I love that you say IF you have instead of 'this is a must'. The options are there for IF you want them or have a specific concern, not an absolute 'follow these rules or you fail' list! It's so good to see you letting people know that they can absolutely look and feel great with less and showing us all how to do that.
THANK YOU I love makeup but HATE foundation, I never even own concealer or foundation because I don't care enough but sometimes for events I want that extra glam look, so yes I use concealer like this(I rarely have events like this so I'll buy one or use my friends)
For this you definitely need the exact shade matched concealer also according to your skin type and undertone,so that it hide’s blemishes but blends seamlessly. Also set full face with a matching shade compact or pressed powder so it sets properly and full face gets some coverage and makes the skin even toned, still it will be hard for someone with a lot of pigmentation and blemishes like pimple amd pimple spot ,dark sport, black under eye, they are needed to color correct first then gets even toned with matching foundation.Almost all brown girlies have some pigmentation.A lot of people use a lighter shade concealer to highlight and brighten certain areas of the face, lighter shade won’t work.
For me I have dark circles like bruises and lots of acne spots, so I typically use a concealer that matches my skin tone pretty closely but is slightly orange to correct my dark circles and pigmentation around the mouth. Then whatever left on my concealer brush I sheer it out and dot it on my blemishes not to perfectly spot conceal them, but so they’re less noticeable and I’m good to go (tho a skin tint is nice sometimes to even out the skin, especially if the concealer isn’t a perfect match or oxidizes)
I just love your content. Making makeup assessable and easy for those of us who never really got into it much but still like to slay occasionally. Really thank you ❤
I was a part of the 2016 makeup craze and working at ulta, stopped wearing because of acne, and just started using mineral foundation now at 26 and it was AMAZING!!!
Thank you!!! This!!! I have oily and acne prone skin and I get soooo itchy with foundation on. This is a great tutorial for us girl who don’t like a lot of makeup.❤
I really recommend the NYX marshmallow primer. It works great for me and my friends when I do their makeup. I adore it as it helps even skin tones without even touching a concealer!
The way you so simply and elegantly explain and describe everything you do and why you do it is actually so shockingly refreshing. Thank you so much for this content.
This is almost exactly the makeup look I do, I love it so much. I only wear foundation maybe two or three times a year only for special occasions, and only then cuz it’s not all day. I hate the texture and I want to get the itches on my face freely without worrying about my base rubbing off. Plus I like leaving 80% of my skin bare too I feel like it can breathe better.
I have oily skin as well and during the summer I mainly use pressed powder for my face to reduce shine and concealer under my eyes. There's also powder foundation options if you want some coverage. Liquid foundation can feel really goopy!
the thing is you could also just find a foundation that fits your skin tone and is lightweight, eg i like the artdeco foundation but i think it‘s only available in germany. tinted moisturizer or cc cream is also an option
Powder foundation works well for me! I use it as powder to set my concealer as well and it makes sure my undereyes aren't brighter than my face because I personally hate that
Up until this point, i just boiled it down to primer and concealer. But recently, i added a tinted sunscreen as a base as well as a transculent loose powder to my base routine. And it is working really well so far :)
I legitimately just moisturize and then do mascara, lip gloss/lip stick, eye shadow, and eyeliner 🤷🏻♀️ Tbf I’ve never cared about dark circles/spots so I don’t even care about doing color correction etc. I do agree that this is a better option though. Foundation feels very gross. I know some people can tolerate the feeling but I am someone with wayyy too many sensory sensitivities and foundation is just something I couldn’t handle.
If you want to use foundation or some sort of base but don't like the way it feels, it's worth it to get some testers and experiment with different combinations of primers, foundations, tinted creams etc. The same foundation feels and looks different on a heavy duty smoothing primer and on a high SPF oil based product, BB creams and pigmented skincare products feel different than powders or mousses (And if you don't want to wear foundation at all it's fine not to)
Honestly, took me forever to under this but makeup is yours to do what you want with it. There are days when I won’t wear foundation. I’ll use Vaseline as a primer (IMO, works like the Milk primer but more hydrating) then I’ll use concealer and my contour stick as my foundation. If I feel like it (which most of the time I do since I like the results), I’ll set it with powder and setting spray.
Wow!! Tysm, but can you please do a full makeup routine no foundation or eyeshadow for under 50$ and no using elf??? We do not have Elf in my country and its super hard to find good products because most budget makdup routines i see on the internet have Elf and i cant get that :(
(Sorry that this comment is so long 😅) Also, I want to add to this; If you have a concealer shade that's for brightening your undereyes and that's the only shade you have, I would recommend also getting one that's the same color as your skin tone! That way, if your other concealer shade is too light/bright, you won't have some areas of your face be lighter than the rest (from spot-concealing, etc.), because you used one that is the correct overall color instead :)' And by using the concealer that matches you, you won't need to use as much product but you still get good coverage for the areas you want to cover/conceal and without the color looking off, which means you most likely won't need to use any foundation to get coverage for those spots (I hope this made sense! 😅)
I use the Maybelline Skin tint! It feels really lightweight. Feels like applying a really lightweight moisturizer or sunscreen. I have stopped using foundation because i hated the feeling of it + I think personally it doesn't look good on my face.
Should the shade of concealer match your skin tone if you’re using it without foundation like this? I’ve always been told your concealer should be lighter than your foundation/skin tone so it balances out your dark circles/spots. Love your videos btw!! ❤️
Thank you this is perfect the other day I bought two shades of foundation but they were both too light my black and white but this is perfect for me bc I have a strict dad but my mom let me buy it and I'm wanting to do some thing different for high school next year.and your beautiful
One thing that also changed my makeup game is the hero cosmetics green color correcting rescue balm. It counteracts redness and when I wear it I usually don’t even need any makeup on my face or just a touch of concealer. I got mine at target for like 12 bucks. Works so good!💯✅
I agree. I’m 38 and I don’t really wear foundation anymore. Just concealer and powder, just how you do it.
Same. My skincare takes longer than my makeup nowadays.
Me too! Also that fenty concealer is too underrated I love it and I think it works so well
I love that you say IF you have instead of 'this is a must'. The options are there for IF you want them or have a specific concern, not an absolute 'follow these rules or you fail' list! Tinted moisturizers are great too! Provides light coverage and hydrates as well! Its all I use!
or tinted sunscreen
@@engenemoastaybrizzezeroes yeah, the one I use is a moisturizer with SPF added! I love it!

