Honorable chair, esteemed delegates, and distinguished guests The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light an urgent need to address the escalating mental health crisis, as individuals worldwide grapple with unprecedented stress, isolation, and uncertainty. Kenya has focused on the need for a comprehensive approach to address the mental health crisis during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes increasing awareness and access to mental health services, integrating mental health care into primary healthcare, and implementing community-based interventions. Kenya also emphasizes the importance of policy reforms and investment in mental health infrastructure and human resources to meet the growing demand for support. Addressing these challenges holistically can help mitigate the long-term impact of the pandemic on the population's mental well-being. Kenya wants the UN to support increased funding, capacity building, and policy reforms for comprehensive and accessible mental health care, especially in low- and middle-income countries, to address the mental health crisis during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. topic: Addressing the mental health crisis during and after the COVID-19 pandemic in a sentence. i will be a delegate for Kenya plz someone reply if it's good for opening speech or not

Hello. I have several questions regarding the opening speech. If I have two topics given, should I write about both of them in one opening speech? I wrote some statistic datas about the problem, should provide with my own country's datas or can I get the worldwide one?
Hi, You should have a different opening speech ready for each of the topics if there are two potential topics at a conference. You can select data from either your country or global data as part of your hook.
As a person who’s participating in muns for the first time EVER in my freshman year of college BEING the “secretary of mun club” at the same time, I’m pretty nervous for my first MUN that’s in october i guess and havent had any workshops in college yet with my team but this video brings me so much motivation and energy!! Need advices as a beginner!!! :))
When we're talking about action, do we say something that our country is actually in the process of doing or something we as delegates want the 'UN' to fund? Like is it something we make up or something that is actually happening?
I am from united nations security council and my topic is militralisation of indo pacific reigion and free maritime navigation ...my country is pakistan can anyone suggest something

Ik this is a little late, but for the future and all - u can also just express your country's views on the topic based on finlands alliances. like if finland and rusia have an alliance, u would take russia's side. also, a very important point in MUN is to speak well, and back up the facts by emotion to convince delegates. delegates with a similar stance will agree with you and may even help you out. those are the countries u want to form ur resolutions with. always start with a super controversial speech to get the chair to notice ubut be ready to expect a lot of questions form not only other delegates, but even the chair. be one of the first to raise ur placards, although dont always raise your placard.( againg the chair will notice you) and write a butt load of communiques(again the chair will notice you). HOPE YOU FOUND THIS HELPFUL :)
