Hi, I'm one of the Clangen devs! This was really fun to watch, and I actually wanted to jump in and address the stuff you mentioned abt the feather accessory. Some of our devs are indigenous people and we had a lot of discussion happen before those accessories were added. They were very deliberately kept away from the head/ear area and were both approved and encouraged by our indigenous team members. I just wanted to clear that up, though I understand if it still feels uncomfortable for some people as it is a very contentious topic in the community.
I’m currently playing this game on Xbox I like it a lot although it doesn’t seem similar to what I see from most of the people making videos about this game with the screens for the new clans and stuff so I’m wondering is there like a specific site it’s on or is it just random because I’m on Xbox Also good work on the video. I like it a lot.
I'm glad you asked if cats could be evil and kill each other, because I actually have a kinda insane story about that. So, one of my cats was murderd under unexplained circumstances one day, and since they had defected to my clan as an apprentice, I initially suspected it might have been some of their old clanmates. It wasn't until months later that an apprentice heard the actual killer muttering about the deed in their sleep, confirming it was them. Which kinda sucked, since I then had to exile her instead of hooking her up with the deputy's son.
I absolutely love this video with all my heart. I think it has to do with the humor in it that keeps me coming back, I've watched other people play this game and they are either super serious no funny business, or the humor is just not my type, or it happens at a pace that is way too quick. Ohhh this might be my new favorite clangen series. The editing is hilarious! Some story things I thought were neat: • Accident-prone Jumpfoot being mates with a medicine cat is incredibly fun • Weedsmoke kinda feels like a deadbeat dad, what with the way his only reaction to Yarrowwhisker's death being moving on, how little he interacts with his kids, his... general vibes so to speak? It's actually really interesting! • do you think the smokeclan apprentices that keep getting lost and the one pigeonstar saved are all the same, one apprentice? • Grousewing waking up they're sibling like "hey dude sorry about that but I had to steal your tail". You can tell they're Weedsmoke's kid lmao. • I've never seen a leader lose this many lives in such quick succession before, really shows how ready pigeonstar is to throw herself into danger. Surely this will not have any unwanted consequences! Looking forward to seeing more of these guy's adventures!

I was playing clangen while watching this and I picked up a older she-cat on the side of the thunderpath named "Skyrim" I geeked out about it for a long while before I could bring myself to continue playing
hey i know this video is a little old but i just wanted to say how much i deeply appreciate the time and effort you put into thoroughly captioning your videos..... especially on longer ones like these i know its gotta Suck but it really makes it more accessible (not hoh but i have pretty bad auditory processing issues so i usually need subtitles or i cant watch videos) and especially labeling it with [cc] just makes things so much easier and more welcoming. :) thank you

11:26 it doesn’t seem to limit cats in general, one time I had over 900 living cats at once and around 70 medicine cats but then they forgot to have kits and started dying out so DipClan is forever in stasis unless I decide to see how they were doing
Noice :-P I had a clan on that website but I lost literally everything oof- last few things I recall of it is that the clan was 900+ moons old, the clan constantly had nightmares about the rushing river nearby, and we were like 98% immune to snake bites. The only reason my clan lived so long was cause everytime the clan was starting to get small, suddenly a kittypet or loner wants to join, another clan cat switches to our clan, some cat finds and abandoned litter of kits, some cats literally become mates and have kits lol. Every time Pigeonstar was mentioned I had to remind myself that this is a different Pigeonstar than the one someone in a Discord server I'm in had ^^' That Pigeonstar was male, gay, a serial kit adopter (he legit had like 12 children by the time he died), and could _not_ catch a break. He was abandoned by his mom, only for said mom to end up joining the clan anyway several moons later, was by default just grouchy while he was an apprentice (Jayfeather vibes, basically), iirc lost a friend not long before his warrior ceremony (he was named Pigeonfeather), lost several clanmates over the course of about 3-4 years, including losing his previous mentor (who also happened to be the previous protagonist of the story) in a mass extinction event (a flood in this case), got a tiny bit of light when he found his mate and adopted a litter of kits, and over the years basically kept switching between losing cats and adopting kits, until he was eventually made deputy. Aaaaand it was even further downhill from there, with him eventually being made leader after the previous one died, and I shit you not, in the time that he was leader (which was at least 2-3 years ingame iirc, if not more) I don't think he ever spent more than 2 consecutive moons _not_ grieving. Early on in his leadership he lost his mom, and close to the end of it he lost his mate. After that he just became more and more unstable, until he eventually fucked up so bad that he accidentally got one of his clanmates killed. After that, his medicine cat convinced him to step down as leader. I think he spent a total of 3 moons in the elders' den before dying himself to a falling tree. My guy could not catch a _break_ ^^'
You're right but why would they name a cat that...? Some other commenters have suggested "fleet" might referring to speed instead. Thanks for the info tho!
Perhaps Rotkit's mother died in childbirth and the others blamed Rotkit and named them as such, and either Rotkit got sick and died or got murdered or something
Finally got time to sit down and watch this, I hope we get to see more of you playing this (even if it isn't StoneClan, just read your description and I'm so sorry you lost your save omg). oh absolutely, I'm starting to transition over to "medic" and I wish more Warriors fanclan stuff did the same. I get why people can't really do it in the context of referring to the books themselves but it's an important change tbh

