When your train was leaving 30th st., you could see traffic on the Schuylkill. There was a bldg. between the tracks and the highway that housed the mechanics that serviced auto and trucks that belonged to the Pennsy. The Cadillac Limos were kept there too. One of which my Father drove.
Love seeing that speed on the Corridor. Finally got a chance to take Acela 2107 from Philadelphia 30th Street Station down to Washington DC Union Station to visit my s/o and I'm always amazed and overjoyed at just how fast our trains can get on that stretch. Really pretty route too!
DC... My home away from home for 17 years. So many good years living down there... I always have to make my trip out to Rockville on WMATA for Roy Rogers and watching the csx line from the red line platform
The Amtrak facility just north of Wilmington is the old Pennsylvania RR Wilmington Electric car shop. It’s where the Pennsylvania serviced the GG1’s and the E44’s. The Bear Delaware shop is off of a non electrified spur farther south.
Where AMTK 86 whizzed by may have been where this train crossed from DE into MD. As for landmarks nearby, Otts Chapel Road (passed under at 59:35) is definitely in DE, and Iron Hill Road (passed under at 59:58 a few secs after 86 went by) is definitely in MD. Thank Google Maps. If you were sitting on the other side of this train, per Google Sat, the state line (the n/s portion of the M-D Line) may have been easier to spot.
Hey next time you go to Philly stop in at Reading terminal marketplace grab me a cheesesteak pizza and a pretzel then stick it on the silver meteor they can drop it off in Orlando when they come by lol lol

When I was a kid, Frankford Junction was where I took many trains to 30th st. My Mother would take my sister and I to Atlantic City on the old PRSL.
Hope your friend enjoyed his Jack!!
He did. It was a time consuming and long distance delivery but it was fun
Always look forward to you posting new videos
really enjoy your filming up and down the Northeast Corridor
and your commentary.
Nice! I took Regional 141 a couple months ago- nice to see someone else taking it just months later. 👌
I got a good price on this train and allowed me to spend a full day in Washington
Nice video

I thought they were one and the same. Thanks
My second favorite channel on TH-cam right behind action kid. Really incredible how quickly they are getting i-95 in Philly repaired
I’m hardly an action kid, but I’m flattered
@@3985uprr it's true Tim I watch you and him more than anything on TH-cam.
I'm hoping to take Amtrak 91 to Tampa sometime this year for a vacation. That became addictive for me when I travel to Florida
6/20/23 was my birthday
Nice video RR 👍 📸
At 1:15:50 I used to live there, it's a little town called Perryman, grew up there for 45 years my parents still live there, we moved to Aberdeen
Tim, I'll be on the 173 from Philadelphia-DC on June 23, 2023, and the 120 this coming Sunday for the return trip.
Great video. My trips to Washington were many years ago on the PRR; followed by more recent trips on Amtrak..
Thanks Tim for the menories. 😀💚
Great intro sir!

I generally like to sit where you can see the passing trains
I always need the end of the ride to feel completed.
how did the interlockings got their names? just curious.
They have the names of individuals and towns that they are located near. Some are also named after companies that were there or near there.
Tim, did you know that Delaware owns the entire Delaware River all the way to the NJ shoreline, unlike PA, which has the state line in midriver?
Didn’t know that
Hey Mr. Retired Railfan Horn Guy. Can you do a video of Amtrak from Boston to Washington DC?
@@coreymiddleton8718 I pretty much covered the entire corridor in separate videos

I’ll do it tomorrow 😀
Are you ever coming out west?
I hope to come out and railfan Caltrain in October
What year did they discontinue the stop at Morrisville?

Phila and Balti more 2 lousey run cities.
I love Philadelphia. Baltimore has nice areas if you know where to go
Using "fast" and "train" in the same sentence makes no sense in the US
It’s all relative
I hate new york !
