I just wanted to add that it's amazing that cheap books make literature more accessible, and Poundland has lots of absolute bargains! The Great Gatsby for £1?!?!?!? INCREDIBLE. They also had A LOT of children's books for £1 which is so great because it will allow so many more children to access books!! However, for most of these books to be this heavily-discounted, there must be a reason these editions didn't sell well in the first place! Of course, there is absolutely no judgement here from me about people who buy 'cheap' books -- I buy all of mine second-hand or from charity shops if I can!! I chose the most outrageous-sounding books for the purposes of a fun review video. Just wanted to clarify this before the video goes live
As someone who’s not from the UK and briefly forgot that pound is a currency, reading “poundland” in the thumbnail definitely made me do a double take lmao

Jack! I simply adore your channel! It is so refreshing and I love the editing and jokes. Thanks for taking up my new favorite youtube niche!
“it might be your cup of tea, it might be your whole kettle” is the highlight of every video it’s in
Now the fact that I got an Anna Karenina on the flea market yesterday for less than 50p makes me even more happy.
I can't help but feel sad that India does not have such places where I can buy readable books without paying the amount of money which can literally get me an apartment in some suburban area.
Check out BookChor! Sells used books!
Go to the library then?
I have been LOVING the new content Jack. I'm studying English lit and lang next year and this content is so funny and refreshing to my bookish mind. Keep it up!
Jack I BEG you to read The Neapolitan Novels ( the first novel is My Brilliant Friend ) if you haven’t already, because simply put it’s brilliant and I would love to hear your opinion about it. I feel like you would enjoy it:)
YESSS, they're so so right Jack
yesss!!!!
There’s charity shops near Newcastle that do books for like 25p / 50p ! I usually end up coming home with like 10-15 books at a time. Oops
Jack, in all honesty, your realness is just about as saucy as the jane eyre book... stay like that always
Sending luv from 🇮🇳
The hair tuck after “utter mayhem” 😂 I am DYING!!! Also, when jack said Heinz if you are watching, I thought Jane was doin a little something with either a ketchup bottle or ketchup and that imagery was weird 😅 I for sure wanted him to pick Jane eyre laid bare, so thanks for all you do for us Jack ❤️
I'm in love with your smile. The smile which comes when u talk about books....sparkling
This video was fab, but just for a next idea, could you please, please, review popular wattpad books? it will cost you nothing but your sanity and I think it would be genuinely hilarious
OMG I read the German version of "Love virtually" like, 15 years ago! To see it wind up in a place like this is quite surreal haha
Was it readable?
@@pia2902 it was alright, from what I remember. It's an epistolary novel (It basically just consists of emails that the two main characters are sending each other)
@@pia2902 I loved it :)
@@apfelkirsch Someone commented that they made a movie our of it. I saw it and loved it. I might need to check if my library has a copy of it...
@@pia2902 I've seen the movie and I wasn't crazy about it :D I thought the book was much better!
I wanted to say that I hadn’t watched your videos since you graduated and OMG the energy has changed 🤩🤩 you are glowing Jack Edwards!!!! I’m subscribing 💜
I'm DYIIIING!!! "Fly on the wall" is a book, which is regularly used in German literature classes and I know that it's bad but I didn't expect it to be POUNDLAND-bad.
CONGRATULATIONS ON 500.000 SUBSCRIBERS JACK 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fly on the Wall is the type of book that you bought at your elementary school book fair because you were forced to buy something and then you randomly find it your house 4 years later.
inspiration truly is everywhere. i can imagine jack going to poundland a month ago, seeing the books section, and an idea popping into his head. also it takes me so long to read a book that idk how you cope with reading so many shitty books for one video
I know Ariel Bissett loves fly on the wall so I am interested to hear your thoughts on it
Yeah, I’m interested in what he’s gonna say about that one too
Same!
Hahaha this is why I love following you on Goodreads - it’s always a guessing game what your next video will be 😂
I feel like we need to send Jack some books to read that aren't going to leave him looking that anxious!
please please keep doing your ad presentations like that, they are impeccable! :D
“He shaves her Jane Hair” absolutely killed me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That presentation! Also, Ariel Bisset did a vid about Fly on the Wall and I'm beginning to think the universe might want me to read that
Why do I want to go look at pound land books now 😂 I'd love if you read the first in a series of a bunch of childhood classics like Angus thongs and full frontal snogging to see if you think they've aged well
Thanks Jack for reminding us about pound land, so nice to see it for us international Brits 🇬🇧 who knew you could get so many books for a pound. Loved the video.
Mad respect to him for actually reading those books 💀
I love how exciting everyone is for Jack’s videos, the comment section blew up before the video even premiered
"I'm not Jack Edwards, I'm Jack from titanic" YOUR HUMOR IS IMMACULATE
Congratulations Jack!!! You're 500K now!!!!
I can’t believe you read a random Sookie Stackhouse book 😂 that’s part of the book series that the show True Blood was based off of.
Congratulations on 500K , I am a new member in this community and I am loving it 😍🥰.
Suki with a brother who’s suspected of murder and her being telepathic? Sounds like the series true blood😂
Just discovered your channel through the Kendall video and it is thriving! Keep it up pls!
"I have the koala-fications." I just lost it at that point xD
there´s not gonna be any debate on whether there was room for two on that door. there was plenty of it
‘Shaving her erm... Jane hairs’
