I think a wardrobe edit is the perfect name and definition for it ! I much prefer it to a capsule wardrobe (which is too limiting for me) and it’s so much better than mindless, constant, consumerism.
penniless optimist - Exactly, it allows you to be mindful about your fashion purchases w/o being too limited. You can upgrade your clothes from depop, vintage shops, markets, and charity shops if you want to stay away from fast fashion.
I’m back from my first year in college in America and I’ve started trying to find personal style and I’ve learned that I really love winter and fall clothes and have a good idea of what I like, but I have such a problem with summer. I love in Colorado which has a pretty varied but hot summer. This video is what I need for inspiration to actually get a summer wardrobe
agreed! i love lucy and we tend to share the same style aesthetics, but i'm really trying to be more sustainable in my purchases and would love for her to explore different environmentally conscious brands. i loved almost every piece in this video but i won't be buying anything from urban, topshop or arket :/
I feel this so hard. I have been living in hand-me-downs for so much of my life that I haven't been able to dredge up an individual style for such a long time. Only just now making informed choices about what to keep and what to pass on. Trying to put away the mindset of scarcity. I pull out the clothes I have and I feel obliged to keep stuff that I would love someone else or that gives good memories of people who gave them to me. Letting that go and finding out what I truly love and what suits my style is a journey I'm still very much on. I love that you don't hide these experiences.
Wow it's so funny, Lucy wears SUCH a different style of clothes than I do, but I still adore these videos and somehow feel inspired to stretch my own style a little bit whenever I watch these vids.
Just before you said you had an issue with your arms, I was genuinely thinking how amazing your arms looked in the white off the shoulder top! I’ve always struggled with them too and am trying to wear things that don’t cover them up-Love the wardrobe ❤️
Im really loving warm golden buttery yellow this year! I tend to lean towards darker colours, deep blue and green and burgandy, but this year I'm enjoying a little bit of yellow. And PINK! I have jumped on the blush pink train XD
Started showing my arms a few years ago to get over the insecurity and now i don’t even think about it. Hope you feel more comfortable everything looks great!
I love your style! I’m all color everything with my own style, so your monochromatic wardrobe is a breath of fresh air! Taking lots of inspiration from it
I love that kind of videos. I don't really like capsule wardrobe as I find them too restrictive, but I definitely prefer a more curated wardrobe, filled with pieces that I absolutely love. I would love to see a video of when you went through the depths of your storage, to see a little more of your thoughts process while you were creating your summer wardrobe.
Love this! I was inspired by your videos to start my own capsule wardrobe for spring and summer and it’s neat because my color palette is white, ivory, beige, camel, and rust too!
this is my fav video of yours in a while in terms of lighting! love this new room, that and your outfit create a wonderful summery feel (also pls do the other wardrobe video 😍)
She doesn't have an interest, honestly, otherwise she'd not buy from Urban and Topshop. Watch Kristen Leo for a lot better content on sustainability.. download the app GoodOnYou to check whether brands are on the right track sustainability wise, use Depop/United Wardrobe for second hand clothes and/or search for thrift shops in your neighbourhood :)
Live your aesthetic. I'm desperately trying to make my wardrobe more neutral in tones but I have no sense of style in that sense. I used to just go OOOO BRIGHT COLOURS and now I'm stuck with lovely clothes I'm not always comfortable wearing
I need those shorts you are wearing! The frilly top band is so cute. I usually can't pull off that style of shorts, but we have similar body types so maybe these would work????
i am FEELING the short struggle right now. i'm trying to lean back into my femininity this summer (mostly for fuckin comfort cos men's shorts are HEAVY and LONG and i work outside which is a sweaty experience) and i have this picture in my mind of like. slightly high waisted jean shorts that sit like mid-thigh so i can wear them to work but i cannot find any to save my FREAKING life. it's ridic. tbf i've mostly checked my usual haunts (i.e. h&m and forever 21 lol) and i should probably try a few slightly higher end stores like a levi's or frank and oak but GOOD LORD you'd think black jean shorts would be easier to find but apparently not. also u made me miss my cream converse they're not practical for me at all bc i get everything i own dirty at work but geez i did love the ones i had when i was at university.
yayyyyy been waiting for this ^_^ (also, I have to do math through the summer so I always watch your videos when I finish for the day as a reward, lol)
i was really confused about why 33 degrees would hot and signal the start of summer, but then i realized we use different units to measure temperature in our countries
Where's your wardrobe from? I'd love to see a wardrobe tour or how you organize your clothes! Do you hang all of them? Also, somehow it never occurs to me that I could get some of my clothes altered. I have some pieces that I really like but that don't perfectly fit, so I might get some of those tailored (if it's not too expensive), thanks for the idea!
Thanks for some lovely Summer fashion inspiration! Btw - is that a drawer built into your bed? Or is that a box you keep under there? If so, where did you get the box? I could do with some nice under-bed storage like that
I dream about having an easy, “matching” wardrobe but I struggle so much because I gravitate towards colour. 😐 I also feel like I would have to get rid of so many pieces if I were to pick a palette and edit my closet after it. Everything is so messy and uncoordinated. Patterns and colours all over. It’s so hard! Where do you even begin?
Rikke honestly I’d look up examples of people wearing colour/pattern clashing clothes! If you love colour wear it! Not everyone can love beige like Lucy 😂
Ok those pair of black tight shorts look amazing on you !!! (i believe american's would say they make you look thicc ???? in like the nicest way possible if that makes sense ?)
Is it too cold to wear t shirts right now where I am? (nz) Yes. Will I still buy the new Moon tee with a beautiful booty? Also yes, probably. Gorgeous vid as always xxx
totally off topic (though the video was lovely; i adored the energy you spoke with! summer seems to do you well :) ) but when you talked about how much you love shorts (8:04-8:14) you looked so much like captain amelia from disney's treasure planet??? :'D
wait does the 30 day rule mean you need to wear an item for at least 30 times before getting rid of it? to me that seems like a very few wears, or did i understand this wrong? 30 times would be the same as wearing an item everyday for one month... and then throw it away? thats... not very eco-friendly? do people really use their clothes so few times that even 30 times seems a like a lot to them? pls tell me if i got this wrong and she meant something else!
I think that's kind of the point? People who are really into fast fashion (and I know I have done this) will buy a piece of clothing intending to wear it for that one event or because it's flashy and new without really thinking about its life after or how it can fit into their wardrobe. So maybe 30 times is a low bar but I think if you're in that mindset or that spending habit it might just be enough to deter someone from impulse buying
PandoraRoman okay, thanks! it does make more sense to me now, thanks for explaining :)

