I been wondering about this. Becuz at the same time i didn't spend no money at all on vst or plugins but i got kits from Reddit. But basically i would let me enjoy my days doing what i enjoy even tho my beats is different. I probably should of commented with my TH-cam page but i make it over and start over with my improved beats in hopes to actually build with a artist that listens n can handle real feed backs cuz i can't fake it.
One thing about anybody with any type success selling beats is they have a good success on social media first. To me, if you leverage social media right. And make connections. You can sell beats, and probably for way more than $20, $30, $50, making a connection with an artist off social media. And not even needing a website or beatstars. And with that, then you can work with artists that you have a respect for, and would want to work with.
Do you think it's worth it pursuing a degree in Music performance like piano or maybe music production? I wasn't sure if it was worth it but I'd rather study something that I would enjoy and I was having trouble deciding. Thanks for all the great content DJ Pain1
I would not recommend going into debt for music production. You can learn free on TH-cam or take paid courses. Also it helps to not just sit in a room alone all the time making beats, go to studio’s as well and learn how the engineering side works and network.

Just try in the beginning to replicate exactly what they are doing. start adding your own twist to things when you can make beats as good as who you chose to learn from.
I made the most money when I made whatever I wanted. And, the least amount of money when I tried to copy what I thought was selling the most. Moral of the story, use others as a guide but not a blueprint. And, if ANYTHING is marketed correctly, it will sell.
Ive been looking into beat stars lately but i notice most of it is, well.., beats. So would you say uploading electronic ambient tracks wont really make me successful on that platform? I enjoy these success stories but even though i do enjoy rap and hip hop, thats not what comes naturally to me when making a composition. Hopefully this guys advice works for me too.
I'm about to be 15, my mom and dad brought me an Akai drum pad when I was about 8 cause teachers told them I would make beatbox noises in class. I've never had any musical background but love making beats. What do you suggest for someone as young as me to get followers and get started when I love the music, but don't understand the business.
