The curtains look great. My advice would be to choose the artwork first and take the colours from it for the cushion covers. Yes, a mirror would look good on the opposite wall ....😊
The only addition I would make is to get a throw in the color of the painting to tie that all together more. Other than that, looks amazing! Great job!
Big disclaimer! : Make sure the adhesives are apt wall safe. I used non command strips and the adhesive literally ripped the layer of paint off my walls.
It's an improvement. Swap the white throw for one in an earth tone shade...beige or taupe. Also add a pillow to the computer chair to soften its presence.
I felt an immediate sense of calm seeing the rendering and got the same feeling when you were done styling. It looks so inviting and definitely more homey.
Even though you're not going with the tv, I think it would still look good to put even a cheap piece of art there to fill in the wall. your projector screen should cover it up when watching something, but if not you could get a light weight piece so you could take it down and put it back up easily.
I like to decorate with things that are meaningful to me. For instance, I have 2 large scrolls on the wall that belonged to my parents, and a small sculpture that my father was happy when he bought it. I remember vividly how he laughed showing it to me. Throw things are better than the generic “art”.
I am watching from Serbia...and my jaw dropped.. when you said SERBIA. Love your videos soo much, you have been inspiration for years for me. sending lots of love from Serbia
I think i have a problem with the big white wall and the big white couch i would make a different colour on the wall like stripes in green, light green or mocca brown in three stribes in the corner behind the couch to the windows along or a bible verses in the entrance, pictures of her friends and family this is what i missing or plants did you see anyone ? or a photo wallpaper with a nice image from Seattle or Palm Springs.Maybe she changed something of my ideas.
I liked the vase and pink flowers on the side table. Also a light over the art would be nice. Do you also have a mirror somewhere it's nice in a small space. 👍
Nice improvement, I’d put a huge mirror above the sofa and framed art above the console, console area looks bare..with the mirror it would bring in more light and expand the room
It turned out great! I would have put the vase with the pink flowers on the side table 💮 And something on the opposite wall. A mirror, picture or curtains, that easily can be removed.
The important thing is that if you like, it’s your house🥰👍🏽. personally I think the other picture that was the floral looks so much better because brought other colors in the end had more life to it. This is pretty mono chromatic.
What about an art piece or mirror against the tv wall on the left side (I saw your projector so not hanging it means you can easily take it off to watch from the projector screen) and then a cute table lamp for more ambience on the right side closest to your desk?
I love the simplicity of this makeover, yet impactful improvement to the room.. great work Shelby! Fiverr is awesome.. I've used it for lots of tasks like transcribing music, web development, photoshop work, etc.. never thought about using it for interior design.
I am interested in knowing more about the rods. Do they come with hooks? What about the curtains - what is needed to attach them to the rods? And you put up a second rod for the sheers? Thanks - I just love the way they look!!
I think an art light above the art piece would look great, and you seemed to have liked it in the other designer's rendering. I bought mine on Amazon, battery operated, no need for an outlet.
Yes, I said that same thing. She literally did not even try to make them even with a simple level. You can buy advice but you must have common sense to not hang that art piece in such a crooked manner. I mean come on, please fix it.
I think it would be fun if you did a similar video featuring Havenly, which I always get ads for interior design! or maybe like a behind the scenes following a fiverr or havenly designer to see their creative process
Like you, I can never tell if the decor I purchase will look good in my home until I see it in the space. Makes it so challenging and time-consuming to decorate. Hiring a Fiverr remote designer is a brilliant idea.
If you do get some real olive stems, I recommend preserving them in glycerin - it’s really easy to do and they last ages whilst looking way better (and more environmentally friendly) than faux
Why is your end round table so far away from the couch and wall? If you scoot that toward the couch and closer to the couch it will be more “grounded”😊
The other wall is pretty bare - if you are using a projector with a screen and your screen was up at the time you showed this then I would suggest getting a piece of art for that wall, or maybe do one of those cool gallery walls, when the screen is down it hides it, when the screen is up it looks beautiful.
I studied the comparison of real to the designer's and took me a while to spot, but the carpet/rugs in rendered one is brownish, whereas yours looks off-white. I'm amazed that the carpet could make such a difference, although lighting etc too of course. Looks great tho! 🎊 🎉
i like eclectic style and have bought tons of stuff but just cant put it together..wonder if fiver could help like can i send them tons of pics of my stuff.or do ya all know of an app i can enter pictures of my stuff in ????
This is an incredible video! Thank you so much! What a great idea. I just flipped a property and wish I had thought about fivver for designing since it was what I struggled with the most as a man.
It looks really pretty. I think the Serbian one was more feminine than the Egyptian one that was very masculine. The double curtains are a nice touch. What was the grand total spent for the make-over other than the rendering?
I liked both designs. I thought maybe you could integrate the wood paneling as well. Are there temporary ways to hang the wood paneling for apartments? Love the curtain idea!
Shelby, I love your new designed apartment. I always felt it was so empty and I could tell it made you not at your best. When you spoke, "It makes me want to do more video" tells the whole story of how much you truly needed this done. Thanks for sharing today!
The curtains look great. My advice would be to choose the artwork first and take the colours from it for the cushion covers. Yes, a mirror would look good on the opposite wall ....😊

