hey, im looking at some classes/builds to play as a returning player in gw2. i reallyl ike the idea of a traditional mage with a staff. how complex and difficult is this build to learn and play? i did play some soulbeast years ago amd i also played a bit of power weaver, but dropped it fairly quickly, bc i really didnt like using the the fgs. i havent tried condi weaver back then, it as like super complex. how does condi staff weaver compare?
If you wanna play condi weaver, you're in for a ride, but if you like it, then stick with it and learn. That said, it's still one of the most complex classes to play in the game, and you can get rewarded even more than what weaver can offer by playing easier classes. It's a pure dps spec that is not outputting more damage than some of the other top dps specs while they also provide more team-wide utility. So if you're okay with not providing utility/boons, and not outputting the highest damage (strictly speaking from max potential, you can outdps pugs but they're still going to be playing easier to pilot classes which means you still have to work much harder than they do for similar if not worse results), then go nuts. I refuse to leave weaver but I also acknowledge that it's just not going to be as valuable as a lot of other classes atm. Even some other pure dps specs outdps weaver, so even compared against other similar low util specs, it falls flat.
@@rumia3691 mh yeah, a little while back i would have considered putting that amount of effort into the game and a class, but nowadays its pretty dead, dont have the motivation for this.
After he places the death mark you can step into it until the green fire on the outer ring went around all the way, at that point it starts doing damage
still think power mech needs a nerf for any build to even be worth taking unless you’re in a speedrun group lol, its so broken, and with worth i mean obviously you can get good results but the effort is so much more so it never feels good to me at least
its simple, pMech wont get the same appreciation or respect other builds get that require more therefore its not worth playing really i dont care much about numbers comparison in between specs, i rather appreciate the brilliant plays showcased on builds I like and this condi staff weaver performance was just beautiful
