At 25 secs can just see the space where a medieval schoolhouse stood until 1971. The owner, who owned Harris next door (now Blunts) burned it down so he could use for car parking, and the insurance. Being listed he could not do anything with it. His name was Nathan Harris, I worked there.
I love it here. A stroll along Gallowtree Gate can sound like a walk through the foyer of the UN HQ. I doubt there are many UK towns of a similar size with such an international citizenship. 👍🏼

I hate when councils repair nice pavements with tarmac. If you don't want to care about looking after it when you do work then don't waste the public money on expensive slabs/stones in the first place.
Thank you for putting this up. I couldn't see too much evidence of social distancing going on amongst some of the local population. At 13:35 I was surprised and disappointed to see that Pho appears to have ceased trading (I've not been to the city centre since early-March); one less great place to eat, sadly.

Sue , like anywhere it has its down sides, but is actually a great place to live and this is definitely during lockdown
It's during Lockdown because our council office on the left is always closed at daytime due to lock down
