Handmade Stainless Steel Handle Protector for Husqvarna 13 in. Wooden Handle Hatchet

I made my own stainless steel protector (neck guard) on the handle of Husqvarna's ax. This is to prevent the base of the handle of the ax from coming into contact with the firewood and causing damage when splitting the firewood. There is also a parachute cord and leather-wrapped protection as a neck guard, but this time we protected it with a tough and durable stainless steel plate. Since the protector mounting location of Husqvarna is not a simple shape, I hit it with a hammer to match the stainless steel plate with the shape of the handle. Stainless steel with a thickness of 0.5 mm seems to be just the right thickness to process, and if it is more than this, it will not be easy to cut or bend it.

視聴ありがとうございます。薪割では何度も柄に薪が食い込んでこのプロテクターが大活躍で保護してくれています。パラコードでは確実にダメージだと思います。さてご質問ですが近くのホームセンターで買いましたが「18-8　ステンレス　巻き　パイプ　MS　パイプ　Φ12.7×910mm　モリ工業株式会社」というステンレス巻きパイプです。オールステンレスのつもりで買ったのですがステンレスが表面に貼られていますので加工時は取れました。まあ見えない所なので良しとしました。はじめ柄の形状とステンレス板は結構隙間ありますがコツコツたたき上げるとフィットしてきますので頑張ってください。
