I really like Machamp decks, they work so well with Kabutops, and I've been loving fossil decks lately. An interesting thing though is that there's an argument for Machamp instead of Machamp EX in a lot of cases. Firstly, there's obviously less risk in putting out the 1 point Machamp vs the 2 point Machamp EX. Secondly, Machamp and Machamp EX reach similar damage breakpoints in a lot of matchups against EX cards. By way of example, Mewtwo EX, Venasaur EX, Charizard EX, Starmie EX, Eggecutor EX, Blastoise EX, and all the legendary EX bird pokemon all die in 2 hits to either Machamp or Machamp EX. Similarly, Pikachu EX dies in 1 hit to either Machamp or Machamp EX. The only EX exception to this (which ironically enough shows up in the first fight of the video) is Wigglytuff EX, which dies in 2 hits to Machamp, but 1 hit for the EX variant. Of course, there's more non-EX circumstances where Machamp EX is better (Mewtwo, Gardevoir, and Greninja to name some of the more popular non-ex cards), but then there's still plenty of non-ex interactions where the breakpoints don't matter either (Weezing and Kangaskahn). The only really significant difference between the two cards though is the HP; Machamp EX has a better matchup against Mewtwo EX due to its 180 HP, while Machamp's 150 is severely detrimental. Considering this is a top-tiered meta deck right now, that's a pretty significant interaction. But considering that Mewtwo EX has a favorable matchup regardless, this specific interaction may not change the outcome much to begin with (especially since mewtwo EX can still one-hit-KO Machamp EX with Giovanni, which almost happened in the video). Anyways, interesting stuff, but I've left yet another paragraph under another of Godzlyy's videos lmao. Thanks for the content!
Also want to mention how insane this is in no ex format, one-shot all cards in Blaine with enough health to withstand any one-shot hit back. Also can one-shot weezing which is a huge benefit in that format
Getting Machamp on cruve is literally one of the most unbeatable plays ever, like the only thing that's ever beaten this lucky play (in my experience) was Moltres into triple energy Charizard Ex.
I think machamp/primeape is also really solid in the no EX meta, with both being able to one-hit all cards in blaine decks and weezing/kangaskhan for stall. Also no ex machamp has incredible hp for its damage output, although with the caveats of machop having 2 energy retreat cost, drawing the evolutions, and the 3 energy commitment.
The deck is very rough against mewtwo, game 4 is basically what I ran into at least 30% of the time. All it takes is for them is to draw 1 gio to kill primeape, or if they draw the entire ralts line it's pretty much gg.
Playing stage 2 EX pokemon needs careful attention to bench pokemon. Typically you'd want to power them up then have no other pokemon left on te bench so your opponent can't cheese a sabrina win. Just because you pulled all your basics doesn't mean you also have to put all of them down.
I honestly feel like this deck is way too reliant on starting second. Any time i start first with the deck i feel like i need to strongly outplay my opponent to still win. Unless they brick comepletely of course. Do love both evo lines a lot though, definitely a fun deck to play and still very good.
I personally like marowak(with a combination of the ex and base, i like 2 base 1 ex, but i think the more popular version uses 2 ex one base) and sandslash works well too. There are other options too, but they dont play the same way imo.
I think if you pull mankey/primeape early enough you can actually deal with mewtwo quite easily. I play this same deck and managed to take a couple wins off mewtwo decks due to the sheer speed of primeape getting online.
Ahhh I can see that. Mewtwo does take a few turns to get online. Using the Promo Mankey with Primeape is hella strong as it’s similar to the speed of a Pikachu Ex deck. It basically comes down to who gets their energy out first with consistency. Nice
Deck List -
2 Mankey
2 Primeape
2 Machop
2 Machoke
2 Machamp
2 Potion
2 X Speed
2 Poke Ball
2 Prof Research
1 Gio
1 Sabrina
Going first with Mankey is rough
Normal monkey didn't have ability 😢
Basically primeape is like the S class heroes that do all the dirty work and Machamp is like Saitama that cleans all up with one punch 😂
Most S class are just there for show. Saitama does all the heavy lifting lol

Fantastic analysis, I’ll definitely test base machamp soon.
Under rated comment
What if you play both? Add one ex machamp for those situations or vice versa

damn i started playing after this card was available 😢
me too, we'll just have to wait until trading is implemented to play this deck
No worries man. I got like 12 mankeys. When trading gonna be available imma keep 2 just for u :* hit me up the moment trading is live!
@@pawepiatkowski1399Bro moment
I just started the game after the event with Mankey ended so hopefully trading allows me to get those 2 event cards. I have the rest of the deck.
same, but I've been winning a lot with just regular Mankey I just threw in a snorlax to delay for machamp lol.

That second match's deck was not cooking with that lapras/ dragonite deck
Is the regular non event Mankey card still as good? Or good enough to still run and win with this deck?
I would try marowak ex line instead
Maybe IV missed the video, but have you done a Ditto deck at all? Feels like a great troll deck

Awesome deck. Mewtwo ex is the only counter. Thanks
I'm surprised it took this long for players to pair Machamp with Primape.
is this deck still viable without the event mankey?
I made a primape kabutops deck and it is so fun :D
Is there still a way to get the event Mankey now?
Sadly no. The only way I think is trading. Next month or so.
💪 FLEX DECK!

I beat a deck like this with 2 aerodactyl. Heart of the coin flip for the win
Idk like sixth lmao cool deck tho
Underrated deck tbh
What if I don't hv mankey what can I use instead of it

@@someone999555then what will u build with these two ex
I use 2 meowth 1 persian in mine. Rainbow border and other 2star machamp claps cheeks.
Machad 💪🏻
My luck sucks because I’ve played four games in a row and haven’t pulled primeape once 🤬😭
Basically it’s an Anti Pikachu Deck which is everywhere. But hard countered by Mewtwo

I’m wiping mewto decks with onyx and machamp, instead of prime ape and Mankey

Hear me out, you should be able to discard your duplicate cards for pack hourglasses🤔
Dude u could have started attacking with primeape
Good deck, but mewtwo is meta so nahhhh 55% lose rate
Last match mewtwo would’ve won if he retreated into his other mewtwo but kid is bad
Thanks for the subs
Problem with this deck, too many ppl running psychic decks.
Monke
