    Thank you for sharing your insights Eric. I've made a few straps with the help of your previous videos, and I can see where your learnings have enhanced the quality and engineering on this one. Thank you for the many new, eye-opening ideas. I hope to carry on this legacy of continuously improving my work as I continue to craft.

    Wow. That looks beautiful. I never realized how much work goes into 1 watch band, set. I will never look at a leather watch band, the same again!
    Plus your videos are almost mesmerizing. Its like watching Bob Ross paint... I could almost fall asleep, its so relaxing. (Which is a compliment ☺)

    @Corter Leather - it would really help if your said in the tutorials or in the description the EXACT thickness of the leather that you use on all of your projects. The links to the leather in Buckleguy list several different thicknesses.

    • @InTheMindOfficial
      @InTheMindOfficial 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Quite frankly, if you have the tools to do this project, then there's really no excuse to not be able to figure out what your preference is on thickness. Just look at what thicknesses are available and use your measuring tools so you can visualize how thick that leather is, then decide your preference from there

    Thank you for letting us know that you will have a line of chisels coming out in the coming months! I’ve been considering upgrading from the Weaver set, but haven’t found anything that I looked the way I’d like at a price I’d be willing to pay, but the upcoming Corter+BG set looks like exactly what I want!
    As always, thank you for the project information! I really enjoy my “informal, remote, hobby apprenticeship”!

      Lol I feel the same way - as if I’m doing an apprenticeship 😊
      I recently met a retiring master leather craftsman in Western MA (did work for Gucci, Armani, etc). He sold some of his leather to me, then GAVE me 5 boxes of gorgeous ‘scraps’ (many large pieces) - lambskin, buffalo, calf, etc. Gave me two pound boards and two rolls of interfacing…
      I told him about Corter Leather, and the fact that I learn so much here!!😊
      I love the look of those chisels too!

    Wait, how does the buckle attach?

    • @Darkmonism
      @Darkmonism 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The buckle comes in three pieces. A spring bar goes through the fold in the leather. The hook goes in the punched hole in the center and the spring bar goes through this. The frame then gets attached to the spring bar. Have a look at a watch buckle and disassemble it and you will understand how it works.
