- What's up gals & pals? I'll be honest, I'm a sucker for a cocktail with a fun or funny name. That's what led me to today's cocktail. Does the name do the cocktail justice? Watch to find out. I Hope you enjoy. Cheers!

What’s your favorite cocktail name? 🍹
Anything with a pun is a favourite
@CoachVinoLLC wow.. tough to answer that one.. if I had to say, anything that has a " Southern flair or Southern name or style cocktails" would be my go-to. Maybe because of my heritage, roots and I'm from the South.
Smith & Cross AND I get to use 2 of my homemade liqueurs!! This one is happening!!!
Smith & Cross is a MUST in this one!!
Vino, This is lookg fine!!!
Thanks Dave! Lots going on in this one.
So glad you mentioned those changes at the end.. I was thinking the same thing as you were putting it together.. like "woa, AND demerara syrup? AND only 1 oz rum?.. this is gonna be the sweetest cocktail..." so ya, tossin out the demerara altogether, maybe lowering 1 other sweetener, would help it sing a little better. But, I like all the selection of ingredients! a fun one! Cheers, Vino!!
Yeah, I saw going into it that the ingredients looked fun but not terribly balanced. Still felt worth trying. My assumptions were correct. I've since rebalanced out of curiosity and it was stellar. Cheers, my friend!
Great cocktail, goes well with another serve called The Afternoon Delight
I’ll have to check out that Afternoon Delight!
@@CoachVinoLLC it’s the one from Leandro of the educated barfly to be specific
such a great name! good cocktail too!
Gotta love a good name cocktail!
I do really like the name I got some awesome rum for this cocktail!
You know how fun a good name is. You've got a few cool ones in your repertoire.
@@CoachVinoLLC honestly my bear trap name got me over the edge to 3rd place one competition
One of my favorite cocktail names is actually one of my favorite cocktails. The Blood and Sand has an epic sound to it. Always makes me think of a fight to the death on the sand. Named after a bull fighting movie means it's accurate. My favorite name ive come up with is "The No Life King." A drink based on an anime character (a Vampire) that i've been working on for years trying to get it just right. As always great video good sir.
The "Blood and Sand" is definitely one of the most bad ass names. However I find it to be a sub-par cocktail. 😅 That said, "The No Life King" sounds like a sick album name too!
@CoachVinoLLC You know what I forgot to mention when I make a blood and sand I use acid adjusted blood orange juice. The original specs are lack luster. I've made it my way so often I forgot how the original is made.
@@kawonewilliams1949 DM me your specs when you have a chance. 🤙🏾
Sounds like a fun tiki drink! you could make a variation and call it Brown Chicken Brown Cow, maybe with chocolate milk? idk
ha! I think an amaro latte version would be better suited for a Brown Chicken Brown Cow name.
I like the name🤩
Thanks, Silviu. It's a really fun name. ✌🏾
AWESOME!!! I get to use my homemade, ginger and demerra syrups as well as my recently scored Velvet Falernum ( had to hunt for that one and it was hard to get ) so I know this WILL be great!
My man! What’s better than having all the ingredients for a cocktail? Feels good! Enjoy that Velvet Falernum. That’s some damn good stuff! Cheers brother!
@CoachVinoLLC yes sir, definitely is!
I'm gonna try something like this instead:
(60 ml) Aged Rum
(15 ml) Banana Liqueur
(15 ml) Falernum
(22.5 ml) Lime Juice
2 oz (45 ml) Grapefruit Juice
(7.5 ml) Ginger Syrup
(7.5 ml) Demerara Syrup
Will post results :)
I’m digging those specs! Definitely report back! ✌🏾
Am I the only one who sing-songs when I try to say this cocktail's name?
Ha! It took a lot of practice off camera for me to nail this name. 😅
