The first Metallica song I heard back in 1990!!! Jasons a fkn beast here!!!
If he never blew his voice, I bet he would sound amazing nowadays. Can't wait to see them in July!
The thing is that he sounds pretty good nowadays. Much better than he did between 1996-2010 :)
Ofc nothing beats the way he sounded between 86-93 but u have to enjoy the little things :)
Yeah I miss the young James screech...
He blew it out before the black album that's why he's sounds different then on and justice plus alot of touring doesn't help he still had a lot of rasp mixed with singing after and justice
He's studied vocal technique since and has grown from a brilliantly talented teenage screamer into an adult male vocalist whose vocal cords can survive the brutal gig of fronting Metallica! His longevity is a thing of beauty.
So tight and clean. You can tell this is a band that’s played something like 400 shows in the previous two years.
Jason is an animal!!! Such a bad ass bassist!!!
The four Horsemen in their playing prime I can’t believe this is 30 years ago. Once you realize that everything else just is what it is. Nobody has done or ever will do what Metallica has done. There is no concert to this day I would rather be in the crowd at.
kirk saying back to the front is amazing
The bass is pretty badass in this. Like it.
1:30 James is feelin a bit groovy
Yeah, Kirk came in a little late with the chords it looks and sounds like was trying to get them all in sync
THESE were the DAMN GOOD days man......RIGHT HERE..........
I miss Jason, he loved Metallica, we loved Metallica!
Jason`s vocals are always covered up in their official live releases....TH-cam and bootlegs have made him legendary
Not in the live shit binge and purge albums
Great Jason!!!!👍💪💪💪💪
There is enough metal here to rebuild the Twin Towers.
There is so much negativity in the comments typically, this was a nice refreshing laugh
And enough energy to bring 'em down a second time.
Yeah and strong enough so that jet fuel can't melt them
I think Metallica should have used the combination of James/Jason's vocals on the albums, they fit great on live versions.
He did some great backing vocals on the black album!
They used that a lot during Black Album, Load/Reload era and covers from Garage Inc.
If I see this band and Black Sabbath's original lineup before I die, I will die happy.
Saw original Sabbath in Roskilde 1998. EPIC
at a time when the sound of bass and the voice of the great Jason could still be heard.
John Cena - Bass
Tarzan - drums
Lion - vocals/guitar
The waahh - lead guitar
beluga - lead guitar
😂
Man, I loved Jason's backing vocals. intense. Glad I got to see them a shit ton live between 1989 and 1996. Powerhouse live. On Top of the World.
Fucking love Jason and this song
