    I was born to a SA dad and an Irish mum in Joburg. Lived there for 14 years and moved to Ireland and have been here for 32 years now. But I’ll never forget my mum driving me to school listening to radio 702 in the morning and her just being so happy to hear an Irish voice and a little piece of home. JR is an absolute legend. Can’t wait for this second test! Come on Ireland!

      Yeah he is a great guy, amazing gift of story telling, really easy to listen to. His son who I met lived in Ireland for a while, lovely fellow too. In 130 years of competition the High School in Rathgar has only won the Leinster schools senior cup once and that was with Robbie in the side. Current Ireland player Ryan Baird also went to the same school.

    John's so right about it being an emotional decision on who you support. i was born in England and moved to SA when i was 5. in 74 i supported the Lions....by the time they returned in 1980 i was a rabid Springbok fan....

    My kids, as adults, make their own decisions Leon. Do yours? Both are proud South Africans, both lawyers, and currently living in the UK. We would love them to return but the decision is theirs and theirs alone! They did not flee but made decisions that suited them at the time.

    this was excellent and serious thoughts and facts also mentioned, lovely humor ,Schalk and Shaun injuries proves that people have to stay positive and live their lives fully. and on issue of serious injuries Ireland must stop dirty old tricks on scrum time that can cause serious injures ,by pulling down and pushing up on props before scrum is fully set

    I don’t think there was a debate for number 1 .. not from ireland anyway . It’s all because a former Welsh player said it 😂 btw I think a lot of saffas think the in your head song was a direct insult to the boks at RWC .. it’s not it’s about innocent children being killed and Irelands struggle for peace. The singer is from limerick which is the beating Heart of Munster rugby and she tragically died quite young too . ‘Munster have been singing that song for a long time and ireland fans are notorious for singing at sports events

      @PB22559 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Will you stop with the virtue signalling about the song. No one cares. The saffers doing the Rassie thing instead of zombie was all in good jest.
      I'm pretty sure Dolores Riordan died from alcohol and prescription drug intoxication. I wouldn't consider that tragic.
      You need to go over to the womens rugby videos. You can act offended over there and you might get more sympathy from other virtue signallers.

      @Tellemore well she is wrong. It wasn't about Ireland's struggle for peace it was calling out IRA for murdering kids in UK in her name and it's only started a couple of years ago.

    Sorry John Robbie. It was not the referee who made that decision but the TMO. Nigel Owens dismissed the intervention by his own Welsh colleague. By being at the match. All i can tell you is I feel Irish after being in Ireland since 1960.

    I live in nz rugby union has gone down but league is going up not just Aussie but here as well , moneys better in the nrl and the comp is so much better than super rugby so it’s not anything to do with contact sports . And on a high school level and club rugby league is much better than union .
