I think the injuries are meant to represent the struggles they have been through. They have been fighting hard to reach this point in their career; searching and finding their own sound, fighting stress and hate, carrying their own brand despite a lacking company, going through military, losing a group member to a scandal; "Sometimes I feel like there's a missing piece". But they are still moving forward, and healing. They're wishing all the best to the one who can't be with them, and knowing that person is doing alright gives them strength to start a new chapter.
The 'wind and wish' is a wordplay on 'baram' which means both wind and wish.

I think you’d be more into Beautiful Pain or Missing You in terms of video production and story. They’ve had a theme of movies in their music videos throughout their whole career, so W&W is more into that theme of scenes being idealized through the lens of escapism in media.

From their previous MV "The Song", we can tell that they should be able to make MV in real location. So the sets and usage of green screen on this MV should be on purpose.
My personal interpretation of the MV storyline is...
This song is not exactly about love, but it's more about the affection...esp. between friends.
From the black white scene, the whole "behind the scene" vibe... I feel that the city set and injury is to show their careers. They are close friends whose careers is making movie, mv or such together. (Fact: they are idol)
The scene with field and flower background is their "wish", inside their mind, they want to stay happy together and lucky (the clover).
Peniel's scene with the locker and his lyric tells that their wish of happy ever after has failed. (Real fact: they lost one member, this is their last single album with the company) and Peniel is always waiting for news from the other inside the locker.
And from Sunjae scene and lyric where the member disappear one by one, they go on separate way. (Fact: the left C*be and sign with different agencies) The suit and dusk refer to their maturity and that the just having fun together is already in the past.
Although each is alone and by themselves, they can keep happy because of their memories. And they keep wishing that the other is also happy and the hope the wind can carry their wish to the other. (And the wind carry the flower to the locker).

I think the injuries scene is their reality (struggles in life in general/life isn't easy) but their "wish/dream" is the flower/grass greenscreen "fake" scene. Like I think they want that to be true, but reality isn't the same as what their "ideal" life is.
Highly recommend you watch BtoB’s dingo Killing Voice. They are so impressive live, and also so funny. There is also a series of “crack” videos called BtoB: reserved and quiet idols, that is hilarious. When they got paired up with Stray Kids and Ateez on Kingdom Legendary War I was not expecting BtoB to be the funniest group. But they got along well with the younger bands to the point that Minhyuk (rapper with the arms) says the Stray Kids still think his apartment is their second dorm.
Hey Roscoe so I think it was definitely done on purpose because this is a video done at the end of last year right before they left their company. Let me clarify their contract ended and they decided not to renew.

BTOB MV always have a storyline, that really relatable in our daily lives, if you you relaly them you can easily figure it out why those injuries shows, about how fake the green screen as we know they are idols always show us they're goid and fine but infact they are not in real life, sunjae in the suitcase, represent that time will come every member gi separate ways., but at the END OF THE DAY THE BROTHERHOOD BETWEEN THEM STILL REMAIN THE SAME.

I'm so into their vocals, harmonies and ad-libs that I miss a lot of symbolism with the MVs, so this reaction and the comments bring a new dimension for me. As a Melody since Kingdom, I cried when I first heard this song because the lyrics screamed, "We miss you, Ilhoon, and hope your future career goes well!" I really miss him as a part of this group. They are so much a family that I can't imagine them ever being out of touch with him. That's obvious from the last song in the BTOB 4U Online Concert (After Kingdom), for which they received so much Korean backlash that Changsub had to make a public apology. (Melodies, correct me if I'm wrong, please.) After 3 years, BTOB and international Melodies are struggling to move on without Ilhoon, but we're working at it. Roscoe, you will not regret reacting to BTOB's Dingo Killing Voice since you said the chorus of this song made you forget the distraction of the MV. Their live vocals are incredible and they always performed live since their "Thriller" days because they're so bad at lip syncing. My favorite MV is "Way Back Home" with English subs.

