Gw2: Staff Condi Weaver | Dark Ai - 37k

Hey guys, I wanted to share this PoV with you to show that ele can compete with other specs on this boss, and I also hope that it gives some people some guidance on how to play ele here. I choose to leave out Light Ai since its more of the same rotation wise.
Make sure to precast GoEP and swap it out before taking the mistlock. Also dont forget to precast 2 elementals who will provide some might for your group and boost your damage. Use burning retreat against the wall for a big dps boost or use it to traverse the arena, ideally you if you use it for movement you want to land some part of the field on the boss to get the best of both worlds.
I really fell in love with condi staff weaver, if theres any boss that youd like to see leave it in the comments!

Damn, I'm always impressed to see ""bad"" weapon used on hard encounter. Even if the buff to staff was hella strong I still don't see many players use it while you're puting a solid 37k on Ai, a really mobile champ.

May I know what you use for equipment? Building my own condi weaver, but (still half exotics) I only have 11k hp and am more fragile than glass cannons when i do instanced pve.

You get extra vitality from agony in fractals + ~2k health from tier 10 jade bot.
He is full vipers, elementalist rune, earth/torment sigil.

Why do you switch to double earth instead of fire/earth from time to time? I mean if i can't play it smooth and sometimes ruin rotation are there some marks to help me see if i need to go double earth?

I go double earth if 2 things apply:
1. I have Primordial Stance ready to take advantage of the double earth procs
2. I can fill the time in between 2 Eruptions with something so you dont do more than 1-2 earth autos, either with Meteor Shower or Burning Retreat+Fire Signet
Not double attuning earth is also a slightly higher burst though so keep that in mind for short phases
You will get a feel for it and its not a huge dps difference either way, if you ever double attune to earth when you shouldnt have you will notice immediatley cause autoing 4 times in earth feels terrible

Do u use staff ele on every encounter , in raids and ECT. Or there some bosses on which u will suggest using scepter ? Is there any?

I think on Sabetha, Xera, Cairn, MO, Largos Id play sceptre, cause it will just be better damage if you play them on the same level of proficency. Then on VG, KC and CA Id skip condi and go power

Staff is good here for the extra range and you can actually take advantage of Burning Retreat for dps. If you cant use BR for dps, then the damage drops some. Its a side-grade of scepter.

Staff isnt necessarily better but I like it more, both in terms of "feeling" of the weapon, animations, look etc. but also the moveset, burning retreat especially is super awesome and I use it a lot to dodge and handle mechanics in general.
I also think staff is much easier since the weave self ends on air->water instead of going into air in the middle of the weave self
