Today, June 15th, is Grieg's birthday so I revisit this masterpiece to refresh my soul. This movement is the perfect depiction of truth and beauty. Rubinstein was a legend.
Absolutely pure beauty. Rubenstein was a true genius on the keyboard. Wish I had had the opportunity to hear him live and I envy those who did. I heard the concerto this past Thursday with the CSO and the Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski. It was absolutely phenomenal !
Absolute beautiful. Lovely piece and not only played with so much feeling by the pianist but the whole orchestra. Very moving. Thank you for posting this.
I have to confess that Rubinstein is not usually my most favorite virtuoso, but in this recording of my very most favorite piano concerto (and I love a lot of them) his performance is sheer perfection to me. Exquisite. Breath taking. Transporting. Bravo Maestro! Bravissimo!!!! Many thanks you, Cazador de Letras, for posting this. Te amo! Bravo!
Do u have parts 2 and 3 also? I have all 3 parts by Phillipe Entremont. What a great piece of music. It seems so sad, but beautiful. Thanx for posting this version. Also beautiful

I totally agree
3:07 - how can just a few notes be that beautiful?
It doesn't get better than this. Very few composers of late can even come close.
When I first heard this piece, it hit me really hard
at 1:19 the tears started flowing.....
at 4:24 I just lost it....... X_X;
That Intro is so beautiful and sad. I love it.
No sad, pure joy
There is indeed a scent of sadness but the magic of music turns it into a sweet, deliciously elevating sadness, just look at Rubinstein’s eyes.
Absolutely a masterpiece. Absolutely sublime the Interpretation from Arthur Rubinstein. ❤❤❤❤Wonderful. 😊😊
The most beautiful version of this piece I have ever heard. Wow!!!!!! Thanks for posting!
Ivbeen searching for years for this piece of music which incidentally featured on a Guinness commercial. FOUND AT LAST!
Sublime! Sparkling transparency. A stunning performance.

sublime
Mr. Rubinstein is transfixed by a vision from heaven from the beginning. Inspired playing.
I always cry when listeninh to the intro of this 2nd movement 😥. After all the anguish in 1st movement, you have this sad melody next..
Gorgeous.
Me colma el corazón de dicha y me eleva al cielo
Beautiful 😊❤
Manos mágicas
Magistral.
Beyond beautiful. Does it describe the pains of life as something that does not have to diminish us but as something else?
Beautiful ❤❤