Yeah the idea (can't remember where it originates) is that 30 wears is the absolute low bar - that you should ask yourself before you buy if you will definitely get 30 wears out of it. Unfortunately, there are many, many people who will wear an item MUCH less than this. Hard me to understand, too!
Yeah I think the first time I heard about it was through Emma Watson, who was vowing to wear all of her red carpet pieces at least 30 times and so chose looks that were relatively versatile. I remember thinking that it seemed like a lot for some of those really specialty pieces that she was wearing for promotion but in a normal person's life you should be able to wear your clothes far more than just 30 times
PandoraRoman oh okay, well, for red carpet pieces it definetly does sound more reasonable! with normal clothing the rule should be counted in years, not times of wearing an item, imo 😅
I've noticed that some of your high waist trausers are loose on you on the waist area. I have the exact same problem with that kind of trousers, because I've got wide hips and a small waist. How do you solve it??
No one *needs* spanx! Really love you, your style and this video but that comment really got to me. Totally, totally fair if you want to wear them and I absolutely support that but saying you need them does suggest some bodies shapes aren't okay in certain outfits. I know it's a small thing and a case of semantics, and that you are supportive of different body shapes but language matters and that comment just didn't seem to align with your views!
Please do make that long video going through the depths of your wardrobe!!
YESSSS
yessss do it!!
Would love to the see the video of your storage wardrobe, totally learning a lot from your experiences in creating a wardrobe that works for you
I think a wardrobe edit is the perfect name and definition for it !
I much prefer it to a capsule wardrobe (which is too limiting for me) and it’s so much better than mindless, constant, consumerism.
Absolutely agree! It allows you to try out and find your style while still trying to be sustainable and mindful
penniless optimist - Exactly, it allows you to be mindful about your fashion purchases w/o being too limited.