(Even with things that matter less, like Tom cats and ‘she cats’ I just hate that that’s what it’s called 😂 I’ve seen people use mollie cat instead and in one cool random clan generator it calls enby cats Jack which I thought was so cool so I’ve also adopted that way of speaking too! But that’s just a personal preference.) I do really think it’s more important people should start calling ‘em Medics or healers instead. My apologies if u said all that somewhere in ur video as I’m still watching 😂

It's funny seeing you laugh at Cheeselilac and Weedkit's names, but on my first run of Clangen I actually got a kittypet join my clan named Cheetoman. He decided to keep his name when he joined the clan.
53:41 I put 2 of my cats together on patrol every time for a while and now they're mates. I did that bc they already had crushes on each other, but I think putting them on patrol helped

Only outsiders get to be medicine cats and mediators. All the retired cats become elders. The Medicine Cat Challenge : All the base cats including leader and deputy are medicine cats. Only outsiders get to be warriors and mediators. All the retired cats become medicine cats. The Mediator Challenge : All the base cats including leader and deputy are mediators. Only outsiders get to be warriors and medicine cats. All the retired cats become mediators. The Trap Neuter Return Challenge : All the cats that get caught by twolegs have the "prevent kits" toggle. Same for the cats that disappear then show up wearing a collar or caught outside territory during the moon events. The Opposite Challenge : The warriors are forbidden to have kits. The medicine cats are allowed to have kits. Others like mediators and elders are still allowed to have kits. The One On One Challenge : Every mentor each have a single one apprentice. The Four By Four Challenge : The new clan starts with four warriors, four medicine cats and four mediators. The True Love Challenge : All the base cats are adults and couples. Never interfere with any new relationships unless the age gap is problematic. The Polygamous Challenge : Only the leader gets to have multiple mates. The cats are allowed to become mates or break up with the leader. Never interfere with any romances unless the insubordinates became a couple or had kits behind the leader's back. There are ways in dealing with it : Kill or exile the kits and the parents. Or just break up the couples and give them three chances not to do it again. The Young Challenge : All the base cats are apprentices and kits. The Old Challenge : All the base cats are elders and seniors. The Voting Challenge : The clan starts off with no leader and deputy. This particular clan sees the star clan for what it is - a flawed corrupt system. The clan plan to hijack the star clan and exposing the hypocrisy of it all. The clan did it to make a point, using "born evil" and "love too much" and "frecklewish" logic against the star clan. All the cats with good positive traits are punished. All the cats with evil negative traits are rewarded. The Alphabet Challenge : Name the clan born kits from A to Z. The Rainbow Challenge : Name the clan born kits after colours. The Number Challenge : Name clan born kits after numbers starting with Zerokit.

Aw thanks! learning how to draw cats opening their mouths was a hell of a learning curve; I knew i'd need open mouths for my "How Ashfur died" video so the day before I made it, I sat down w/a TON of references, both photos & other Warriors memes, and studied the HELL out of them. looking at skulls really helps show how the jaw hinges too. I really recommend trying the same!

I know I’m really late to this but I wanted to say that on one of my clangen’s I’ve had two cats join the clan one named ‘Cheetoman’ and the other ’Ah’ and the moon after Ah joined he became an elder :)
Send two to three cats at a time for training instead of big groups. Their exp goes up quicker and if you want to gats to gain relationship faster send them on patrols alone. Smart and great hunters are good for hunting patrols. Great teachers are great for training patrols. And those that are good talkers and good fighters should go on border patrols. If they get into a fight having a fighter on the team is great. And they're less likely to leave other clans patrols they may come across in good graces if there is a charismatic or good talker on the patrol.
*side note, I noticed you only picked 4 more cats for your clan at the beginning and this confused me at first, but you can actually pick 4 to 7 more cats, so you can have a total of like 10

