    Wow, I expected the mic test to be nearly identical, but as soon as you switched to the C1 I though 'oh yeah... this sounds better...'

      I agree, I prefer the C1 for its audio quality but I also like the M1 for its versatility to use on multiple devices... hard decision.

    I have this and have been using them to make TH-cam content. My experience with them is not the best... They can sound nice, but unfortunately, they are EXTREMELY unreliable. In a sabe video, without changing voice tone, head position, mic position, the volume and quality of the captured sound varies a lot... damping or increasing without any apparent reason. Overall, I don't think it was a good purchase and I wish I would have saved more money and then bought some of the high-end brands.

    Great video! Now I wonder if the C1 with USB-C also works with a USB-C to Lightning adapter for an iPhone? I ask because I have an iPhone 13 now but will be upgrading to a new model in the future and as we all know Apple is moving to USB-C and I don't plan on buying the C1 twice for each connector. :D

    Hello, do you know if you can use the M1 on a GoPro 11 if you have the media mod please?

    • @ifindit2319
      @ifindit2319  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not familiar with the GoPro 11. If the GoPro 11 has the ability to accept an external microphone and has a port for those external microphones of 1/8" jack or USB-C port then the M1 should work. The 2x 1/8" patch cords that comes with the M1 have two ring and three ring jacks ... hope that helps... best of luck

  • @samzilla1050
    @samzilla1050 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    the m1 is $50 cheaper than the c1. Considering you can use both for any specific phone so you think the c1 is worth the higher price tag

    • @ifindit2319
      @ifindit2319  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry for the late reply. The M1 is very versatile as it will work with any phone or camera but some think it doesn't sound as good as the C1. The C1 seems to have better audio but the C1 comes in two distinct models for different phones ... you need to buy the USB-C model for Android phones and the fast lightning connector model for Apple devices. Is it worth the extra $50 for the better sound quality is question. I wanted to try and showcase that in this video so people could decide. I like the M1 for its versatility to use on most any device with patch cords, etc... but I like the C1 for its sound quality when using my phone. Since I have both, I bring my M1 when using my Camera to film and the C1 when only using my Samsung phone. Best of luck and thanks for your comment.

      There is an App that offers various options for the Lark C1. I haven’t used it yet. Here is a snippet from the MFG. “The LarkSound app offers multiple advanced operation options to enhance your recording experience with the Lark C1. Using this powerful app allows you to view the TX battery percentage, adjust the noise cancellation level, perform an upgrade, or control the volume. The mic status is clear at a glance.”

    I'm surprised how much difference the is between the two. Personally I prefer the c1 audio

    • @ifindit2319
      @ifindit2319  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, that was straight out of the box... what I didnt do is adjust any volume settings... they both have adjustable volume settings ... I know the C1 starts at level 5 out of 6 and no idea on the M1. I would like to play with that to get them on even levels. The C1 does seem to be more sensitive and picks up more of the room echo but I agree with you and like it better sound wise. I like the M1 because of the versatility to use it with multiple devices so if I can adjust it and raise the volume and quality a bit... it may win out. Both have noise cancellation but testing it in a quiet room didnt give good results ... would love to test it in a truly noisy situation. Best of luck.

      you need boya by k4 usb c to female trs cable then use the included trs to trs cable to connect the M1. Otherwise it will not sound properly as its not transferring the whole audio signal via the usb c cable you purchased extra.

    I have the canon eos RP and I have the m1 mic but when I plug my cords into the mic slot on the camera and use one of the mics it’s only recording on one side. So when you play back the audio on a computer it only plays on one speaker the right speaker or left. But never the same speaker. Am I doing something wrong?

    I'm thinking of buying the M1, to replace my DJI Mic, that had a faulty connector to the iPhone, but I think the sound quality is way worse. Here's a video I recorded with the DJI MIC th-cam.com/video/JFYykc81KRU/w-d-xo.html
