We all know the apostles kept the holy days and the instructions written down by Moses well after Jesus ascended. So why is that? Well, Malachi 3 tells us about the 2nd coming of Messiah. It talks about purifying the sons of Levi. In verse 4 it reads "" And the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will please the Lord as in the days of old and years gone by." Verse 14 God says you have said: "" It is useless to serve God. What have we gained by keeping His requirements and walking mournfully before the Lord of hosts?"" Verse 16 At that time those who feared the Lord spoke to one another. The Lord heard and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared God and had high regard for His name. Here's the importance of His ways. Verse 17 "" They will be mine, a special possession on the day I am preparing. """ So I believe the instructions God gave Israel and the mixed multitudes with them, are not only important..... But they're very important to Him, as He states there in Malachi! So God gave us all free will, for those that want to join with Him, to be close, there is a book with your name in it. You just have to want it more than you want the world!
Gods plan is not dependent on our co operation, we can not thwart His work, He will ensure you co operate IF you are blessed to be chastened as His child. Derek talks like God isnt Sovereign over our whims. Oh please.
