other cars doing the same speed. It's just a piece of cake for the average person. Just ask Bobby Allison 👍

I wonder if any of the drivers ever listen to music? I'm sure they could set it up to where the spotter and crew chiefs radio would have priority over the music (meaning the music would be muted or paused once they keyed their radios). I dunno, just something I've been curious about. Or if there's ever been a driver in the past that listened to music during a race?

I've thought the same thing but then I've also heard from actual racers it is such a mental race in your own head that you have to be seriously racing for years before your even used to a spotter talking to you or your crew chief and responding back I think music would be to much of a distraction
@@Defcon666 Yeah Yeah, I know. It sounds dumb. But if you were to stop and think about it for a min, everyone gets into "the zone" differently. I'm sure, if you are competitive in any manner, aside from laughing at others questions on YT, that someone somewhere would find humor in whatever it is you do to get "into the zone."
So I will refrain from making jokes about keyboard warriors and the ever so funny gamer living in moms basement jokes.

@@jamesandrews5426 Yeah, I see your point. I guess it would be more of a distraction. Once you toss in all the noise from the other cars, your car, everyone that might be on your channel, and (as Dale Sr. would say) seeing the air.

this late reuploads are the reason a guy from spain is a fan of nascar. The next time I go to the states I'm gonna be at some race. I think Nascar does good marketing by letting everyone watch the races a few days after sunday

Can somebody explain to me why they waited to through the caution until after Reddick crossed the checkered and not at the point of caution? I just don't understand why keslowski wasn't the winner
Nascar has become WAY too high-tech, much prefer old school
Same, technology is fine in IndyCars and F1, but not good ole boy stock cars and they aren't even anything like anything in NASCAR history but a sports car running on ovals.