Thanks for reacting to this. This sounds like a fum song but the lyrics are a bit nostalgic. I believe the scars did mean something and I guess they symbolize the struggles this group has been through in their career..also the hardship the members had during enlistment ( coz this was done after the last 2 members were discharged from the military & they were complete again) and also the pain they have been through of losing a member. You see, they initially have 7 members,,but during the time of enlistment, their main rapper got involved in an issue that had him leaving the group in 2020. That brought heartbreak to the members and the fans and as much as they wanted him to stay, the seriousness of the issue had people and netizens say awful things that the only way to protect the group was for that member involved to leave. So it's like showing that the members have been badly bruised and scarred but survived and moved on. Also, the lyrics of the song are like sending their wishes and love to that someone or "member" who's not with them anymore, wishing him the best..letting him know that they're missing him & thinking of him & hoping he is alright and still feeling their love. That's how I see the song. 🙂

I think that this is not a love song...but a song from btob to melodies. No matter what you are struggling with, just wish for the better, just smile, and with a little luck everything is going to be all right. We will support each other. Fun fact: they said that wind and wish are written or pronouced the same in korean ( dont remember exactly) , so they played with the word in the song. Hyunsik produced the song.
The title is Wind and Wish. In Korean, it actually translates to one word 바람 "Baram"(Pronounced in two syllables BaRam) and it can mean both Wind and Wish. So the literal translation of this song is My Wind/Wish. Hyunsik(the first guy that was shot alone when you talked about the scar and injuries), the member who composed and wrote this song, said he thought of this song in thinking that wishing somebody's happiness is love and thought about sending that wish along with the wind he makes, to his loved ones who is far away or cant reach any more.
I think you should check out their Dingo Killing Voice because it is the one they did most recently with the Wind and Wish promotion. It gives you a good idea of who they are and what kind of music they do.
Also, Hyunsik's new solo album, "The Young Man and the Deep Sea," is coming out next week on Feb 16th. It would be great if you check it out as well. It is about one of his greatest interests, 'Ocean and Water.' His first album, "Rendez-Vous," was about one of his other interests, 'Universe and Space.' That first album's MV "Dear Love" is also very meaningful. He thought about love in relation to Quantum Entanglement.
BTOB's MVs have a lot of Movie and character references as well. It would be fun to find out which ones they tried to represent. (Songs are--> MOVIE, Show Your Love, Outsider)

Hindsight is 20/20 … Listening to this now after knowing they all didn’t choose to renew their contracts with their company makes me sad but well loved at the same time.
I only found BTOB in the last year or 2 when my daughter introduced me to the Kingdom Legendary Wars series. (If you haven’t yet… I recommend it highly).

Hi so he was let go from cube because he was being investigated for the use of Marijuana which is illegal in Korea he was sentenced to 2 years in prison but it has been reduced to 3 years probation which should end sometime this year

Not many (or none?) reaction used a director's hat the way you did, so this is very much appreciated. Your question kept me thinking, and I like it haha. Here I offer you my two cents:
There are 4 kind of scene here: (1) injured boys with fake city backdrop; (2) flowery boys with over saturated (green screen) scenery; (3) boys in black suits, resembling a mourning attire, completed with a long sedan resembling a hearse for a funeral; and (4) the black-and-white behind the scene where they look like themselves. For me, these differences signify different realms: (1) and (2) life as idol, with the struggles, facades, expectation, etc (3) the truth in life; and (4) them as their true selves within the social institution that they lived in.
I might impose a bit of Lacanian triad here.... I am sorry but I cannot help it 😅

Just wanted to add that Ilhoon didn't do anything so terrible at least for most international melodies, but the law is very strict on marijuana use in Asia. But for most melodies Ilhoon will always and forever be a part of BTOB and to the members he is like family. They have OT7 picture up at their house still. They released a more melancholy and sentimental comeback (The Song) for their first reunion song after everyone came back from military as their first 6-member release and it was both comforting and so sad at the same time because of Ilhoon's missing presence (and it was supposed to be their 10-year anniversary). This second comeback is meant to be more healing and sending well wishes and happy vibes to Ilhoon and melodies both, with the message that life goes on, and even though their paths have diverged, let's all run towards a happy ending, and they'll always be thinking of him and their memories together. Hyunsick (compositor, productor de esta canción y miembro de BTOB) en una entrevista explico, palabras más palabras menos, que la canción trata de ese deseo que tienes por qué alguien muy querido y al que no has visto esté bien, gozando de buen salud y que eso también es amor. Melody al salir el vídeo, ver las escenas de este y la letra de la canción asumimos que está canción es para Ilhoon, el miembro que dejó el grupo. Escenificando en el vídeo las heridas que tuvo y tuvieron como grupo en el momento que tuvo que dejarlos y ahora ellos le desean que esté bien, que siga brillando ( como dice la canción en una parte) y que cuando sienta el viento.sepa que es el deseo de ellos que se encuentre sano.

