The LA Clippers have been cursed their entire existence but this offseason could finally be different. They will enter next year with a healthy Paul George and Kawhi Leonard but there are key decisions to make. This is a look at what the Clips must do to finally break the curse and win a championship.

The Clippers got the deepest bench in the league alr, with more additions in the offseason and Kawhi and pg13 coming back. They coming back strong!

They just need PG13 and Kawhi to actually play all playoffs. The team is fine they just need them to play, but if they can't stay healthy they might be better off getting rid of them.

They just need PG13 and Leonard to be healthy 1 post season. They have a great team of role players that carried the team to the play ins. Their team with their 2 stars healthy is a contender.

PG is weak mentally. He missed 4 free throws that were game winning in 2 games.
G6 he shrank after a great G5. He also lost to Timberwolves shooting poorly. He only shot well once. That was when he returned from injury

Clippers dont need to do anything this offseason except maybe sign a backup big man. If they keep the roster from this season and can stay healthy they're legit contenders.
That's what I said. All they need is PG13 and Kawhi healthy and they are strong contenders.

Actually, you can apply it to the entire franchise as the Clippers have a history of their players always getting injured at inopportune times. Their medical staff is the only department that has not been upgraded when Steve Ballmer bought the team from Donald Sterling after the scandal. For their players to truly get healthy, they need to do something about their medical staff.
@@WammyGiveaway It's getting to the point where letting PG13 and Kawhi go in a trade or whatever might be best for them. Like you said they're always injured, having that much money wasted by players who don't play is hurting them.
@@stpbasss3773 I was not talking just about Leonard and George, I was referring to everybody. Baron Davis, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Sam Cassell, Bill Walton, Shaun Livingston, etc. Every person who played for the Clippers will always get injured, either by bad decisions or by being overworked. This is, as far as I know, the only franchise with the most gruesome of injuries, and I feel as if there is something wrong with the medical staff. They can sign, trade, or draft players with a clean injury history as much as they want, and they'll still get injured. Under the Sterling era, they disregarded injury because they were desperate to be loved, respected and worshiped, the wrong reasons for competition. Getting Ballmer for luxury tax coverage was good, Jerry West to repair franchise operations was great, and Leonard for maturity was best - the latter a reflection of the franchise's past dysfunction. They just need to figure out how to handle the medical staff, even if it means cutting ties with someone you are really close with. Only by fixing the medical staff can Clippers finally be healthy.

I can honestly see the Clippers making some moves , for the offseason like even make big time moves , but I don’t know if they would let go Zubac , I wouldn’t want him to go

@@coajdka w Kawhi + PG coming back, we just need him to make 6/7-10 shot attempts & most importantly defend the paint at a high level and I’m content. His post footwork has dramatically improved if you haven’t been paying attention this year.
Zubac sucks too much. Always gets out muscled and out rebounded in the playoffs. Just not god defensively and offensively, well, there's not much to say.

Nice to hear an american speaking soooo positive about Hartenstein! So he's the 2nd player out of Europe my prediction was kinda accurate. I've been sure Luka Doncic would be a star in the NBA and Hartenstein would be at least a rotation player after I watched a couple of german and slowenian european championship games years ago. 🙂

Remember, the Clips have a $9 mil trade exception from the Ibaka trade and an $8 mil trade exception for the Rondo trade. They also have Bird Rights on Batum and RoCo. I say we re-sign all our guys (Coffey is a FA too) and simply run it back, maybe using one of our trade exceptions on a PG like Ricky Rubio or Goran Dragic

Lol Isaiah Hartenstein the best back up Center in the League last year, come on Casey. Hassan Whiteside/Jazz, AL Horford/Celtics, Nic Claxton/Nets, Evan Mobley/Cavs, Bobby Portis/Bucks, JaVale McGee/Suns, Richaun Holmes/ Kings, Jaren Jackson Jr./Grizzles, Jason Hayes/Pelicans, that's 9 players better that backed up at the Center position this season PERIOD. Also this is the Clippers they always find a way to lose and I don't think Kawhi does not want to rejoin the Clippers. In my opinion they Blow it up my friend.