You can buy light weight concealer 😅
That concealer is the perfect shade for you. ❤

I love how you include information for beginners. I've been wearing makeup for years technically, but that doesn't mean I know how to do it right!
Wow! I love this! So easy and lovely. Thank you.

That's how i always do my makeup!!!! Trust me it look soo good! You don't need foundation.
This is like a perfect makeup routine for my middle school sister!
Thank u for this!! So useful 🫶✨️
I use powder foundation and it feels amazing, so light and not cakey. Could you do a video on powder foundations?
Thank you so much for the advice you give! You are probably one of my favorite makeup creators out there! 😊

Oh my gosh me too. I hate using foundation
Thank you!! It's super useful because I can't never find foundation that suits me. But a concealer I have xD
what kind of highlighter do you use 😍😍 I love it !

Literally my makeup routine
which concealer is this pls.😊
This is my everyday makeup look! Easy low maintenance and fun!
This is the way! I'm 22 and love makeup but don't own any foundation.
I needed this❤
This is basically what I do for my make up routine!
That’s rlly cool. But how long did it last without foundation
I legitimately just moisturize and then do mascara, lip gloss/lip stick, eye shadow, and eyeliner 🤷🏻♀️ Tbf I’ve never cared about dark circles/spots so I don’t even care about doing color correction etc. I do agree that this is a better option though. I love this for the natural make up look girlies
Another alternative to foundation is a tinted BB cream or a tinted SPF/hydrator
If you want to use foundation or some sort of base but don't like the way it feels, it's worth it to get some testers and experiment with different combinations of primers, foundations, tinted creams etc. The same foundation feels and looks different on a heavy duty smoothing primer and on a high SPF oil based product, BB creams and pigmented skincare products feel different than powders or mousses (And if you don't want to wear foundation at all it's fine not to)

If I feel like it (which most of the time I do since I like the results), I’ll set it with powder and setting spray.
Why don't you try cushion? It's like a game changer. It gives a lightweight coverage and yet still be able to flatten your skin tone.
I only use tinted sunscreen. Add blush and lip tint.
Wow!! Tysm, but can you please do a full makeup routine no foundation or eyeshadow for under 50$ and no using elf??? We do not have Elf in my country and its super hard to find good products because most budget makdup routines i see on the internet have Elf and i cant get that :(
Beautiful❤
Thanks!❤
Thank you for the tips, but i wanna ask, if I don't have concealer, but I have bb cream, is the function of them same or not? Thanks
Don’t like the feeling of foundation on the face? Get a Korean bb cream and thank me later 😊 Amazing coverage and super lightweight feeling!
(Sorry that this comment is so long 😅)
Also, I want to add to this; If you have a concealer shade that's for brightening your undereyes and that's the only shade you have, I would recommend also getting one that's the same color as your skin tone! (I hope this made sense! 😅)
I use the Maybelline Skin tint! It feels really lightweight. Feels like applying a really lightweight moisturizer or sunscreen. I have stopped using foundation because i hated the feeling of it + I think personally it doesn't look good on my face.
Can we get the clean girl tutorial!!
Could you make one without wearing anything on skin, just eyes and lips.
It is just that I still can not wear on skin because of acne. 😢
Thank you.❤❤❤
Should the shade of concealer match your skin tone if you’re using it without foundation like this? I’ve always been told your concealer should be lighter than your foundation/skin tone so it balances out your dark circles/spots. Love your videos btw!! ❤️
