Grief is the price of love. We lost our beautiful 11 year old bulldog, Fuji, last week and while the price is 100% worth it, boy it is so high. Sending love to Galey and wishing safe travels to Charlye. She was lucky to have you as a dog mom.

I still mourn her and it’s only been 2 months. I still do things that were our routine bc I still want to be her mom just like you still want to be Charley’s mom with her medication. I know exactly how you feel and what you’re going through. I didn’t have any friends I could call when I lost my baby girl but I’m glad Kendal was there for you. I'm so sorry Galey, sending so much love. I lost my soul dog like Charlye was to you earlier this year pretty unexpectedly and the pain is so hard to explain. Dogs are so much more than just our pets they are part of the family, we viewed our dog as a kid (my husband and I got him 8 years ago as 20 year old college students). My aunt sent me something that helped me so much in my grief and I wanted to share it with you...The Hawaiian word "kahu" is used to refer to someone who has a pet, rather than the term "pet owner", this word has a deep spiritual meaning, as it implies that the person and their pet are connected on a spiritual level. "Kahu" can be translated as "guardian" or "protector." We were so lucky to experience life with a soul dog and we’re forever changed because of it ❤️ remember it is ok to feel everything as it comes, my heart is hurting right along with you.

I had to say goodbye to all 3 of my dogs in the last 3 months. The pain is unbearable. No one will ever understand what they did for me because I truly would not have gotten through moments in my life without them. I hope to have given them a fraction of what they did for me. Honor your grief to honor your love for them. It is a gift to feel so much pain because it means there was so much love. Thank you for sharing because you are not alone
