- When Amelia has been away all day at nursery the dogs go crazy to see her when she returns! Unfortunately she's going through that phase pretending she's too cool for them at the moment! They follow her around like her big shadows anyway! She still can't get enough of little Milo though...

Mia is a cat person. Her mom Emma said from one of their video that of all the pets Milo is the favorite and closest to Mia.

Awww Mia’s pack just love her so much they just have go tell her how much they missed her. I think Mia and Milo will always have a special bond. Which is funny since when Mia was born Milo was, “what is this creature?” *sniffs baby mia* I’m done.

I think my daughter sensed that I actually liked/loved/cared about/enjoyed, the puppy we found (and ended up adopting!) as much, if not more than I loved her!
(I adored her. BUT! I think I’ve always preferred dogs to humans! 😐)
(I had been a single parent the first three years of her life. So she was used to being the only being - with the exception of a somewhat ornery and anti-social cat - with me.)
Now, decades later, she has three children of her own, two of whom are big animal fans, one, not.
She now is part of an extended family that is super animal focused. But she’s still not very openly enthusiastic. And I suspect she simply has found herself, yet again, being close to people who adore animals while she simply does not! 🥰
I think children owe their parents’ pets respect, dignity, kindness, gentleness.
But I don’t think they’re obligated to love them or love them as much as their parents do.
And being forced to act as if she is excited about the dogs and cat when she’s not, does not help this little girl to feel and behave as her mother seems to want her to.
She seems to me to be gently (fearfully?) trying to establish her human right to be her own person, have her own preferences!
And they may not include beautiful loveable dogs that the parents are eager to use for TH-cam videos!!
I agree with you completely! Sometimes I also notice that Mia shows her attention to the dogs only at the request of her parents, and especially when she is asked to give a kiss. Mia loves dogs in her own way. Maybe when she gets elder she will love dogs as much as Emma and Shane do. But not right now because she's too young for today. But these three fluffy doggies and Milo are true Mia's friends!!!

It’s the Start of the “Terrible Twos” for Mia. After spending the day with Humans she is not that interested in the Animals. I can see her enjoying her Stuff and Human friends more as she get older.

The dogs missed you mama. They always miss the one who feeds and takes care of them. My dog makes the same howling crying noise when I come home. It’s like he’s saying I thought you were never coming home. And when I get into the gate with my family my dog runs to me first. Like it did here.

This was so wonderful to watch .it's ABSOLUTELY ARCTIC in nyc this weekend and the frigid weather triggered a minor flareup of some of my MS symptoms. I was in a miserable mood today but when i saw that my favorite English TH-cam family had posted a new video i knew that some time spent with a happy toddler, three malamutes and an aloof longhaired feline would uplift me. You hit the nail on the head Patsy.
I headed off to work this morning full of vim and vigor and then my symptoms exploded on the subway. So I got off the train. took a big fat capsule and waited on the platform for it to kick in. Usually this strategy works great quickly but today for some unknown reason Zero, nada, gornist , and zippo. Thank God I made it home safely . after a few more hours of suffering I picked up one of my guitars and just noodled around for a bit. Music has always been like an oasis for me even before I was diagnosed with MS .So those 30 minutes of noodling around on my guitar had a palliative effect on my sensory symptoms. Moreover a younger colleague of mine wanted to pick my attorney brain about a legal question that had stumped her.
I'm 61 and I've been a lawyer for 34.5 years so i guess I am an eminence gris in my
field. My conversation with my colleague confirmed that I am cognitively intact notwithstanding this crappy day.
For the record the song that I ve working on is Angel from Montgomery-written by the late John Prine and sung beautifully by Bonnie Raitt. Thank you Patsy for being an angel for me today👼🎼🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🎸🎙❤😎
