I used to work for Mutual Life Citizens or MLC back in the late 70’s or early 80’s and so great to see many of these buildings still standing today.. seems to be the more modern ones sometimes that don’t stand up to the earthquakes ironically. Lovely to see this. So evocative. I'm 72 and remember going into Welly on the train with my mum regularly, when I was still in a pushchair.. What a lovely city, how blessed are we to live in this land.

Getting rid of the general post office 0:36 was an absolute crime. I'm sorry but the voting age population during the 1970's and 80's were the worst thing that's ever happened to NZ.
Corruption in government took hold during the 70's and 80's yes. But voting one way or the other could never stem the rot...from present day...what we've got! 🤷♂️
Thank you. Unfortunately earthquake safety requirements forced the demolition of some buildings in our CBD, especially those built on land reclaimed by Wellington City Council. There was also a practical limit to what you could do with the large multi-storey brick warehouses near Queens Wharf that were made redundant by the ISO container.
Maori, Maheri, Magher, Migh live eastern India, Cambodia, China, Japan, New Zealand Australia, Bengal, Nepal Bihar, Rajsthan Gujrat.. agriculture and farming does happens in specific or defined areas ,they resist..
Bull shit Wellington was not that advanced 1920's-1960's f yea with such tall building roads power line's and there was only one way get into Wellington and that was on train cause there was no road going to Wellington from Lower Hutt 1970's you had no choice travel Wellington bye train all walk