That Pigeonstar was male, gay, a serial kit adopter (he legit had like 12 children by the time he died), and could _not_ catch a break.
He was abandoned by his mom, only for said mom to end up joining the clan anyway several moons later, was by default just grouchy while he was an apprentice (Jayfeather vibes, basically), iirc lost a friend not long before his warrior ceremony (he was named Pigeonfeather), lost several clanmates over the course of about 3-4 years, including losing his previous mentor (who also happened to be the previous protagonist of the story) in a mass extinction event (a flood in this case), got a tiny bit of light when he found his mate and adopted a litter of kits, and over the years basically kept switching between losing cats and adopting kits, until he was eventually made deputy. Aaaaand it was even further downhill from there, with him eventually being made leader after the previous one died, and I shit you not, in the time that he was leader (which was at least 2-3 years ingame iirc, if not more) I don't think he ever spent more than 2 consecutive moons _not_ grieving. Early on in his leadership he lost his mom, and close to the end of it he lost his mate. After that he just became more and more unstable, until he eventually fucked up so bad that he accidentally got one of his clanmates killed. After that, his medicine cat convinced him to step down as leader. I think he spent a total of 3 moons in the elders' den before dying himself to a falling tree.

(Even with things that matter less, like Tom cats and ‘she cats’ I just hate that that’s what it’s called 😂 I’ve seen people use mollie cat instead and in one cool random clan generator it calls enby cats Jack which I thought was so cool so I’ve also adopted that way of speaking too! But that’s just a personal preference.)

The Warrior Challenge :
All the base cats are warriors. Only outsiders get to be medicine cats and mediators. All the retired cats become elders.
The Medicine Cat Challenge :
All the base cats including leader and deputy are medicine cats. Only outsiders get to be warriors and mediators. All the retired cats become medicine cats.
The Mediator Challenge :
All the base cats including leader and deputy are mediators. Only outsiders get to be warriors and medicine cats. All the retired cats become mediators.
The Trap Neuter Return Challenge :
All the cats that get caught by twolegs have the "prevent kits" toggle. Same for the cats that disappear then show up wearing a collar or caught outside territory during the moon events.
The Opposite Challenge :
The warriors are forbidden to have kits. The medicine cats are allowed to have kits. Others like mediators and elders are still allowed to have kits.
The One On One Challenge :
Every mentor each have a single one apprentice.
The Four By Four Challenge :
The new clan starts with four warriors, four medicine cats and four mediators.
The True Love Challenge :
All the base cats are adults and couples. Never interfere with any new relationships unless the age gap is problematic.
The Polygamous Challenge :
Only the leader gets to have multiple mates. The cats are allowed to become mates or break up with the leader. Never interfere with any romances unless the insubordinates became a couple or had kits behind the leader's back. There are ways in dealing with it : Kill or exile the kits and the parents. Or just break up the couples and give them three chances not to do it again.
The Young Challenge :
All the base cats are apprentices and kits.
The Old Challenge :
All the base cats are elders and seniors.
The Voting Challenge :
The clan starts off with no leader and deputy. It's up to the cats to vote for the new leader.
The Outsider Challenge :
The lone adult cat creates a new clan by finding outsiders.
The Dark Forest Challenge :
All the base cats are connected to the dark forest. They're not evil, they just question and challenge star clan over their morality.
The Star Clan Challenge :
All evil cats go to star clan. All good cats go to the dark forest. If the apprentices and kits die, they all be sacrificed to the dark forest where good cats will look after them. Why you may ask? This particular clan sees the star clan for what it is - a flawed corrupt system. The clan plan to hijack the star clan and exposing the hypocrisy of it all. The clan did it to make a point, using "born evil" and "love too much" and "frecklewish" logic against the star clan. All the cats with good positive traits are punished. All the cats with evil negative traits are rewarded.
The Alphabet Challenge :
Name the clan born kits from A to Z.
The Rainbow Challenge :
Name the clan born kits after colours.
The Number Challenge :
Name clan born kits after numbers starting with Zerokit.

Aw thanks! learning how to draw cats opening their mouths was a hell of a learning curve; I knew i'd need open mouths for my "How Ashfur died" video so the day before I made it, I sat down w/a TON of references, both photos & other Warriors memes, and studied the HELL out of them. looking at skulls really helps show how the jaw hinges too. I really recommend trying the same!

Send two to three cats at a time for training instead of big groups. Their exp goes up quicker and if you want to gats to gain relationship faster send them on patrols alone. Smart and great hunters are good for hunting patrols. Great teachers are great for training patrols. And those that are good talkers and good fighters should go on border patrols. If they get into a fight having a fighter on the team is great. And they're less likely to leave other clans patrols they may come across in good graces if there is a charismatic or good talker on the patrol.
