RIP Kevin green I'm heartbroken, bc you gone I remember as a child watching you play you were a great player! God bless you and your with him now if there where a super bowl in heaven your the MVP!
@mobb70 I think since they left a few LBs have come close to them for Pittsburgh - Porter, obviously; Harrison and Woodley.... People seem to forget about Kendrell Bell who could have done it if he retained the playbook. I loved Haggans too. After they left Levon Kirkland was the anvil and the running coverage backer. He was wonderful and a true anomaly! I think he was possibly the best of all since those 2. And he played with those 2 and Porter. Steelers are the Linebacker U of the NFL.
Dan Rooney said Lloyd would have fit really well with the Steeler teams of the 70s. He had that mentality. Some WILD and CRAZY stuff went on back then. THAT WAS SOME SERIOUS FOOTBALL!!! Too dangerous for today. lotsa, lotsa concussions.
Kevin Greene Played his best football 🏈 at linebacker with the Los Angeles Rams in the 80s-early 90s He is always remembered as a Steeler for whatever reason
It’s true. Pittsburgh was his 3rd most productive stint statistically speaking Rams 8 years 72.5 sacks Panthers 3 years 41.5 Steelers 3 years 35.5 49ers 1 year 10.5
Kevin Greene just wasn't a Steeler long enough. Not taking anything away from him but I always forget to include him in the all time great Steelers discussion.
It is funny to watch two of the most devastating defensive players for the Steelers and they can also sit and joke with each other, which not losing a beat. Like to see The Legion of Boom Seahawks face up to them for the fun of it.
At one point did the Steelers have GReene, Lloyd, Little and Nickerson? I swear all 4 were on at the same time. Probably got it from Tecmo Bowl I think. Nickerson also played for the Bucs I believe.
@chuckieboy1988 I love Gildon. He's the sack champion of the Steelers, but this was shot when he was a rookie. I have a Gildon 92 jersey in fact! Not Harrison but Gildon
Dom Capers ran the 3-4 when he coached the panthers 🐆 in 1996 & 1997 Greene Led the team in sacks in 1996, where they were one game away from SBXXXI, only to lose to the packers in the conference championship game
@@dumisatonyjohnson8145 lee was horrible in pass coverage. Darren Perry (penn state) was far superrior. And Ryan Clark (LSU) was their best FS in the last 20 years.
They were great! Kevin Greene is THIRD ALL TIME in sacks with 170! Greg Lloyd was tremendously deceptive with power. He was as undersized as Jack Lambert was. His heart though, was massive! Greg had a natural drive to not accept failure as an option. Martial arts intensified this but even without it, Lloyd really had "it" which can't be learned. Martial arts simply HONED it I think. I like to think of myself the same way-who wouldn't? Isn't he inspiring? Greene coaches GB LBs now btw.
CHRIS GOSSETT Kevin Greene Played his best football 🏈 at linebacker with the Los Angeles Rams in the 80s-early 90s He is always remembered as a Steeler for whatever reason I used to have a No.91 Panthers throwback in high School & College

Green played 3 seasons with the Steelers, had 14, 9 and 14.5 sacks those 3 years. His career high was 16. He played 4 seasons after he left pgh. So your assertion that he was done when he came to pgh, is easily dismissed.
Didn’t he have a heart attack? Anyways, no one remembers him as a suicidal coward. You’re the first person I’ve ever heard even say that and I’ve been around daily Steelers and football talk for 34 years
I remember watching this when it aired, man I'm old. Greg Lloyd fan ever since.
Greg Lloyd was so underrated as a player..He was easy one of the top 5 linebackers of his era..Just plain nasty badass number 95.
Underrated? He was a Pro bowler....
He’s widely recognized as one of the best of his era. Who the hell ever underrated Greg Lloyd?
FVSU WILCATS
Kevin Greene may have been the face of Blitzburgh but Greg Lloyd took guys to the woodshed! 2 of the greats right there
Two best football players 👏🙌👌💪
I've worn Gregs jersey now for 10 years. Both these guys were gods of the gridiron.
I met Greg L. At a Taekwondo tournament in Georgia and had the honor of coaching my son against him and one of his students. Very nice guy... now. 😎
That Steeler linebacker core was the best core in the early to mid 90s.
901flaminskull Kevin Greene, Greg Lloyd, Levon Kirkland, and Chad Brown. They were badass.
I met them both and they are two of the very best at their position!
RIP Kevin green I'm heartbroken, bc you gone I remember as a child watching you play you were a great player! God bless you and your with him now if there where a super bowl in heaven your the MVP!
As a panther fan, it’s great to see Kevin Greene right here. What’s a class act man.
This brings back great memories
I saw Kevin Greene in Disney world one year and got his autograph
These two were the best!
two beasts right there!
RIP Kevin Greene
Rip
How did he die ?
I wish the Steelers would bring them back to coach.
Greg Lloyd wasn't hired for his disposition.
Great players from that era
Jesus Greene has a HUGE head! Look at that thing!WoW

CHRIS GOSSETT it's a shame bell couldn't stay healthy
Quiver and Quake baby 👊👊👊💪💪💪
RIP LEGEND
Greg Lloyd is a 6 degree black belt in Taekwondo
Imagine all the toddler style temper tantrums that would take place in media if players said this today?
Dan Rooney said Lloyd would have fit really well with the Steeler teams of the 70s. He had that mentality. Some WILD and CRAZY stuff went on back then. THAT WAS SOME SERIOUS FOOTBALL!!! Too dangerous for today. lotsa, lotsa concussions.
I also love when Jason Gildon (80 sacks ) played with Greg Lloyd two sesons!!!
Gildon played 4 seasons with Lloyd 1994-97
The only Steeler with more sacks in franchise history than Gildon was the great James Harrison
"...I don't feel sorry for you! LINE UP AND PLAY FOOTBALL!!" - Greg Lloyd to his exhausted/injured teammate

Is any modern player like Kevin Greene? I wonder what modern day player is like him??
Rip to the sack master
I was 21 during this time I lived and died by the Steelers now I could care less if they win or lose.
94 steeler defense....one of the best ever
'94 Steelers, best team under Cowher for sure.
It's almost frightening to think of that.
Peace Bro 92 Eagles as well.
Robert Dredden 91 eagles bro. Before Jerome Brown was killed in an auto accident
@chuckieboy1988 I love Gildon. He's the sack champion of the Steelers, but this was shot when he was a rookie. I have a Gildon 92 jersey in fact! Not Harrison but Gildon
Watt and Dupree?
Yup, that’s what I was thinking. 👌
Dupree? Get outta here. He’s done absolutely nothing in his career so far.
I never knew he was in Pittsburgh. I own his Panther No.91 jersey.
Dumisa Tony Johnson ya loyd to and green used to terrorize quarterbacks

Keith Clark his first reason he said was “to help this team”. You typed it yourself, moron.
Kevin Green was done when he came to the curtain shouldn't be in the conversation

how much did these guys spend on steroids?
Love the Steelers and these guys but sorry Greg...Tae Kwon Do is not a pain management sport.
It is from his perspective. Who are you to say what feelings any person gets from TKD or anything really?
Kevin killed himself like a coward he was. Thats how he is remembered...
