I imagine we will be getting a next generation of VR with higher resolution and possibly wireless soonish (if there is still enough audience). If that's the case, I would hold off until then. That way you can either get the nicer newer headset, or buy the older ones for cheaper.

Jake Bustillos makes me want to get it just so I can make some not-shit maps for good songs. Some maps seem like the creator never even bothered to play test them once

Best advice for how to get some of those long areas down that you are getting the misses? Listen to the music itself. If you are going up and down with the beat of the music, instead of trying to catch it visually, you will find more hits. This is a music game after all and wildly moving the sabers up and down can actually be TOO fast even if it seems like an area that you need speed over everything else.
Is it bad Im considering dipping into my overdraft to get VR. With Beat Saber, Sprint Vector, VRChat & and Im sure some other stuff Im forgetting as well as being able to dev for it, there's a lot of worth in it
The custom songs are great but some have some glaring problems with them. Some i've noticed have blocks at head height with completely different direction blocks behind them so you have no way of guessing which direction (the customs don't always use the alternating rule). I also wish customs would stop having two arrows pointing at each other because you just end up smashing your controllers together. Can't wait for the official song editor though!

if a GTX1080 (non TI which by the 8GB looks like it) and an i7 8700k literally cost you 3000$ you got ripped off hard. because i have those exact parts, 16GB ram, a big tower case and big tower motherboard for ~1300$
i just now realized i can ues this game to practice my sword just need to attach my training swords to my controllers so their the same whate as my normal swords and the senter of gravity is the same