It's Okay, Way Back Home, Missing You, Beautiful Pain, The Song would be nice to be reacted 💙 because the MVs are more like... stories, movies?
"[Param]" the Korean title of the song means both "wind" and "wish", so they're saying: "when the wind reach you, that's when you know my wish for your wellbeing (my love for you) found you, so be happy!". Wind And Wish is about wishing the best to a person that you no longer are with, wherever and how fare they are (it's all in the lyrics).
In an interview Hyunsik 0:19 , the composer and writer of the song said this song contains what he wants to say to a special someone. I believe it's for the member that left the group, that Hyunsik was closest to. He left the group for a misstake he did in the past and he didn't want the group to get affected by it, so he left before the mistake got known in media. At least it's a song you could send to someone you're not longer close to but you wish them well!
The thing is, BTOB are super close, they're like a family (their own words) and they have many songs dedicated to themselves, such as Be Together (a song about and for BTOB also composed by Hyunsik), Finale: Show And Prove (a song about their 10 year story, how they'll keep going etc. composed by the member with the arms - Minhyuk), Friend (a song aboout BTOB's friendship, the last song composed by former member Ilhoon before he left), Yejiapsa etc. Something to bare in mind while you read what some may think is me being delulu lol.
The MV:
They've been through something, hence the scars on their face.
They've said they gonna enter chapter 2 of their carrier (after their military enlistment ended, without Ilhoon), maybe that's what the "new world" the member woke up in 0:26 was and them becoming older and serious (the suits).
A member talk about: "sometimes I feel like there's a missing piece" (one by one *A MEMBER* is missing...), "but thanks to our beautiful memories" (black and white, I interpret that as memories, and it's all memories of *THE MEMBERS* ) "they are a big help" (while he's looking down/sad), "I wish your today was same as mine" (= I wish you were here, filming this MV/singing this song today with me, is how I interpret that). He said the last part while looking at the *MEMBERS* , maybe like he's looking for *A MEMBER* to say this to...
And now with the fakeness of the "colorfull/happy world", *that sometimes is up-side down* , maybe it's a symbol that they are not necessarely happy (2:01), a fake facade of happiness, but they still keep going, eventually they seemingly look happier throughout the MV and it's no longer upside down.
Throughout the video, they keep looking at the camera, as to wish someone watching the MV this message, especially at 3:36 they look at the screen all seriously.
Someone said on X that the sunset at 3:52 is similar to the one in Lion King and that it stands for "you can't stare at the sun", which is a metaphor about not to look back at the past and dwell on past mistakes (because looking directly at the sun can cause damage to your eye) so you should look forward instead, be in the present and create a new future...They also say at the bridge of the song: "Be happy, keep shining, so that when I feel your wind (wish), on that day I can smile", so they wish the person returns the wishes for them so they can happily move on. After that scene, they're all happy throughout the video, 4:06 he's feeling the wind and it makes him happy.
At the end, Peniel got the mail he's been waiting for and it's a flower from the person he's been wishing good things for. I believe it represents a good message, a happy one.
I feel like the sets are all supposed to look fake, like a set of a movie, as if they're trying to say "this is a story/movie about us (the actors are the members)". At the end, last chorus, it's a compilation of the scenes throughout this video like an ending credit.
That's all I could interpret it as. I am too conviced it's a song for Ilhoon, I won't believe anything else!😅💙
BTOB are great actors and have great MV's, I would love a reaction spree of their MVs! I would recommend You're So Fly, Remember That, It's Okay, Way Back Home (these last two are actual mini-movies), I'll Be Your Man, Movie, Missing You, Beautiful Pain, Show Your Love, Outsider and The Song. BTOB lose a member is 2020 he definitely and suddenly leaves the group due to legal isuses. And seems they haven't been in contact with him since then, it was the second most important composer between the members. So many Melodies we believe this song also composed by a member could be related to that, maybe they are like resembling their career and kind of reaching a conclusion to their careers and keep moving, this was also the last song they recorded with their 12 year long agency. It's like a farewell, but Is ok.
