Very poorly researched. Ironically there will be less competition. Google looks after chromium, the Open source browser that Chrome is based off. If broken off, they will have no incentive to continue. Most other browsers (Brave, Opera, Edge etc) are based on Chromium. Chrome will likely charge them for its use of broken up from Google, making them less feasible to run. Google also pays millions a year to Firefox and Safari to make them the default search. Apple can continue Safari no problem, they have the money. Firefox, not so much - most of their income relies on Google.
