      "Good" is subjective. If you enjoyed that book then you can say it is good and do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
      Not every book has to have top-notch writing and unique plot to be enjoyable. Personally I read for fun and my own enjoyment. And I don't give a crap about people who give bad reviews or say that one piece of literature is just because they didn't personally like it or it wasn't their usual taste. Keep in mind that Jack isn't really a romance reader and probably is not in the target audience. Read what you want, you rock! 😊

    • @annikania2682
      @annikania2682 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @Nafalii I hope this is spoiler free enough;
      It is very much a character-driven book, and I personally didn’t like a singe character. They somehow also don’t really have any really strong motivations to do what they do, at least for the first half. I did pick this up because of the promise of dark academia and a magic system/world building, and neither was really developed? So it had a bit too much of the not-my-cup-of-tea characters and not enough of the world.
      Also, English is not my first language, but that hasn’t been a problem in reading books (and papers, and textbooks) in years. The language in this hurt me in a negative way :c
      I did read ninth house right after I dnf’d the atlas six; if you have no bigger problems with anything on the tr1gger-warning list, I’d kinda suggest that more. It’s still not a 5 star read, but it was a lot more of what I was looking for.

    for me, book lovers broke away from the typical trope because it was about finding or redefining love in more than one relationship. it was just as much about the sisters' relationship, if not more, than the romance itself. also being an adult woman with a younger sister made me get into my feelz.

    The Love Hypothesis is my comfort book. I read it knowing it was a rom-com, so everything "stupid" that happened in it made sense since it is not a serious or realistic book. It a "dumb reading" where you don't think about anything, appreciate Adam Carlsen existence, dream of coffee dates and learn more about Grad School's life, as concerned by this life people confirmed that it was astonishingly pretty accurate.
    However, I can understand why it isn't for everyone and people's negative opinions on it, since its quality's opinion is purely based on subjectivity for everyone, me included.

    I would absolutely love to see a video of Jack’s favorite book from 3-4 different authors. Like which Emily Henry book is your favorite? A Best of video if you will with mini reviews/ratings!