How about trade Kawhi and Morris for Lonzo and Zach? You fix the PG position permanently. Kawhi is better than PG13 but is never fit. Kawhi is one of my favorite players but this would be an interesting move.
Spurs fan here. Can't wait for you to do them. 3 Firsts this year... plus potentially tons of cap space. Are Spurs poised to make a splash in Draft AND Free Agency and get back to Playoffs next year (or year after) ????

The CRAZIEST thing that can happen for the Clippers this offseason is if the Lakers somehow manage to trade Russ he gets bought out, and goes to the Clippers. Now for the longest time I have been really against it, but I've talked myself into liking the idea. Russ and PG were great together in OKC and one of Russes most efficient seasons came in Houston with the small ball which Ty lue Loves to do. Him going out there and running the offense next to Kawhi PG and potentially Marcus Morris, is a hell of nlan upgrade over what he had with the other LA team this season

Sigh I would be mad too if I were Ballmer. They shat the bed copiously at the playin, especially against Minnesota. And PG is the most inconsistent superstar in the league. He had a career FG% worse than Westbrick ffs. I just don’t think you get back anything better for him, we wouldn’t get Davis or Mitchell imo. He wants to be here, plays excellent D, rebounds, assists etc. Just don’t rely on him in a do or die game 🤦♀️

Turner gets blocks being a hustle guy. But he can't bang, get you boards and is weak down low. Plus Pacers could get a young guy, or better pick from a worse team.

Balmar is the owner and not the general manager he is not going to interfere in the basketball decisions and he is not going to blow up the team that only came up short because of weird injuries that are not going to happen next year. what I am surprised that is that there is no limit as to the luxury tax that he is allowed to pay.

Get rid of reggie miller, and Marcus Morris, and maybe one of our centers. Get a solid center that can shoot, rebound, block, and get a very solid point guard that is extremely efficient at distributing the ball. We can probably get rid of luke as well.
Clippers are cursed- one of the highest payrolls in the league, elite all star players, one of the best coach in the league, super rich owner and still miss the 2022 playoffs.

I think they resign all the guy and trade Morris for Collin Sexton ... and try and sign Drummond ... maybe let Zubac walk and keep Hartstein as the back up center... Clippers always buy their way in onto the draft .... but Clippers are looking for a point guard and a paint beast
Clippers also need to move on from zubac. He had a good season number wise but everytime we need him to step it up he just looks lost out there and dosent seem to know whats going on . If we are gunna spend money on a center might as well go for someone else zubac already had enough time to prove himself

These ideas are interesting for sure, but imo the rest of the league is getting a lot younger and faster and I'm not so sure if clips really should go for a guy like Myles Turner. If Ballmer wanted to win next year he has to go all in on talent. I do like the potential of maybe going for someone like Donovan Mitchell. I also think that Dame could be a target cus Dame's time table doesn't match the young guys. Imo as great as batum and Morris are I feel like Ballmer should let em walk or trade em for younger wings or a big name guard

I think they will do a hybrid between #1 and #2 if players suddenly become available. They don't have actually a lot of pressure. Kawhi back with their actual team and the jump of some players like Mann will be scary against anyone next year...
Ballmer is a fan first and an owner second. He'll want to keep the guys he likes, I see the first option being the most realistic. I can also see the third option being a possibility. If Hartenstein leaves that'll be rough because there really aren't any other centers like him. I'd package Morris Sr, Hood and Scrub for a "real" point guard that they're always talking about, with Reggie off the bench.

They need a point guard as they had needed for three seasons now. They're deep in every position but that. A serious lack of playmaking and leadership. If PG and Kawhi can handle the playmaking, they can play big ball, but it's not the case. I like their odds on maybe pursuing Lowry, if he isn't washed yet.

If they trade George and/or Leonard without them asking to be traded it would really damage what other players think about that team and that front office for the future. Plus it would be another Superstar teamups that falls flat and doesn't even make a single finals run.