Small changes but super super effective - made it super warm and welcoming !!!
Big disclaimer! : Make sure the adhesives are apt wall safe. I used non command strips and the adhesive literally ripped the layer of paint off my walls.
I just had that happen to me!
It's an improvement. Swap the white throw for one in an earth tone shade...beige or taupe. Also add a pillow to the computer chair to soften its presence.
My older sister is an Interior Designer. I had her watch this video. She likes what was done.
It’s always the same, same.
That's definitely quite the improvement 😊👍 I think another piece of art on the opposite wall would complete the little make-over 🙂
If not a TV I agree that something should go there, although I understand that’s your projector wall. Maybe project some art or something?
a nice mirror
Looks soo much better!! It’s crazy how much of a difference it makes. Loved the vid.
I love the splashes of green against the neutral colors! Curtains look beautiful!
I felt an immediate sense of calm seeing the rendering and got the same feeling when you were done styling. It looks so inviting and definitely more homey.
Pretty, simple touches made it nice without being too busy. You did well and so did your designer.
Katarina and Omar both did a great job. Your room looks fabulous.
You had the perfect base to do this :) and you can switch the decor easily if you get tired of it. Well done!
Using a pizza cutter to bang in the screw is super relatable. “Give me something. Anything!”
Hammers are not expensive and having a few real tools is what grown ups have.
A mirror instead of the TV would be cheaper and a copy of the curtains on the other window would finish the space. Love it 😍
Ditto the curtains.
Hammering with a pizza cutter was everything 🤣🤣
lol I didn’t even notice
That's a smart girl solution! 😄🙌
I loved that part so much.
Just now seeing this. It looks very warm, inviting and homey! Well done!

The window over the desk could use a nice bamboo shade.

Definitely better! That little bit of color helped a lot. The flowers you had in the side table added some nice color.
FYI, you can buy wands for those curtains so that they pull closer to the top, makes them way easier to move.
I am watching from Serbia...and my jaw dropped.. when you said SERBIA.
Love your videos soo much, you have been inspiration for years for me. sending lots of love from Serbia
hey shelby. hot tip. if you watch 'the local project' they always do b-roll of opening curtains like the ones you have installed. great make over!
Hi Shelby how are you
I love their videos. They are so calming.
@@karlyd7274 they're soooo good!
Lighter colors make the room feel brighter and perhaps reflect off light.
I think i have a problem with the big white wall and the big white couch i would make a different colour on the wall like stripes in green, light green or mocca brown in three stribes in the corner behind the couch to the windows along or a bible verses in the entrance, pictures of her friends and family this is what i missing or plants did you see anyone ? or a photo wallpaper with a nice image from Seattle or Palm Springs.Maybe she changed something of my ideas.

im cackling because I was legit screaming how the frame was soooo crooked ahahha but I love it though!!!!
Extremely crooked!
This video was so fun to watch! Your apartment looks great!
Nice improvement, I’d put a huge mirror above the sofa and framed art above the console, console area looks bare..with the mirror it would bring in more light and expand the room
Wow I love the curtains rails !!!!! Have not seen those before !!
The curtains stick on is a great idea!
It turned out great! I would have put the vase with the pink flowers on the side table 💮 And something on the opposite wall. A mirror, picture or curtains, that easily can be removed.

