Yes, Shauna. I only got into singing as something to do in-between guitar solos. I never dreamed I could get very good at singing at all. But as I kept pursuing both guitar AND vocals, I just couldn't stop every time I hit a brick wall. I kept on going to more and more instructors and gurus. They all contradicted one another, and none were on the same page about much of anything. From many of them I learned absolutely nothing except that none of their methods really worked at all when put to the test onstage or in the studio. After many years of tough trial and error, I began sifting out what actually DID work. You see some of that coming into play in this video as it was beginning to really come together.
Great work here! Was always a big fan of Jeff Watson from NR so great to see him here. Been following you since the Shout days and saw you guys at CStone fest in ‘89. There’s actually a video of the show on TH-cam so it was a cool memory to watch and hear. Can you do something on Steve Walsh from Kansas? Point of No Return? Great vocals on that one. Blessings Ken!
