Welcome to Ireland! I've spent a lot of time in Bulgaria too and totally fell in love with the place. Recognise most of that footage. Plovdiv really is an underrated beauty, and I say that as someone who isn't a city person either.
Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes Bulgaria is so lovely, isn't it? I'd love to visit again in spring. Totally agree on Plovidv, we stayed there for ages for that very reason!
Fantastic news! We bought our place in the West of Ireland in 2018, but living/working overseas since then, talk about a strange feeling! We will be going home soon...
It’s all about the sun as a Bulgarian living in uk for seven years I miss my sunny beautiful country every single day, it’s only this one month of the year when I come back home breathe the fresh Bulgarian air and feel alive again.
Congratulations! I was dreading it was something horrible going to happen so it was joyful that it was joyous news. I feel so lucky to get to see all these beautiful places in the world thanks to you tubers like yourself so thank you. I will enjoy seeing how you set up your farm too. I must watch some of your previous ones. That communist flat from the old days. I had to chuckle as it was so very similar to my UK council house 1960s/1970s childhood home,in fact it was posher!
Ah bless you and thank you! I feel very lucky to be in such beautiful places! And now to call one our home is a dream come true. Haha laughing at your council flat comparison, hehe. It was super homely and such an interesting insight into a different time and way of life.
How exciting, wishing you well in your new home. We have purchased a smallholding of a similar size in Mayo, but have not yet moved over. You look so happy :)
Ooh so excited for you!! When you looking to make the move? Even though we're here, most of our stuff is still in the UK so the move doesn't feel complete yet haha
I am from the town of vidin in north west bulgaria,it was a capital of the tzardom of vidin in the 1300s when bulgaria was split to three bigger states and numerous smaller principalities and duchies(this allowed the turks to conquer bulgaria) and we have the same triangle here sinagogue ,mosque (wich is unique for the world and has a hearth on the top of minaret not muslim symbols) and a church .....our sinagogue is one of the biggest in europe and was recently renovated, because it was falling appart,it was called the white swan of the danube(you can google vidin sinagogue)
Bulgaria is beautiful, I can imagine farming would be great there. And I guess the weather depends on what kind of weather you like though? I happen to like the rain! 😂
