When he opened with "The Sea" I almost started crying!! It is one of my absolute favorites. I had the privilege of seeing Owen perform in Philadelphia in 2007 but haven't had the opportunity since then. As soon as it's safe to travel again, I wish so sincerely I'll have the chance to see him perform again. (Owen, please come back to the US!)
Thank you so much, Mr. Pallett. You have given me so much joy with your music over the years. We met once in 2007 and you were wonderful at both shows that day.
The years have gotten to us all, Owen, I remember your baby face and glorious bangs back on 2009. So glad you are doing fine! Absolutely beautiful set here, thanks so much for this.
this is so beautiful! I am a long time Owen Pallet fan and it is so cool to see him doing live looping in this way. His vocals are always so crisp and perfect, what a treat!
This rendition of Song for Five & Six is absolutely incredible. Still feel like I'm getting to know that song and there's so much and so little in it. Brilliant writing.
What a beautiful gift to wake up to on a crisp New England Morning!! I am obsessed with the violin, he literally is a one man band. I just loved the whole arrangement, and vibe. And will also be checking into Beruit as well, so thanks Owen for this and that!! Many Blessings
i saw one of owen's very first shows in toronto at this space called cine-cycle, if memory serves, which was a bike shop/movie theatre that sometimes hosted shows with wavelength, maybe? it was 2004, i was 17, i was in love, and i took a bus from small-town ontario after finding out about the show on a music message board. i had never heard of final fantasy, but the other acts - ninja high school? maybe i had heard les mouches? either way, it was revelatory. i remember him being apologetic about not having figured out the looping machine quite right, but it was the first time i even saw that tool being used to make such beautiful music. realizing that that sort of thing can't happen again - that so many venues are closing - that we are in a pandemic - that owen is playing in his stripped down home instead of behind a tiny desk - all of it just brought all of my nostalgic tendencies to the surface. to hear these songs reinvented. what a joy. thank you.
Oh Owen, I love you. I'm conflicted because part of his artistry has always been being able to perform by yourself, but I did want to see the Tiny Desk musicians play for Owen while he sang his heart out! The Sea and Cliquot though, nice surprise choices! xoxo
While I love their flamboyant, visceral, and large orchestral performances, I particularly enjoyed this performance as it felt so intimate and heartfelt. A good showcase of their range as a performer and writier. Loved to feel vulnerable with them in this performance
Tank you very much for this great concert with Mister Owens so beautiful voice great musicians muchísimas gracias tiny Desk tank you very much for your support around the world
An old friend of your brothers, John R recommended your music now that I'm playing violin. Now I can add your music to the list of those that inspire me. Really amaizing work
I got to be the thousandth like! I've loved this man since 2005 when I got into Arcade Fire then got really into him by extension. Then I saw him live in 2007 at Latitude and I've been obsessed ever since.
I used to have his cover of that playing on MySpace. So long ago. I had forgotten his name or which song he covered til just now when I saw his name and the thumbnail. 😅
Owen is hands down one of the greatest living songwriters.

I had the privilege of being his neighbour! This was the apartment below me that he preformed his NPR from. The loveliest of human beings.
Thank you so much, Mr. Pallett. You have given me so much joy with your music over the years. We met once in 2007 and you were wonderful at both shows that day.

Been a fan of O.P. since Final Fantasy's first album. This is transcendent.

Hoping to have a Owen performing in the real Tiny Desk soon. Would me marvelous to see him singing as you said

Your message has been heard, dear Owen.
Amazing, thank you 🎶😀💖
Thank you for this Owen.
Fantastic. I always prefer Owen live and the songs striped back abit and less production. Show true talent.

The music makes me feel good thanks🐥❤
Wow Beautiful Sounds! So cool!
I Love something like this Music~ ♡
At the start I thought, wow what realistic samples was he using for the strings?
I wonder if Owen understands how special this is.
All I can say is wow, amazing music 😀

THE CN TOWER is BUILT UPON OUR BONES masterful craftsman, expert alchemist.
Es increíble este tipo 🤟🏼🧡
❤❤❤
something different about owen with a guitar & no hair lol
beautiful performance
من العراق 🇮🇶♥️
Been listening to him since he called himself final fantasy lol
Only Owen gets me to lower myself to listen to NPR.
big ups for the tapir curator xD
Sound-wise almost too good. The violin sounds as multiple, by electronics?
Loop pedal! (At least that's their typical setup. This time it seems like they recorded multiple parts.)
I don't like this; I ~love~ it.
😎
Early🥰
23rd!!
