    Saw an American special forces guy say in most cases he would run as in the majority of fights the outcome is bad. Only when his life is in real threat is it worth fighting. As I get older I tend to agree. Great advice guys.,👍🏻

      @@davidfrancis6947 interesting. I've read a bit of Chinese philosophy and they speak of "taking the line of least resistance". To make your mind up on a situation that you haven't confronted you yet seems to be more about ego than rational thinking. But you have to live you life as you feel right.

    All connected at the hip. Sounds funny, but definitely increases the force. Especially on the receiving end of the punch. Really enjoy your videos. Especially the dark season.

    To increase power, rotate the hip, yes. But, as you throw that right punch and the right hip rotates forward, the right knee bends - or- is it the right knee bends to rotate the hip? The truth can be either/or.
    One way to fire that hip quickly, is to bend the knee by dropping the knee a little. Boxers often do this by pivoting the right foot to the left, pivoting on the ball of the foot. This requires the heal to hover slightly. In conclusion, to deliver a quick rt punch with power: hover the rt heal, with the left foot planted, quickly rotate the rt ft on the balls of that foot. This drops the rt knee, which rotates the hip, which adds to the quickness, power (and distance) of the punch.

    I love mixing aikido with wing chung. As a throat punch stops anyone no matter the size. Can't breath Can't fight. It's a direct attack on vital sections to cripple your attacker and best zones are throat or ball sack. As you ain't getting up quickly

    May I remind viewers that the UK criminal justice system is in chaos. If one is arrested for criminal assault it is quite common to spend between 6-12 months in prison on REMAND while waiting trial. If found not guilty, you receive zero compensation and are left to recover your life

    It's probably better to use a palm strike to avoid injury to your hand. It can deliver at least as much blunt force as a punch.

    • @danielmconnolly
      @danielmconnolly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and an elbow to the jaw works great too. Punching in most cases is stupid unless you're hitting a soft target like the stomach or leg etc...

      Punch only if you're pretty certain you're gonna connect with the chin which is his target in this example. Otherwise palm strike and hammer fist and lots of them.

    This is what security guards are taught. Also keep your hands out of your pockets. Took me ages to break the habit i was shocking for it.. Its quiet common too see but if you look at most security they keep their hand up and out of their pocket. If your talking to a guard and they have their hand at belly height it not personal its just what we are trained to do gotta be ready for any thing from any one. The guards that dont keep their hands up are slacking off hahaha