loved how relaxed this was, such a nice way to wind down in the evening xx
Lucy, sitting in front of a nearly entirely beige background, listing beige synonyms "I was trying to avoid the word beige"
goddess energy is definitely a phrase and you are totally harnessing it!
Oh my goodness off-the-shoulder tops (and dresses too I suppose) suit you so nicely! Gorgeous!
Can I just ask about how the brands you buy fit in with sustainability? Urban Outfitters, Topshop and Arket are notorious fast fashion brands
agreed! i love lucy and we tend to share the same style aesthetics, but i'm really trying to be more sustainable in my purchases and would love for her to explore different environmentally conscious brands. i loved almost every piece in this video but i won't be buying anything from urban, topshop or arket :/
Ella B i recommend the app 'good on you,' it rates fashion brands out of 5 on different areas :)

You put it so beautifully! Clothing is so much more than how it fits or what it looks like x
Wow it's so funny, Lucy wears SUCH a different style of clothes than I do, but I still adore these videos and somehow feel inspired to stretch my own style a little bit whenever I watch these vids.
I’m so impressed with your content at the moment!! You’ve done so well creating a strong aesthetic and I am so consistently inspired by you✨💛
Omg I have the exact same Veja's. I've worn them close to a hundred times now, and invested in a black pair as well. Absolutely love them!
Just before you said you had an issue with your arms, I was genuinely thinking how amazing your arms looked in the white off the shoulder top! I’ve always struggled with them too and am trying to wear things that don’t cover them up-Love the wardrobe ❤️
Please do the wardrobe deep dive! I love your fashion videos. ❤️
This was really well filmed and edited! I think this has been your best fashion/ wardrobe style video yet!
Thank you!
I love your style! I’m all color everything with my own style, so your monochromatic wardrobe is a breath of fresh air! Taking lots of inspiration from it

Would love to see a styling video with your new and old pieces! I love buying summer stuff but don’t know how to make outfits with it 🤦🏼♀️
Living in Italy, with 40° C every summer, your wardrobe would be more suited for spring hahaha. Anyway I love it
Omg I was a pasty Brit in Rome when it was 40C and I was like I am not ready for this wtf
Love this! I was inspired by your videos to start my own capsule wardrobe for spring and summer and it’s neat because my color palette is white, ivory, beige, camel, and rust too!
Yes to the deep dive! Love your aesthetic, will definitely be checking out those shorts
Love that you incorporate the color scheme in the beginning!
this is my fav video of yours in a while in terms of lighting! love this new room, that and your outfit create a wonderful summery feel (also pls do the other wardrobe video 😍)
YES!! i want the darkest depths of lucy's wardrobe!! Would love to have that on when I go through my own hehe..... she's long overdue
We have the exact same body proportion it's so nice to see someone online with the same! I never have tried talioring jeans etc must try it!
in love with your entire wardrobe, especially those huaraches from uo
We dress very differently, but you are the only channel that actually has big-bum/big thighs representation and I LOVE YOU for it

