The Qur’an Evolved?!? - Creating the Qur’an with Dr. Jay - Episode 45

  • Today Al Fadi and Dr. Jay discuss the two layers of the Sana’a Manuscript. The Sana’a Manuscript is believed to be the oldest Quranic manuscript in existence and therefore, taken very seriously. The script however has two layers of writing. This means that there was a first version of the Qur’an that was later erased with a new version placed on top. This is a complete taboo in the world of Islam as the Qur’an is said to have never been edited or changed. Watch as Al Fadi and Dr. Jay discuss the evidence proving that the Qur’an has, indeed, evolved.

WOW! 2 different Qurans now recoverable on the same pages. A lower text that they tried to erase and then write over. This lower text written around 700 CE and then a more recent “standardized” Uthmanic text in the upper layer written around 750 CE!
The Quran is not perfect or fixed, as it claims to be. 😮

    • @vicmath1005
      @vicmath1005 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

The upper text may have been written around 750 CE. This is when the Abbasids start to rule. Abbasids did not have the Nazarenes in the administration. The qur-an is the text of the Nazarenes.
The lower text may be older than 500 CE. The carbon-dating (of the skins) suggests even older than that time. We can't dismiss the carbon dating, because we need to ask, why were the skins there in the first place? The skins were there not in anticipation of an Arabian prophet's arrival, but because they were actively used by the Nazarenes for their scrolls.

There is a Quran verse that has brought a sense of relief and comfort to countless Muslims around the world. The Quran verse is Quran 4:82. It reads, “If the Quran is a false book, you will find in it much discrepancies (contradictions).” This verse has brought a sense of joy and comfort to countless Muslims around the world; because nobody knows the actual “number of contradictions” that is required in the Quran to constitute (or to declare) the Quran a false book.

I am clearly clear after studying the history of origin of Islam, that Islam began not suddenly by single man. Some business men came to India from Iran and Iraq who later became successful businessmen and they needed religion and leadership then they gradually developed through 900 years collecting some ideology from different cultures and religions. It took long years. I have huge informations about Islam.

The Lost Early History of Unitarian Christian Theology
As I’m again working on some of these early catholic unitarians, I thought I’d re-post this talk I gave in May of 2013, at the Theological Conference in Atlanta. (Here are the slides if you want to click through them as you listen.) This was just before I started the podcast. The paper moves quickly through some big names of pre-Nicene catholic Christianity. I show that they were to a man unitarians, and not trinitarians, as many would prefer to believe. This has been pointed out in some detail before, in the 17th century, in the 18th century, and again in the 19th century. On the whole, the trinitarian tradition prefers not to hear the detailed case for this. It raises too many uncomfortable questions. This is why they keep forgetting or covering up these facts.
Since this talk I have continued to work in more depth on Tertullian, resulting in this podcast and this published paper.
God willing, a revised version of this talk will be a chapter in a future book.
Many thanks to Sharon and Dan Gill for recording and editing this. See their 21st Century Reformation website for many helpful unitarian Christian resources. You can download the video or audio of this talk there.

I've just asked Chat GPT which surahs of the Qur'an are explicitly cited in the Muwatta of Malik ibn Anas.
The answer it gave me is a list of all 114.
So it seems that the Muwatta may have served as the standard for determining which surahs are canonical and which aren't, rather than the Qur'an serving as the standard (with cited ahadith) for determining Islamic law.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line; here a little, and there a little. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing : yet they wourld not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. The important question is: Do the earlier verses of the Sanaa manuscript appear in any of the dozens of different Arabic Qurans in use today?

Disclaimer: I have gone through only three 'versions' so far.
All the currently available qur-ans use _pretty much_ the same 'rasm'. The standardised rasm.
This rasm is not far from the upper text of the Sanaa palimpsest.
We need to pay much more attention to the lower text - as today's standard rasm appears to differ much from it.
This lower text appears to have been copied word for word from a very long scroll (mu-ṣḥaf). Note that 'mu' here is the Aramaic equivalent of the Arabic 'al' (definite article 'the').
A significant point to note is that, in this lower text, the surah delineation was done much, much after the rasm was written. Possibly it was done decades if not centuries after the text was written.
The surah delineation in the lower text is just an arbitrary line. So there was no 'basmala' (as in the current qur-ans). Worse, the delineation created orphaned letters (one part of the same word above the delineation, and its second part below the line). These orphaned letters eventually took the form of 'mysterious letters'!

    • @vicmath1005
      @vicmath1005 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Don't also forget that today's book, regardless of the version, has 114 chapters.
Only about 29 of these would have come from the San-aa Nazarene mu-ṣḥaf.
Chapter 2, a Nazarene 'Moses Law' text, is not in the chant form. The lines lack a rhyme. It was/is certainly in the prose form. It appears to have been prepended to the rest of the text around the 9th century.
Chapter 85 would have been a 'martyrs' hymn of the Najran Christians. BTW, these Najran Christians are considered saints in many Christian denominations. This chapter is also the subject of much theological debate in Sa-oodi country, because the book calls the Christians as beloved of Al-lah.
Chapter 1 was undoubtedly a 9th/10th century work.

