5-minute Debate | Who's Behind The Beirut Blast?

With Lebanon’s long and uninterrupted history of governmental corruption, the nation is no stranger to disaster.
However, only a few days ago, disaster for the Lebanese population took a catastrophic new form as 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate left most of Beirut in unidentifiable ruins.
And whilst many blame the government’s negligence for this devastation, others have accused the likes of Hezbollah and Israel, claiming that this explosion was part of a larger agenda.
But what agenda would be worth risking the lives of thousands, and what evidence do we have to believe this was not just an accident?
Let’s take a look at a couple of theories about the causes of this explosion, in the form of a little debate.
