    I was fortunate enough to visit John's Robot Hut in 2006. Had a great time. By the looks of this new video he's added quite a bit of new stuff since then. With any luck, I might be able to revisit him in August 2017.

    • @Robothut
      @Robothut  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No facebook page. I set one up years ago and then facebook locked me out saying there was strange activity. Add to that I understand having to join a face book group in order to comment makes sense but having to join a face book page to even see the content so that you can decide if you even want to join the group pissed me off. So I decided that I would not face book. TH-cam and twitter and the web site Alphadrome work best for me.

      I should go out and video a 2019 trip threw the Robothut. The hand held camera work is so shacky that many do not like to watch it. I really need a wide angle lens as things are a bit tight these days. Lots of bots are not on display as I have run out of room.

    Don't you mean a trip THROUGH the Robothut museum?

    • @Robothut
      @Robothut  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Threw = The past tense of "throw." The act of tossing something. To make something move relatively quickly from the hand and through the air. Through = Indicates movement from one side or end of something to or past the other side or end of something. Traveling.
      So Through does not really fit either as there is only one door in to and out off the Robothut. and since the meaning of the title is too say showing the robothut quickly, then Threw might work better. Either way I think the idea is conveyed.

  • @jeffyoung60

    The sad thing is, John knows he won't live forever. He has to bequeath his ginormous toy robot collection to someone responsible who has the same passion. I would hate to see his collection split, sold, or given away or abandoned. I can't tell John what to do but probably his best bet would be to sell the whole collection, lock-stock-and-barrel to some multi-millionaire who promises to keep the whole collection together. I don't know if Jon has a family relative he can entrust his collection and building. Maybe if some wealthy collector shows up and offers to buy everything including the building, it might be a great idea.
    What John should NOT do, is to die intestate, meaning, without a will. His home state government will come in, take possession of everything and end up auctioning and selling off his collection piecemeal. John's surviving relatives might well contest in probate court that they are entitled to his robot collection. That means the same thing, the result being the break-up and piecemeal sale of John's collection. But John may care less what happens to his robot toy collection after his passing. I don't know what's inside John's mind.

    • @Robothut
      @Robothut  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A android or mechanical face is less threatening as it is just a new face, the rubber mask trying to look like a human face is creepy as a person does not know what it is. Give me a fresh new face any day.