      @@mysotiras21 Not at all.
The Chapter 85 is causing a lot of headache to some scholars in Sa-oodi country.
There is full evidence on the ground in Sa-oodi, and from many external sources, that the victims ("faithful/mu'min-een" acc to C. 85) were taw-hidi (= Trinitarian) Christians.
But who was the murderer of these "poor victims who were martyred for nothing other than their faith in Al-lah"?
He was Dhu Nu-was, who everyone has claimed since millennia that he was a Juw.
But was a 'normal' Juw (non-Messianic), or a Nazarene (i.e. Messianic)?
The inscription 'Ja 1028' in Sa-oodi country clearly points to the latter, because, after his attacks on the Christians, the murderer writes about his great faith in *_m-ḥ_md_* *_the lord/king of the Juws._*
The palimpsest is the work of the community that Nu-was led at one time.
      Do you see the contradiction?

After the death of Jesus Christ only one man came in human history who honoured Jesus and that man is the muslim prophet Muhammad. But the Jews and their allies who killed (actually planned to kill but failed) Jesus christ is the deepest enemy of Muhammad who is the only person through whom the human have learned about Jesus for the second and last prophetic verses in the Quran.
Do they really believe anything at all? The Jews and their allies killed many prophets including Jesus Christ.
In the holy bible Jesus foretells of a messenger or comforter who will come and tell the truth about Jesus. If Muhammad is not that comforter then when that mentioned comforter will come?
According to the Holy bible the Jews killed many of their own prophets. So it is reasonable that they would have killed prophet Muhammad.
According to the foretell of Jesus Christ another prophet or comforter will come and acknowledge Jesus. Who is that prophet or comforter and when and where will he come?
Many christian scholars predict that Jesus will come for the second time for mellinium reign in around 2031 but before Jesus that comforter is sure to come as foretold by Jesus
The Christians and the Jews claim that Jesus , the son of God was killed by crucification. This means that they have been the deepest cruel against Jesus. It is a very despicable incident in human history. Apart from son of God they did not give Jesus the mere human right. But after killing Jesus heartlessly surprisingly they love and revere Jesus so deeply that Jesus is considered the son of God.
It is very hard to believe a nation and their allies who have long biblical history of killing the prophets as written in the holy bible.

Sorry guys but you don't seem to understand the way God reveals his book to man, for this matter the Qur'an.
Qur'an was revealed verbum "dhikr" in Arabic and not in written.
The writing was done by some of the companions of the prophet under his supervision. So whatever writing you may find that is different from another is a matter of human error or probably some disinformation.
The Qur'an is transmitted verbum from its revelation to date and to the last day. So you may argue or say whatever you want but you can't touch the Qur'an even with the slightest doubt in the minds of a believer.
See you've messed with the Gospel and the Torah maybe but not the Qur'an. And that's the promise from THE SOURCE.
    Sura at-tawba:32
They (the non believers/ the deniers) want to tarnish and/or extinguish the book/message of Allah with their mouths and Allah wills that HIS message will reach all corners of the earth against their will.

That's not a good defence though, it would be fairly easy to produce similar. But one would only want to write a few surahs, as one would need to have the outlook of the Quran author to do the whole lot, and that mentality is not entirely pleasing if one feels its badly wrong in places. It would not be enjoyable to produce a surah 9-like surah for instance, rather the more eloquent ones using Bible material would be easier, as a christian one not want to warp the Bible stories though.

God & Faith have a perfect record of doing nothing, so we have the sayings, God helps those helping themselves & nothing fails like prayers in a children's hospital.

It Is by faith Jonah was picked up and tossed overboard, being mindless, he asked for it.
What audacity, what gall, to suppose a deity, so unworthy, theologians & sacred text exist? Are we all to give a pass to this suggestion?

THE NEW TESTAMENT DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE CALLED A CHRISTIAN HOLY BOOK, BECAUSE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT THERE IS NO STORIES ABOUT CHRISTIANITY.
THE NEW TESTAMENT ONLY CONTAINS CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN JESUS AND THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL OR JEWS, THERE IS NO CONVERSATION AT ALL BETWEEN JESUS AND CHRISTIANS.

With a statement like that you only show the world that you have never actually read the New Testament. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John do not have mention of "Christians" because they document Christ's ministry up to the ascension. And his followers did not call themselves Christians until after that. But Acts chapter 11 fully documents that Christ's followers first began calling themselves Christians when they congregated in Antioch to escape persecution in Jerusalem in the years after the Lord's ascension. And Acts, Romans, 1&2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1&2 Thessalonians, 1&2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1&2 Peter, 1&2&3 John, Jude, and Revelation all cover this era.

If you'd done a small amount of reading of the NEW TESTAMENT, you'd see that Jesus also had conversations with Romans, Greeks, Sumaritans, Syrians and Canaanites. So be careful, your taquyya is showing.