Fiverr is awesome.. I've used it for lots of tasks like transcribing music, web development, photoshop work, etc.. never thought about using it for interior design.
Well done Shelby, well done! Your organization of your living room with pops of color looks nice! 🌴🏖🌴
I am interested in knowing more about the rods. Do they come with hooks? What about the curtains - what is needed to attach them to the rods? And you put up a second rod for the sheers? Thanks - I just love the way they look!!
I want to visit!
Yes girl come over
I am also ma'am... It may be heaven for me
Oh, are they sisters?
@@ashton8878 Twin sisters even ☺
Awesome results! I wish I had an eye for room decor...
Definitely getting the adhesive curtain track!!! I didn’t know that existed.
Shelby! Your remake is awesome! It looks great! I love the adhesive curtain tracks, I had no idea they were available. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍
It’s amazing what a good set of curtains can do for a room 😊
Good job Shelby! I really like it.
It definitely has a warmer and more homey feel now.
👍
Love the makeover! Could you please share where you got the green artwork above your sofa? Thank you!
I like how you used a pizza slicer as a hammer. NICE!
Shelby living in the real world. Gotta love it.
No, every DIYer should invest in some basic tools such as a small hammer.
That's very creative thinking too!👍
It's wild how the painting makes the space look so much taller. I knew the curtains would but the art piece really did elevate the space.
What a difference just a little pop of color does! Love the curtains, too! Great job on a budget 👍
Hi Shelby!! It's GORGEOUS!!!! ❤❤❤
I think an art light above the art piece would look great, and you seemed to have liked it in the other designer's rendering. I bought mine on Amazon, battery operated, no need for an outlet.
Looks great, just need to center the art on the wall and couch (and of course level to make the art straight)
Yes, I said that same thing. She literally did not even try to make them even with a simple level.
You can buy advice but you must have common sense to not hang that art piece in such a crooked manner. I mean come on, please fix it.
Great job! Amazing how a touch of color changes the look!
What a great video and transformation of the space!
It looks so cosy now! Definitely a space to be happy and calm in.
Suggestion: adding a skinny long shelf or console table behind your sofa for your projector?
I think it would be fun if you did a similar video featuring Havenly, which I always get ads for interior design! or maybe like a behind the scenes following a fiverr or havenly designer to see their creative process
Like you, I can never tell if the decor I purchase will look good in my home until I see it in the space. Makes it so challenging and time-consuming to decorate. Hiring a Fiverr remote designer is a brilliant idea.
Please post the link for the green painting you went with 🙏
Great looking results. Well done!
If you do get some real olive stems, I recommend preserving them in glycerin - it’s really easy to do and they last ages whilst looking way better (and more environmentally friendly) than faux
Tip: you should blur the after in the thumbnail
Love that couch! Can you share where you purchased from and the name of the style?
Why is your end round table so far away from the couch and wall? If you scoot that toward the couch and closer to the couch it will be more “grounded”😊

Love it, would you please link the picture you hung? Where did you get it?
I studied the comparison of real to the designer's and took me a while to spot, but the carpet/rugs in rendered one is brownish, whereas yours looks off-white. I'm amazed that the carpet could make such a difference, although lighting etc too of course.
Looks great tho! 🎊 🎉
Love your furniture. Can you send a link for the sofa and table?
Beautiful improvement. Curtains look great. I agree with the others that suggest art over the media center.
Looks refreshing! Can you share the link for the curtain tracks.
Using a pizza cutter as a hammer.....I fricken love it!!!!!
Great DIY decorating. Every DIYer should invest in some low cost basic tools such as a small hammer, screw drivers, pliers, etc.
Definitely feels more refined and comfortable. BTW - love the couch and coffee table, where'd you get them?
Everything us so nice. Please send me the link to purchase the stuck on curtain rod.
i like eclectic style and have bought tons of stuff but just cant put it together..wonder if fiver could help like can i send them tons of pics of my stuff.or do ya all know of an app i can enter pictures of my stuff in ????
Fantastic! Congrats on this transformation! How do you keep the white sofa looking so clean?
Maybe a mirror over the consule to finish it up or some art
just beautiful ~ where did you find your art - source please.
With a little help from a pizza cutter and Fiver you nailed it! Looks welcoming and comfy.
Wow!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Looks fabulous and homey at the same time. You and Sasha did a great job.💯
That looks great. I wish we could see outdoor landscaping too
just reached out to Katarina for my studio apartment in NY! great video!
Where did you buy the tracks for the curtains?
great video shelby!! editing was on point
This is an incredible video! Thank you so much! What a great idea. I just flipped a property and wish I had thought about fivver for designing since it was what I struggled with the most as a man.
Try it next time it’s so helpful!
Loved the curtain idea but would the ceiling panels work for a popcorn ceiling or does it have to be smooth?
It looks really pretty. I think the Serbian one was more feminine than the Egyptian one that was very masculine. The double curtains are a nice touch. What was the grand total spent for the make-over other than the rendering?
Hi, Where is the couch and table from??
The curtains are very stylish! Definitely adds modern elegance!
im so inspired to reach out to designers on fiverr now! this is SO smart.
That’s beautiful Shelby ❤ well done 👍 YOU ROCK 😍😍😍
Very nice! Such a great difference!
I liked both designs. I thought maybe you could integrate the wood paneling as well. Are there temporary ways to hang the wood paneling for apartments? Love the curtain idea!
Hi where did you get your couch? Thank you
Shelby, I love your new designed apartment. I always felt it was so empty and I could tell it made you not at your best. When you spoke, "It makes me want to do more video" tells the whole story of how much you truly needed this done. Thanks for sharing today!
I loved the "pizza Hammer" but I also watch your vlogs and we know the reason for it 😄💜
Your couch is beautiful. Where is it from?
Pizza cutter hammer...anyone else catch that? Place looks good, Shelby.
This is exactly what i needed i have all the furniture pieces but i feel it needs decoration pieces to bring it all together
I think you should buy a second painting for the sideboard area but it looks nice!
Your room is crying out for a sense of excitement. I think you need something, anything that’s hot pink or vibrant aqua. Your welcome.
It’s sooooooooooo boring
love it, hey where did you get your media stand ?