Love your energy and the positive vibes ❤️❤️
I want to see you go through the dark depths of your wardrobe!!
Please do that wardrobe editing video, Id love to watch it 😍
With your interest in sustainability, how do you decide which clothing brands to shop at / work with?
She doesn't have an interest, honestly, otherwise she'd not buy from Urban and Topshop. Watch Kristen Leo for a lot better content on sustainability.. download the app GoodOnYou to check whether brands are on the right track sustainability wise, use Depop/United Wardrobe for second hand clothes and/or search for thrift shops in your neighbourhood :)
she is more sustainable by buying less clothing even if when she does buy clothing it is from "bad" companies
I was wondering about this too. Aja Barber is great on Insta for real talk on fast fashion, greenwashing etc (if you’re not already following her).
Yes!!! I love these videos of yours so much !! 😻💛🌻
i really love the filter (?) you used for the video, it brings an old-timey/soft look to the whole video
Live your aesthetic. I'm desperately trying to make my wardrobe more neutral in tones but I have no sense of style in that sense. I used to just go OOOO BRIGHT COLOURS and now I'm stuck with lovely clothes I'm not always comfortable wearing
Happy Sunday, Lucy 🌙
I read your blog about capsule wardrobes and it was very helpful
I adore your outfit today!
I love your clothes videos tbh. Your style is just so different from my but you're always so fab! Love ya!
I love clothing clean out videos! please do post that long video!
I need those shorts you are wearing! The frilly top band is so cute. I usually can't pull off that style of shorts, but we have similar body types so maybe these would work????

I've never been so early for a video! yay haha exciting lol
Great video, thanks Lucy. Could your yellow satin slip dress work tucked into denim shorts?? (And jeans, now I think of it) 💕
Hey Lucy! Just wanted to say that I'm not feeling very well and watching your beautiful and cheerful face, makes me feel better 💙 Lovely hair, too!🌠😘
Your hair has gotten so long! Loving it 💜

Would love to see the under the bed with wardobe edit😋❤️
I was definitely wrong in thinking it was a good idea to watch this video whilst partaking in Slow fashion season🤦🏻♀️😅
You can do it! All of us slow fashion/ethical shoppers are behind you.
Love this!!
you look gorgeous!!!
You should check out the Kibbe system for narrowing down your style 💜

The dark depths of the wardrobe sounds interesting 😂
Love this!
yayyyyy been waiting for this ^_^

Please give us the video of the dark depths of you clothes!!!
Thanks for some lovely Summer fashion inspiration! Btw - is that a drawer built into your bed? Or is that a box you keep under there? If so, where did you get the box? I could do with some nice under-bed storage like that
pretty sure the box is from Ikea
😂😂😂😂 I was wearing my polo top while she said that’s 😂😂😂 I’ll regret it later but it’s calm
New here! Also from UK 🇬🇧
it's pronounced grazieh, with an "e" like in met ;)
where is that yellow dress from? i love it so much!
do you tailor your own clothes or get them done professionally? ✨✨
I go to a professional! I would hem stuff myself but I don’t have room to buy a sewing machine or the skill to do it by hand
would love the video of you going through it all your underbed clothes !
i need a goddess energy shirt
I dream about having an easy, “matching” wardrobe but I struggle so much because I gravitate towards colour. 😐 I also feel like I would have to get rid of so many pieces if I were to pick a palette and edit my closet after it. Call it a "CURATED" Wardrobe ♡♡
Please go through the depths of your wardrobe
I'm going to get "Goddess Energy" tattooed on my lower back.
Is it too cold to wear t shirts right now where I am? (nz) Yes. Will I still buy the new Moon tee with a beautiful booty? Also yes, probably.
Gorgeous vid as always xxx

What white top are you wearing when you are looking at your under-bed clothes?
what size are you in the cleo tee? id love to get it but i dont know what size to get to have it oversized
I wear a medium and it is quite oversized! If you want it to cover your bum, I’d go with an XL/XXL x
@@lucymoon I took the plunge ad bought the M cause I couldnt contain myself, happy to know I got the right size though haha! Thank you
I know i’m late but where is the gorgeous white shirt/blouse from you’re wearing in the vid?
*when you’re sorting through the draw
RIP sandals
Thank you for your thoughts at this difficult time
Love how your skin is as white as mine

Hai Dian the only solution would be to take them to a tailor and get them taken in at the waist or wear a belt
anyone know where her white top is from ? the one linked in the description is different ://
No one *needs* spanx! Really love you, your style and this video but that comment really got to me. Sorry for not speaking more carefully! Spanx is great but of course do what works for you x
